The "room" was a space in the top of the building that actually had 3 bedrooms and a shared bathroom. Ideal for 4 friends for an overnight stay. 2 x double beds + 2 twin beds Lots of tea & coffee etc and toiletries in the shower (which was an overhead with great pressure) I struggled a bit because I am 6ft tall and had to make sure I ducked going through the doorways and I had to watch out for the low beams in the bedroom I slept it. Otherwise it was great for the four of us all being in one room

For just one night there wasn't anything that would make the stay better

We stayed in the attic room and it was great! Brilliant for travelling as friends as it meant that we could sit and chat with a brew in the communal area. Friendly welcome when we arrived, lovely and warm, a comfy bed and very clean. We couldn't hear any sound from the downstairs bar, and it's not hard to find a good breakfast in Skipton so we didn't miss not having it included. The attic rooms are quite quirky; you are staying in the converted attic space of an old house and there are original latch doors on the bedrooms, and the bathroom has been fitted into the space. If you're looking for five star minimalism, this may not meet your expectations but we loved it, it suited our needs perfectly and we will be back!

The shower controls in the bathroom need looking at because it wasn't obvious how to increase the water temperature, and the condition of some of the bathroom tiles and sealant could be described as "tired", but that didn't spoil our stay in any way.

We were greeted by a friendly host who made us feel very welcome. We booked a 2 night stay in a lovely double room with a roll top bath within the room and ensuite shower room. The room was lovely and warm upon arrival of a very wet cold day. The room was very large yet very cosy. Shower was very powerful and lovely and the bath was amazing to lie in, chill and watch TV. Hand-wash and body wash is provided in the shower room so you would need to shop for bubble bath for that cosy bath. The Cocktail Bar opened downstairs until about 1am, it was a bit noisy but nothing that would keep you awake, just people enjoying themselves. We couldn't hear any noise throughout the building it was just outside noise as our hotel room was at the front. I'd definitely stay here again.

If I'm being really picky then it would be that the TV only had 4 channels available but we found something to watch anyway so not a big issue for us. The bathroom could do with a few things updating or replacing, for example a rusty bin, only one bulb working in the bathroom mirror, few rust spots in places and dusty toilet roll holder and skirting boards, maybe a more thorough clean of the bathroom. Nothing major that affected our stay though. We did have to go out and purchase toilet roll as the reception isn't manned so we couldn't ask anyone for them. Maybe have a couple of toilet rolls in the room rather than just one. However, regardless of the very picky negatives it was a wonderful stay.

In town centre near shops, bars - short walk to train station- we were contacted to check what time we were arriving . Comfy beds and soft pillows- . hairdryer- ironing board - fan - tea coffee etc in room Lovely hot shower and light airy bathroom Lovely family running hotel Good value for money

Nothing to complain about Lots of stairs to rooms so be mindful if you not able to climb stairs. Hotel clean - just abit of chipped paint here and there but just usual wear and tear.

The very kind proprietor (Danu?)( Danny?) saved my situation when I needed a place to stay in an emergency. The place was actually a 3-bedroom suite, but I only used and needed one room. I didn’t see the other 2 bedrooms, but the big room where I stayed was very comfortable with a wonderful bed. The bathroom was clean and new. Nice towels and linens. I would definitely stay there again. Thanks so much Danny!

I didn’t mind the stairs, but some people might?

Perfect location for a day/night out in Skipton. Breakfast wasn't included so nipped across the road to Weatherspoons. Lots of cafes nearby if a pub isn't for you.

Didn't realize there was a nightclub in the basement thats open till 1am. But having said that, it was gone midnight when we returned to our room, so by the time we were settled and ready to sleep it wasn't really a problem.

location was very good for everything. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The guy who met us when checking in was very helpful , friendly and chatty.

Not too sure of the nightclub underneath, it was quite loud until midnight ish. Room was advertised with robes which weren’t available, not really needed though. The room we stayed in had a very creaky floor boards and needed a bit of talc, in all think it was overpriced for what it was.

We liked the comfort of our room. It was decorated tastefully and the hotel was situated within walking distance of bars , restaurants and shopping facilities. Although the hotel did not provide breakfast there was facilities opposite, which served a delicious breakfast.
