Its a lovely place, Excellent, friendly Staff, especially Pam who was a joy to see and speak to over Breakfast, with great local knowledge, and always a smile on her face, with excellent service. Despite being very short staffed, Kara, Huw and Will did a great job in keeping the place running through the busy periods.

The whole place is in need of a refresh (happening very soon we were told) the carpets were very worn and stained, the paintwork and woodwork in great need of updating. The, what could be, lovely gardens, looked very untidy with long grass and untidy borders. I will definitely be going back again next year (if not just to see the new upgrade that has been promised)

We received a warm, friendly welcome and shown to a light and airy twin bedded room with en-suite bathroom. The room was very clean and the beds extremely comfortable. Tea/coffee making facilities were provided. We really liked the conservatory where the meals are served. Our breakfasts, one a continental and the other a full English were delicious, with extra tea and coffee offered. We also had an evening meal with my husband enjoying a very tasty steak pie with chips and peas and myself a prawn salad.

The window in the bathroom had clear glass and as it overlooked an outside eating area, it did mean we had to keep the window shut and blind pulled down for privacy. We also noted that the main stair carpet and bedroom carpet were rather tired and need replacing as was some of the decor. However, we know that the new owner only took over 3 months ago and is intending a full refurbishment. We would certainly like to return again and see what transformation has taken plac

The grove is in a perfect location right in the heart of St David’s. It also offers the luxury of parking too which is always difficult to find in the town. So it was great to be able to park the car and just walk in without having to worry about parking times on the street. The family room was excellent and very spacious and clean. Very big bed and comfortable sofa bed. Fitted myself, my mum and my 8 month old no problem. The staff were amazing, very accommodating and friendly. Will be booking again for next year!

Nothing it was all spot on!

Location and the staff were excellent, very friendly. Room clean and comfortable

TV remote did not work, therefore TV did not work. Previous guest had reported it too. I reported it on my first evening and staff did make some attempt to resolve it but unsuccessfully, so I had no TV during my stay. No discount or partial refund was offered despite not getting part of what I had paid for. Sink and bath plugs did not keep in the water for very long and needed constantly topping up. Restaurant food could have been better

Great location, friendly staff, good food, the room was huge for Britain and the bathroom was enormous. The house is lovely, though damp. It's really quiet, three was no noise from the pub at all.

The bathroom and beds were fine, but the room could use a deep clean in the hard to reach corners, like so many British hotel rooms. We had rain and the room was very cold and damp. Thankfully the heating works well and you can actually turn on the radiators as a guest.

Clean and tidy room. Bed was very comfortable, but could have been bigger. Also could use a headboard as the pillows kept slipping down between the mattress and the wall. Plugs coud have been more easily accessible for charging phones etc but otherwise the room was okay, TV was good, and tea, coffee and biscuits were provided. Shower was alright, toiletries provided and nice and clean. But the doors were a bit broken. The food was good, but not great. For these reasons, I've given it 8/10. What makes this place though is the staff. They were all wonderful and couldn't have done more for us. Incredibly friendly and helpful, we stayed over Christmas and they decorated it beautifully and provided lovely Christmas music and food. Kara was especially lovely and made sure to make our stay enjoyable and go smoothly.

As mentioned above, just a few little tweaks to the room would have been good.

the staff were very friendly and accomodating- important when travelling on your own. In turn the other residents responded and were very pleasant. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast area was light and airy.

The hotel is just under new management so I know there are plans for improvements. The walled gardens have a lot of scope to be a really lovely place to be and I hope that the management gets some advice to update the planting from a landscape gardener.

Breakfast was ok! Not the best we've had. The location is perfect for visiting different places in St Davids. We had a nice stay. We had a few drinks in the bar in the evening which was nice. Lady behind the bar was very friendly and nice. The bed in our room was very comfy too. Shower was nice and powerful as well.

There was mold above the shower which wasn't pleasant to the eye, and the toilet could have been a bit cleaner, there were marks in the bottom of toilet pan.Generally the hotel could do with a touch of decorating to freshen it up.

Nice hotel, comfortable bed, very friendly staff. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

The food was not great . Frozen fish and chips , I did expect better for the price, the chips were not even cooked properly. I had a tiny piece of metal in my omelette. Which I did mention. My daughter did enjoy her meals so that's good. . The crows were so noisy, kept us awake till dusk and from dawn. Can't be helped I suppose, not much can be done.We are not used to any noise.

location is great and it has a wonderful potential. It’s nice and quiet with a lovely conservatory style dining area and also a walled garden behind where we could let the dog have a run.

It always seems understaffed. Breakfast wasn’t stunning although it was hot and didn’t take too long to arrive. Decor a little tired in places and the whole hotel needs a bit of investment and TLC in order to become a more attractive place to stay.
