The location was fab, I'd imagine on race days that it would be a lot busier and noisier but for when my husband and I were there, it was perfect. Room was a good size for a couple. The female staff member who greeted us and mainly looked after us (I didn't get her name, all I know is she rides a scooter) was an absolute delight.

The TV transmitter had been damaged due to recent storms so could only get a couple channel's when we had come back from our days out but that was something completely outwith anyone's control. The dinner situation was a little annoying but again understandable due to the amount of guests staying at the hotel. It certainly didn't want me to cancel our booking at the lodge. The bed was a little uncomfortable in the room also.

Fabulous location, I booked very last minute on way to highlands as I was getting tired. Lovely welcome on arrival. The chef was on duty that night and he was quick to sort out issues with the room key and made sure I had somewhere to sit comfortably until I could access my room. I had my dog with me and a bowl of water was put down for him straight away. No extra charge for the dog either which was a nice bonus. The situation adjoining the racecourse was lovely, plenty of parking and lovely grass areas with seating. Room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. I was in a rush to leave in the morning so didn’t have breakfast but I was told there was a separate seating area for people with dogs to eat which was a lovely bonus. It can be awkward travelling with a dog on your own when you need to use a restaurant.

There wasn’t anything to dislike.

The lady on reception when we checked in was lovely. We felt that she was welcoming us into her house. The hotel was in a lovely location so quiet and not far to get into Perth.

When we went for breakfast there was hardly anything left. We had the choice of corn flakes as cereal. No spoons for cereal, no butter, no knives. I was in the process of cleaning a knife from a dirty table when the housekeeper came in and I asked her for all the items that were missing. She did replenish all the items including a choice of 5 cereals. The housekeeper as well as cleaning the rooms, dealing with the dinning room and kitchen also checked us out. Could do with another member of staff around not just a number to call.

The receptionist was enthusiastic and friendly. The decor was modern and pleasant. We liked that the bedroom windows opened wide enough to allow in fresh air (some hotels limit the windows opening too much). The shower was very powerful, with plenty of hot water. The outside of the building also looks modern and welcoming.

At the time of our visit there was temporarily no chef, so food wasn't available throughout the day. The continental breakfast offering was basic, with some of the options not being the best. These were very small issues though.

Everything... lovely place to land :)))... the staff always very friendly & most helpful, the food- the meals were amazing yummy... special thanks to the chef!!... the outdoor area/relaxing surrounds & views... the bar also had an amazing selection of drinks...& the cosy sitting area in the reception was esp very ambient... & the location very close to Scone Palace, Scone & Perth...

Possibly a wee small covered area outside for smokers when its raining...

Lovely wee hotel with a nice bar area and plenty seating outside to enjoy the fresh air. Room was spotless and spacious. Plenty room to store luggage etc. Huge bed and nice powerful shower to wake you in the morning. Breakfast was great with good quality produce and lots of fresh coffee, yogurts, fruit etc. Dairy milk alternatives in the fridge so you don’t have to wait or ask for them which is a nice touch. Definitely value for money. The staff were all really friendly, helpful and cheery. Haggis the wee doggo gave me a warm welcome and took me for a walk around the grounds. Definitely employee of the month for me lol. Great location as only around 15 mins to centre of Perth or 5 mins from Scone Palace and other local attractions.

Nothing to not like about it. Will be back for sure.

Absolutely everything went very well at the hotel. Staff could not have been more helpful. Rooms were very clean, breakfast was perfect, and the freshly warmed croissants were delightful. Excellent bar area, and although the hotel did not offer food, they were happy to provide plates and cutlery, and to deal with dishes after we had a delivery from local takeaway.

Only problem was with our Satnav. It did not locate the hotel, but that is probably more to do with it needing updated, as hotel does seem pretty new.

Location. So peaceful.

For the cost, I would have liked to have seen more attention to detail. £100 is a lot of money for 1 night. The bathroom extractor was clogged with dust (room 107). The lower window sill needed cleaned. The kettles click-off switch didn’t work. My husband ordered a white wine for dinner and a red wine came. We had a member of staff knocked on our door at 22.35pm and came in before we got to the door - he was checking whether the room was empty or not! Clearly we hadn’t been checked in properly! Also - I would recommend young female staff are encouraged to wear appropriate clothing rather than having very little on up top!

In a quite area, close to Scone Castle, easy parking for cars plenty of space food restaurant open for food breakfast lunch and dinner

Minor things - tv remote didn’t work needed to use buttons on side of tv. The GPS lead us on a wild goose chase to find the entrance not the fault of the venue. Entrance gate changed 2 years ago. We got to the entrance which said closed and drove on trying to find where the new entrance was 45 minutes later we found it. It should have only taken 5 minutes more but the gps mapping is not up to date. Once found it was easy.

The staff were lovely, welcoming and helpful. Very comfy bed.if the staff hadn’t been so helpful and nice we would not have been happy with our stay. Great pub restaurant in Scone - Brown and Blacks

We arrived on last day of a race meeting and parking was almost impossible. The staff were very welcoming which helped a lot, but the hotel had very little food choice after 3 busy days. I guess the hotel management needs to plan better for guests who arrive separately from racing people. Internet signal not very good and out tv picture (smart tv) kept breaking up
