Location could not be better, being in the middle of the town in a beautiful cottage that oozed traditional features. Our room was very cozy, clean and had everything we needed, which was just as well as the weather was awful. On the landing, there was a tray with supplemental teas, coffees & toilet roll. Thought that was a great idea. Between 4 & 5pm the owners provided mulled wine & warm mince pies in the lounge area which had a roaring log burner - very nice indeed. Although not big drinkers, the lounge also had an honesty bar which again was a fantastic idea. Breakfast was gorgeous. We had traditional breakfasts both mornings which were top quality. Loved the sossies!! Will definitely return to Ashfield House.

Not a complaint at all, but the whole cottage was very warm. We turned our radiator off for the duration and the room was still very hot. Breakfast room also very hot in the mornings. We stayed during Storm Darragh so spent a lot of time in our room. The TV & wifi was intermittent signal wise. Owner came up and resolved, but the Digital channels also went off in the end. Again this is not a complaint at all, and the issue was very likely down to the storm. We listened to Christmas tunes on the iphone instead :-).

The building is attractive and very central. The owners are friendly and very helpful. Breakfast is cooked to order and of excellent quality, clearly containing the best ingredients. There is a comfortable sitting room. No dinner is served, but there are numerous good cafes, restaurants and pubs within easy walking distance. The place oozed individuality and character.

The entrance is a fairly tight squeeze for a big car. I watched a Mercedes 4 by 4 making a real hash of getting in, but once the narrow passages have been negotiated, there is good parking. The bedroom was a little smaller than I would have liked, but with a very comfortable bed.

What a lovely place with really great staff/owners. Our room was bright and airy, overlooking the back garden. The garden is really lovely and has several tables and chairs to enable one to enjoy it. There are lots of little complimentary extras that make Ashfield House extra nice and welcoming. One can feel a bit awkward in some B&Bs, but not here! The breakfasts were superb, with plenty of choice including a complete gluten free menu that was perfect for my wife. There is a lovely lounge area if you just want to sit and read or chat for a bit. As for location, well it would be hard to imagine anywhere better. We really loved our stay here.

The parking is a bit of a pain due to a narrow entrance. If you have a smaller car that will help, however, we did see several Mercs and a Range Rover parked, so it just depends how good your width judgement is. That is our only negative.

Our second stay and it did not disappoint. Ideal location in the centre of Grassington and very short walking distance to Linton Falls. The building, garden and rooms are beautiful. Quaint and very well maintained. Decor, comfort and cleanliness spot on. Shower gel, shampoo and hand soap provided in the bathroom. Along with tea/coffee/choc making facility, you are also gifted some good quality biscuits. Love the added touch of the mini bottles of Prosecco. The house has a lovely lounge with an honesty bar. We didn't make use of the lounge, but took our night caps to bed. Plenty to choose from at breakfast and all cooked to perfection. I asked for a small portion of the full Yorkshire breakfast as I remembered that on our first stay, there was a lot. A lovely friendly welcome on arrival and a fond farewell. We will definitely be back. Added bonus for us was the private car park.

Not that we didn't like room No.1 this time, but we preferred room No.3 that we stayed in back in May this year.

As we turned the corner this beautiful building was in front of us it was stunning when we drove through the gardens to the car park they were immaculately presented all beautiful. We were welcomed at the door by Stephen who was so full of knowledge about the house and the area, the fabulous tartan carpets in the downstairs rooms gave you the warmth as soon as you walked in. The lounge was spectacular just how to make people feel welcome so homely and comfortable. Our room was perfect so comfortable and everything there you could possibly need 10/10 for our bedroom. Must not forget breakfast it was fantastic it tasted amazing perfect poached eggs my favourite and excellent bacon and sausage, the service was quick, and the hosts were very friendly they put themselves out to please everyone and they did!! So a great big massive thank you from us both we will go back and take friends with us .

There was nothing we didn’t like we are still talking and telling are neighbours about our great experiences in your hotel

First of all, great to have a car park. The hotel itself is quaint yet stunning inside and out. Outside/garden area is well kept and beautiful. Entrance and welcome was spot on. The room was lovely. Well decorated, tidy, spotless, well equipped with a beautiful view of the garden. The mini bottles of Prosecco was a lovely surprise, especially as we were there to celebrate my 60th birthday. Bathroom light and bright, clean and beautiful. Kettle with tea/coffee/choc selection, milk and delicious biscuits. Bottles of water were very much appreciated too. TV in a great position, no crook in the neck in order to watch. Bed super comfy with lovely white bedding. The premises has a very cosy snug room with an honesty bar, which is a great thought. Two Dining room areas to accommodate the occupants of the hotel. Plenty of choice on the menu and cereals to help yourself to. Full Yorkshire breakfast was amazing, yet too much, should have requested a small portion. Proprietors/staff were very friendly and helpful. Round up: can't wait to go back.

Nothing to dislike.

Beautiful appointed country house tucked away but only a few paces from the centre of the equally charming village of Grassington, made more famous recently with the television revival of the All Creatures Great and Small. Excellent choices for breakfast, well thought through small snacks and goodies available in room or in common areas. Great spot for touring the Dales

The room we stayed in was a little tight in terms of available space. A minor criticism more than compensated for by the very comfortable lounge available to all.

Location is great, right in the heart of the village, but set back enough to enjoy some quiet. The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful. We were met quickly by the host to see us to our room and check we were happy with the room booked. Pleasant view, good size room and bathroom and plenty of teas and coffee and biscuits, plus complimentary mini bottles of Prosecco in our room. We were surprised to have bathrobes too, which was lovely. Breakfast was exceptional and a good menu choice. We were served quickly by a very pleasant young chap who looked after us whilst we enjoyed a good hearty breakfast! The overall feel of the accommodation is very homely and a sense of pride is visible from how this house is run. Points to note, 3 main pubs, food at The Devonshire was lovely, pre book for an evening meal. The Indian as you come out of the lane is great for dine in, but cash only and no license, you can take your own. 1 ATM at the village NISA, if you need cash probably best to take some as it was faulty when we visited, cashback at the NISA is the other option. Try the ice cream as you come out the the lane too, it's delicious! Will be back, thanks!

Nothing not to like!

The cottage was really lovely, comfortable and clean. The host was very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was included and was excellent, a good way to start the day. In a great location! So many nice little shops and cafes/traditional pubs a stones throw away

We couldn’t fault our stay! We recommend it! The only thing we found was that the local shop around the corner closed early, so if you stay in the centre of Grassington make sure to stock up if you want any extras for your room early

Wonderful location in the centre of Grassington ( fictional village for All Creatures Great and Small) and they were filming whilst we were there. Lovely old property nicely refurbished, rooms comfortable although not large . Beautiful garden and on site parking although don't bring a very large SUV. Superb breakfast and several places to eat withing a few yards of the property ( the Indian was surprisingly good for a change ! ). Owners extraordinarily helpful and lots of nice touches in the house. Would not hesitate to go back.
