The staff were extremely helpful. When I arrived in Ringwood by National Express after 10pm, there was no local buses running and Taxi's were busy. No Uber's either. The hotel/bar manager (sorry, I forget her name) was very helpful and arranged for her husband (chef) to pick me up from the bus station. I'm incredibly grateful for their help. The Room was very spacious and comfortable with blackout curtains. The bed was very nice and the bathroom was also spacious. The pub downstairs (also used by non-guests) was really nice as well. Good variety of food and drinks. Tip: if arriving by public transport, ensure you arrive during the day and arrange for a taxi to pick you up from the bus stop.

Nothing that I didn't like - especially after the help and service I received when I arrived.

Fantastic Queen size bed, french doors to garden to let my dog out, good size TV, lovely bathroom with bath and shower, radiator and thoughtfully designed wardrobe.

This is just nit picking but, Bathroom mirror too far away from standing at sink, had to shave using long mirror in hallway, no doggy bin had to walk across muddy grass in the rain to green bin on other side of field. TV needs retuning as very few channels actually available assuming it’s connected to a terrestrial aerial and receiving freeview. Couldn’t use shower as water boiling hot and couldn’t be turned down. As I said just nit picking and didn’t spoil our stay, except for the boiling water.

Lovely place to stay. Big room, with double bed, iron and ironing board. Spacious bathtub with hot shower with products provided. Good breakfast - lots of options from the pub menu attached to the hotel. View outside was of the garden. Lots of parking spaces outside. It was close (10 mins drive) from the fire and military centre where we had our pre-hospital medical training (ICC - immediate care course) organised by BASICS. It's very close to Southampton so I was able to do a bit of shopping on my long way back to Stoke.

The hotel reception closes by 11pm or midnight I think, and reopens in the morning. Therefore, if you are late and come in the middle of the night, there's no one there.

We had the same room we stayed in before. Michael at reception was delightful and also at the bar and restaurant nothing was too much for him.

Few of the staff were rude not helpful and everything was a pain if mentioned anything. Ie ordered steak medium came back well done questioned it n was told very rudely it was cooked the same time as the other steak. Started closing early n turning off lites while we were still in restaurant /bar with family . No last orders bell was rung.

Breakfast was lovely nothing was too much trouble..... Young lady with a ponytail was so attentive!! Stayed at another hotel beforehand the full English breakfast was so much more flavoursome here!! Mushrooms were so nice!! The room was cosy!!

The walls are a bit thin so easily heard people in room next to us! At 1am guests downstairs came back after a night out they were very noisy talking loud they went inside then came outside at 1.30am again ... fortunately it went quiet few minutes later!!

The room clean and bathroom, bed was very comfy and large. The dog loved the room, as could open patio doors to take him straight out on to a grassy area, to play plus we could sit out . The breakfasts were excellent and the evening food was delicious also. Price of our three nights was good.

It was very close to duel carriage way and sometimes a nightmare to get out. Bedroom need a bulb in wall light as you come in, especially if dark. For us it was light evenings so didn't bother us.

Staff were lovely and atmosphere throughout hotel and restaurant was very good. generally a good standard of hotel which gave me a good overnight stay.

I was in room No.1 and the gutters outside my window was blocked so rain was overflowing all night and was quite noisy. Not a major issue but maintenance is needed. over bath shower has a sign saying that is could be slippery- thats an understatement as I found it very slippery- hotel should provide non slip suction type mats to improve safety. Pillows were very Fat and dont allow for proper head angle even when sleeping on my side. 1 or 2 Thinner pillows should be provided. Main light in the room was very dim and even with all the side lights on the room was very dark. I imagine that a woman would struggle to do her makeup etc.

Loved the position of our room with doors opening out directly onto the extensive grounds. We had our dog with us so it was ideal for her! And only a very short drive from a lovely local nature park x There's a wide variety of breakfast choices from full English, eggs of every description, continental and cereals and pastries! and generous portions!! Dinner was delicious too x Our dogs (3 red setters, x3 families) were made very very welcome and the staff were happy, kind, friendly and welcoming x we'll all definitely re visit again! Thank you to all the team x

Slower service in the restaurant than expected. We understood this was due to staffing issues x However , this did not impact our stay too much x The staff that were there, were absolutely lovely!

food and staff fantastic the view from the patio doors was amazing plenty of free parking and right on the edge of the New Forest. The large bed was very comfy.

We paid £10.00 extra per night for our dog to help pay for our room to be cleaned. We stayed for a week. Our room was never cleaned we had the same sheets bedding all week we also had one large towel each for the whole week. The patio doors opened onto beautiful countryside but the full length nets and curtains were mouldy at the bottom.

The duty manager I booked in with was excellent. Very personable and patient. Dog friendly rooms with access onto wooded picnic area from room. Lovely outlook. Plenty of parking. Although hotel on busy, main road, couldn’t hear the road from the room at the rear of the building. Breakfast included option. Comfy bed and black-out curtains.

No alternative milk option at breakfast.
