Quirky place with staff to match. Everyone is bubbly and welcoming. As soon as we stepped into our room (Wonky room) we could tell just how much attention to detail had been given. The hotel is full of unique furniture that appears to be custom made/upcycled alongside some vintage/retro memorabilia. Each object has a story and they combine with the interior design and overall theme seamlessly. Everywhere you look there is something interesting to see. You'll need a week or two just to catch all the fine details. All aspects of the hotel service as well as the bar were exceptional, everyone is so friendly and we were made to feel right at home. The bar feels like a pub in its own right and is a great place to spend an evening. The additional sports bar with its own outdoor seating area is a nice alternative for when the bar gets a little busy. The pool tables and cues in the sports bar were well kept. Bar prices are very reasonable and more often cheaper than the competition with no compromise to service or atmosphere, we actually preferred the Hatters bar to most others in the town because of the quirky touch, friendly staff and unique decor. Breakfast was consistently delicious and the service was also without compromise, toast and cereals as well as cold drinks can be self served with coffee and cooked breakfasts to order. The breakfast portions are just right and the meats are definitely locally sourced and of high quality. Housekeepers are attentive and the towels/linens were always clean and fresh. Our in room drinks were restocked as well as bins emptied, the beds were also remade and towels replaced. The bathroom and fittings have been recently renovated and the shower/bath worked well. We loved the Alice in wonderland themed room and also appreciated the balance between multiple themes in the bar. The wedding venue areas looked very well presented. Overall a great and memorable experience. We look forward to coming again.

We didn't book enough time off

The room was lovely and spacious, and the radiator worked so well, and managed to heat up the room from freezing to toasty very quickly. The hotel was clean and was Alice in Wonderland themed in the lobby, not just in the themed rooms.

We could still hear the entertainment from the pub downstairs, even though we had avoided picking a themed room to try and avoid this, however, it still sounded great so we didn’t mind too much - maybe it would’ve been nice to know what time this would finish at. Also, the check-out process meant we just left our keys at reception, without seeing any staff. It would have been nice to tell someone we were leaving, or have a paper to sign to say we had left

The theme of the hotel Is fantastic! The entrance hall, characters on the stairs, all the decor was great! I booked 1 night only for a mother daughter film and pamper night as a congrats for my daughter passing her GCSE's. I didn't want just the usual b n b. The hatter Hotel was everything, clean rooms, lovely staff and Our room was amazing!! I've never seen a bed so big!! The bathroom was very spacious, good sized bath and fab theme ran throughout! Lovely tea and coffee facilities in the room and although we are not breakfast eaters this was an option. We had one small query that the TV in our room did not stream film apps like was mentioned in the room description, this was essentially why we were there. The lady at the front desk was very apologetic and sent the maintenance man who swapped the TV within 15 minutes! We had the best stay and would recommend to anyone wanting to stay somewhere fun, clean and comfortable. Will be booking again!! Oh and only a 15-20 minute stroll to the pier and amusements.. free parking on site.

Nothing! Loved the place!!!

We stayed for two nights with our dog. Staff were really friendly and made us feel very welcome (including doggo Liz!). Really relaxed atmosphere. Had everything we could have wanted, including full bar, food and snacks, pool tables, darts, board games, enclosed outside area for dog to run round in the evening, excellent location (literally a 10 minute walk from the beach!). Lots of niceities in room such as tea, coffee, sugar, milk, toiletries, storage space, towels, TV... Theming was a very fun bonus! We would come back. :)

We are night owls so unfortunately missed breakfast - think it's 8-10am. I understand why it doesn't run later, but if the opportunity ever arises for it to run to, e.g. 11am, I think fellow night owls would be pleased. :)

This was a last minute booking & we really didn’t expect too much but we were so wrong! This place is fabulous! They were very accommodating, even let us check in an hour early which was great. We booked a standard room but we’re thrilled, especially the kids, to find out we had a magical themed room, it really was amazing. Plenty of room, really decent beds & a separate bathroom. The hotel itself is really fun, there’s stuff to see everywhere, my children kept looking for the little fairy doors & the snake went down a treat. We had breakfast on our stay which was lovely, really couldn’t fault the food or the staff. We would definitely stay here again.

There really isn’t anything we didn’t like. We had no issues other than occasionally hearing other guests but you get that in most hotels.

When we arrived, we were checked in and were shown where our rooms were. All the rooms were spotlessly clean and very comfortable. However, my mum and dad had a problem with their room, there was not enough room to get my dad in his wheelchair to the toilet. My son went to reception to explain the dilemma, he saw Tay, the lovely receptionist, who immediately said they had another room if the would like to see if it was more suitable, which it was. From bringing up the dilemma to having a new room, was less than 10 minutes. The beds are king-size, beautiful white linen and oh so very comfortable. All the staff were very friendly and very helpful. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend

Absolutely nothing. Everything was perfect

friendly staff. Great theamed interior. Beds comfy though one in our room had a slight sqeek. Only spent a few hours there as first went into room about 2am and had booked out by 9am so did not use hotel facilities. There is a lift to all floors which is not common in Skegness which is an issue for groups like ours with disabled guests. It is a bit small and you probably could not get more than a small basic mobility scooter in it. However all the rooms are quite close to the lift so there are no long walks to get to your room. Also plenty of tea and coffee in room though could not find milk but had our own with us. The reception is not manned 24 hour so if like us you are not going to use the room till late you need to arrive early enough to get your key. Overall well worth the stay

My goodness any Alice in Wonderland fan is not going to want to leave. I was like a kid running around Ooooing and AAaaahing at the decor. We are going back again later this year because I’d quite like to live there 😆 The feature rooms are brilliant, the Alice decor is amazing 🤩 the staff are so friendly. The owners daughter met us at reception and she was lovely and so helpful. It’s about a 15 min walk from the beach but if you young children I’d add another 10 mins to that walk but we liked the exercise. The bar was great and had a band on when we stayed and the bar staff were fab with their singing and dancing alongside ❤️👏😆 We can’t wait to come back again.

The only issue with our room was no dressing table/mirror so I had to spread all my women’s junk across the window sill and take a mirror off the wall in the hall so I was able to do my hair/make up. The bathroom did have a bit of mould around the bath but the bed sheets and towels were lovely and clean and the bed was so comfortable.

Breakfast was lovely but, in my opinion, should have been included in the room price. It was hot and a good size. The Wonky room was funky! Made a nice change to the usual hotel rooms. The bar area was fantastic. Staff were very friendly and Dee was very accommodating. The bed was probably the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on.

There wasnt anything that we didn't like but, we did think that the stair carpet could do with being replaced and, maybe the public areas (ie. Corridors) could do with being spruced up.

Excellent breakfast, reasonably priced. Lift to upper floors an advantage for older and/or disabled guests. Bar and car-parking/check-in, all accessible. Bar accessible for pets. On site boutique. Alice in Wonderland theme in public rooms and some bedrooms. Direct access to Seacroft Beach via, footpath note : uneven surface in parts. Nearest beach car-park & shops 5 min. drive.
