Hotel is in an excellent position for City Centre etc. Hotel has views of the lake & there are several walks you can do around near it. Bed was very comfortable & staff were friendly. Would definitely stay here again when next in the area
Had to scan a code in the room if you wanted to book a table in the restaurant for a meal. Should be put on the bed or near the kettle so it's easily seen. If you don't use this method you can't eat as no bar meals on offer. At breakfast was only scrambled egg on offer & no fried eggs. Waitress who asked for our room number didn't show us to a table or checked we knew what to do especially as it was our 1st stay here.

Location was fantastic and beautiful scenery by the rowing lake. Room was really nice (executive suite) and large, with all facilities, as was bathroom. Breakfast was lovely with a great selection. Check in and out process easy. 24 hour bar open to residents.
Most staff were very friendly and attentive, apart from a couple of gents behind the bar and in restaurant on our first night. One was quite rude and seemed as though he didn't want to be there and body language was the same. Basically couldn't be bothered. Feel that the corridors to rooms could do with a freshen up decor wise, but everywhere else was good. On the Sunday we came back to bar for lunch, but was told the chef was busy and needed to catch up, so we couldn't order food (only sandwiches) until 3pm, and in the end the kind young lady behind the bar made them instead! Lots of car screeching at night in area beside hotel, which really detracted from the peaceful surroundings and a good night's sleep.

Room was very clean and the view out of window (room 103)was lovely, geese and swans by the lake. Very close to the centre (10 min drive)
Bedside cabinets needed to be closer to the bed and ideally with a plug socket to charge phone/tablet by the bed.

The room was very clean and tidy. Breakfast was good value. The grounds ate wonderful . It was very easy to get to. The staff was very hwlpfull and nice.
The price of drinks was a bit high. The wifi was hard to log into. There was no pastrys at breakfast. There was not much else that we could see that was wrong with the place.

I like the views of the lake and the garden. The smashed avocado I had for breakfast was also very tasty. I like that the room provided a hairdryer and iron/ironing board. I like the large shower we had in our room and shower head.
I weren’t keen on the decor in the room as it’s quite dark. I also didn’t like that we were provided with only 1 pillow and a cushion instead of 2 pillows. I feel like the breakfast menu time was quite late as I had to wake up early and there weren’t any options to eat earlier as breakfast starts at 10am. Apart from that everything else was great.

Nice location. Have stayed before. Car park. Staff happy to help.
It appears since I last visited that there is some renovations happening. Could be a little cleaner in the bar area. Chair badly marked and tables could have been wiped. I believe like most hotels you don’t perhaps have to staff to complete everything.

Lovely Hotel, very peaceful and tranquil with superb views. (when it quietened down), the staff where friendly. Bed was amazing, Firm but plush. I can honestly say, if the first night and morning hadn't happened. (which was out of their control) I wouldn't really have had anything to write about in the 'what you didn't like' section. The location was wonderful a beautiful lake and surroundings.
On the first night: Boy racers in the carpark until 2:20am Blaring their music and base. When I asked if I could change rooms I was advised that they where fully booked (understandable) and that I should call the police. - I didn't, I went out and spoke with them myself! I fell asleep around 3am and was then woken up at 6am to the coaches arriving outside my window for the kayak competition. I then had an event to attend and I can honestly say 3 hours sleep made me a grouch. I couldn't get onto the Wifi and the shower was semi blocked so it didn't drain away in a timely manner.

Staff super friendly, location is perfect with good shopping literally down the road! Food is great - the chef cooks a mean steak and the chips/fries are almost too good!
The only thing I would say is the room (we booked an executive double) doesn't have great lighting - could do with a ceiling light in the bedroom area and something more in the lounge area. There's tea/coffee facilities in the room incl a coffee pod machine however a mini fridge to keep a cold drink would be great. There's also no drawer units so had to keep clothes in my bag - ok if only staying a cple days but we were staying 2 weeks! This was our 3rd stay and will definitely be staying again - so none of these points are a deal breaker at all.

Rooms at this hotel are always to a high standard, breakfast is buffet style, and the location has excellent river views and nature trail walks (although we were informed not after October as area's tend to flood making walking impossible) The staff are very accommodating and always guaranteed a friendly welcome on reception
This visit a couple of hiccups with hotel booking system (never known before on all my previous trips) but special thanks to Molly & Riley who offered excellent customer service and deserve recognition. Management please note these two members of staff were wonderful. a true asset to the hotel.

Good location with easy parking and the room was clean and comfortable.
Check was awful. I gave my name to the receptionist who then told me to use the terminal next to her desk to check in. This do not recognise my name nor my booking reference! I complained and then the receptionist could not find me by name either. When she did find my booking I got to my room which was a twin not the double I’d booked. Back to reception to spend another 10 mins for her to find a double “I’ve only been here 2 months so I don’t know which are doubles or not”. 25 minutes to check into my room in a near empty hotel wasn’t fun.
