Located right next to the beach and walking distance to the pleasure Beach - room was a good size - had sea view - polite and friendly staff - good breakfast in the mornings

It’s a very old building and the rooms needed some updating and freshening up as - shower head full of scale - shower curtain needed changing- bath tub marked where bath mat sits - curtains not sliding properly- dusty carpet behind chest of drawers and coffee stains on skirting - remote control for telly not working- reading lights in wrong place as too near your head if you sit up in bed - but the beds were comfortable and we all slept really well

The hotel is in a brilliant position almost on the beach. The staff are always friendly and helpful whenever we have stayed there. The food from breakfast to evening meal, is very good. We did have a problem with the room we were given, but the staff were happy to switch rooms for us after identifying the problem.

The only drawback we could see was at the breakfast table, there are no menus laid out, so it’s assumed that what is visible, ie breakfast cereals, items for the cooked breakfast, are the only items on offer, however, we later found out that if you ask for a specific item, eg Poached Egg, then they will do it for you upon request.

Staff are exceptionally helpful and efficient at North Shore. The room was very comfortable and roomy with double aspect windows and stunning views out over the golf course and out to sea (room 102). There is plenty of free parking and charging points. Note though, that it will be busy at weekends as golfers arrive to play the day away. The Braid bar is top notch with great views and a real buzzy atmosphere. The dinner was really first class and breakfast too. A quiet stretch of Sandy beach is just two minutes walk away and Skegness town is about five minutes drive.

This is not a criticism as the North Shore is a great hotel, but I think two chairs instead of one in the room and a small coffee table would put the icing on the cake…just my personal view.

The room was spacious and had a great view out on the golf course. Room was very clean, linen and towels were fresh. The toilet brush needs to be thrown away though. The shower was a little temperamental, going from freezing cold to very hot in a second. Could location to the beach literally 30 seconds from the hotel and about a 15 to 20 minute walk to Skegness. We did have breakfast which is well worth the add on when booking, and happily paid on the day. Would definitley stay here again.

The only thing I would mention is the window on the side to the bedroom is over looked by the balcony. I understand you can't move the window but suggest some frosted sheets over it for some privacy. This way you can keep the curtains open, as we had them shut all the time we were there.

The location is great, just far enough out of Skegness. All of the staff are very polite.

A typical golfing establishment with a lot of "im better than you" attitudes. Left standing at the bar waiting to be served while a conversation was being held with who i presume were regulars or club members. Room101 has a public balcony outside which allows the people using it to actually see into your room so privacy was a little bit lacking. The "double bed" was two singles pushed together which in itself is ok if the beds and mattresses are at the same height. The bathroom is a little dated with quite a few chips in the glazing in the wash basin. Its a shower, very weak, over a very high bath with no grab handles, a little bit awkard getting in and out.

Comfy bed and soft sheets. Room service made the bed and topped up the tea whilst we are out which was nice. The room was airy and comfortable. Good value really.

Some of the fixtures in the room looked a little tired maybe, the lamps seemed to be wonky like they were broken though still lit up fine. Bath tub had some sticky marks left in it but it was nothing major and we cleaned it before having a bath ourselves. Lack of sockets next to the bed were slightly annoying but that's not to be helped. None of my issues would stop me going again.

My son and I had a lovely breakfast to set us up for the day. The quality of the locally sourced products of the bacon and sausages stood out. My room had everything in it that was needed. When it came to our evening meals, the staff were very helpful in recommending choices from the menu. The food was delicious! If ever we are up this kneck of the woods again, I'll definitely be staying at this hotel. This hotel had a real character to it.

Nothing really. As far as I could see it was a perfect stay. For a hotel like this of such beautiful character, you can't afford to be nick-picking.

Quiet, comfortable, friendly reception staff. Lovely location just off the beach.

We stayed in the Lodge for one night. People also stayed alongside in the rooms either side of us and quite frankly didn’t care about anyone else staying in the block - allowing their doors to bang shut on regular occasions so as to disturb people for no reason!! Late at night and silly o’clock in the morning too - so disrespectful! Maybe a sign at the lodge entrance asking people to be respectful of other users and ensure that the doors aren’t allowed to bang please?

The hotel was of nice decor.. The staff were all friendly and professional. The breakfast was hearty & delicious as were the two evening meals I had. The room was comfortable and clean and suited my needs.. The view wasn’t great (looked into the fire escape) but I didn’t go for the view…I was up early and back when it was dark… I did venture to the sea which is 100yds away..and that was lovely..

Usually cups are replenished..but this was stated in info I was given that they wouldn’t be but I could get clean cups from the bar/Resturant area..which wasn’t a problem to be honest..It may be for some..

I have limited mobility so requested a room on a lower level the staff not only gave me a room which was easy accessible but told me that I could park my car nearer which was a bonus as the main car park was on the opposite side of the hotel from where we were staying and I was able to park right outside our room. Our booking included breakfast and evening meals. The food was awesome! Big platefuls at dinner, expertly cooked, the trouble was it was so damn delicious that we ate too much and at breakfast the following day we couldn’t manage the huge full English that was on offer and only had toast ! With only a few of us dinning at the hotel our evening meal was served in the bar room we were made so welcome and made to feel right at home by BEN a big mention for this guy he was more than helpful and couldn’t do enough for us - THANK YOU BEN

There was nothing to dislike we truly enjoyed our stay and we will definitely be coming back.
