Stunning place, amazing views and a fantastic hostess who really welcomed us into her home. Continental breakfast with a great choice and Fiona made us packed lunches with what we didn't eat, which was a lovely touch. The bedroom is spacious, very comfortable and super clean. Great shower in the spacious bathroom. There is a little room set up with all plates, cutlery fridge and microwave if you don't manage to book to eat out. We wanted for nothing. I would absolutely recommended this place and we will definitely be back. Thank you Fiona for making our stay perfect!

Fiona has beautiful room in her home that she rents out. There is a table and chairs available for our use if you want to bring take out back and a little fridge and microwave as well. She served a good breakfast with lots of choices and made us a packed lunch of the items we didn't eat for breakfast that we enjoyed on our days of sight seeing. Her sandwiches are the best! The location is quite central in Skye and made it easy to travel to the different areas of the island. Portree is about five minutes away if you want to go out for a meal. Fiona also was good at sharing places to see in her area and had different sight seeing brochures and maps for us to look at.

Our stay was excellent, abowe our expectations! In my life I have been in a fef four star hotels, but i have never been treated so nicely as in Tigh a Raoin. Fiona was really friendly and sweet, she even pick up us on the bus stop, and took us to Portree, even tho she totally didn't have to. The house was beautifull, clean and we felt like at home. Breakfest was rich and delicious and Fiona was so kind, that she even pack the rest of it for our trip. I don't even know, what to add- I would recomend this acomodation to everyone.

Fiona is super nice. She is a great hostess. She really makes sure that you feel welcome. The room is also perfect. It's super clean, comfortable and has a nice view. You even have a table, fridge and microwave in the entrance area (of the house, not your room) where you can sit and eat. The breakfast is served in the nice looking kitchen. It's an awesome breakfast with bread, eggs, vegetable, fresh fruit, yoghurt, juice, cereals, nuts. We absolutely recommend to stay at Tigh A Raoin. It was awesome.

Fiona was a gracious host and every detail was perfect. From the beautiful, light, spacious room and en-suite, to the wonderful breakfast she prepared, we loved everything about our stay. Only 10 mins drive from Portree, once seeing how busy the town was we happily grabbed takeaway to eat back at the property in our own sitting area. We cannot recommend staying here highly enough. Forget the busy town centre and escape to a perfect quiet place just short drive area.

Fiona was an excellent host who tried to accomodate our needs with great attention to detail. She carefully pack what was left from our breakfast for us to eat on our day out and trip back. The house was neat and homey its location was just right for a trip around Skye. We had a lovely stay and would recommend Tigh a Raoin to anyone visiting Skye.

The heating was closed at night so we had trouble sleeping as it was a bit too chilly. But as we informed Fiona she quickly took measures to condition the place to help us feel warmer as best as she could. Together with some extra warm fleece blankets that Fiona provided, we had a good sleep on our second night.

I loved everything about my stay! I hope to visit again sometime. If you're driving to the Isle of Skye, this is definitely the best place to stay. Fiona, the host, was incredibly responsive from the beginning and provided detailed instructions on how to get to the house well before our departure. She gave us a warm welcome and was extremely helpful with all of our requests. The house is located in a beautiful area and the view from the dining room is just so relaxing. We were lucky to arrive on a sunny day. The town is just a few minutes' drive away, which is very convenient. The breakfast exceeded all of our expectations. We were just looking for something quick and easy, but Fiona went above and beyond. She prepared far more than we could possibly eat and even packed it up for us to have as lunch on the road! There was milk and cereal, muesli, fresh bread and croissants, cheese, meat, tons of fruit, yogurt, and so much more. On our second night, it was a bit chilly, but a welcoming fire was burning in the fireplace, and we spent a lovely two hours in the cozy living room before settling down in the bedroom. I would happily stay in the living room for hours on end! The bedroom was equally cozy, and the shower was hot and powerful (which was a nice change from some of the other places I've stayed in the UK). It was the kind of shower I'd like to have at home! There were also a few Highland cattle being raised just next to the house, which made breakfast even more enjoyable with a view of the beautifully decorated garden.

I think I loved everything about this place. The owner/host, Fiona, is a wonderful, wonderful person and I loved chatting with her over tea. She serves breakfast as part of the stay but she also packed me lunches both days I was there so I could take them with me on my adventures in Skye. The house itself was beautiful with amazing views. Extremely comfortable with a fast wifi, netflix/tv, and literally everything you need to call a place home for a few days. I know I am coming back soon!

It's hard to describe how good our stay in Tigh a Raoin was. Everything was simply perfect. Clearly it can be noted that everything (the room, breakfast) is prepared with great care and affection. The location, a little apart from Portree, gives us a different feeling of being on the magic Isle of Skye. Fiona takes care of her guests in an amazing way, with great care and kindness (including preparing a snack for our island exploration!). I don't know if I can one day I can go back to Skye Island (I would certainly like to!), but if I come back I will certainly try to stay in Tigh to Raoin again.

Tigh A Raoin is a nice quiet B&B, away from the main road in a little village a few miles nord of Portree. The room was spacious, very clean and equipped with everything you could ask for. The breakfast was really nice!!! And thanks again for the lunch packets made from the breakfast leftovers...

For us it was perfect, but if you want a stay in the middle of big village/city, this is probably not for you... But hey, you come to Skye for peace and quietness... you can go to Edinburgh for lots of people and city noise!!!
