Pool, sauna, jacuzzi was really nice only fault was you have to go to the back of the Manor across the road to get to it .beautiful location , room was clean comfy bed we didn't eat at the Manor we walked a 30 min walk down a lovely bridal path to a really nice chip shop was much cheaper than dining at the Manor.

Not enough staff on the bar which made it very slow the young girl working the bar did her best so credit to her , tables in the bar area are not cleaned quick enough , we did have breakfast buffet which was really nice help yourself to what ever you like. The Manor is a lovely place but overall a bit pricey for what you get.

Room was very comfortable and spacious . Dinner was expensive for a meal that was nothing out of the ordinary ! Breakfast was like all other hotels .you cant do much wrong with bacon and eggs !

Coffee machine broke down every morning .once you can put up with but not every day , sort it out . people expect their morning drinks . Staff could not sort out the problems . Parking was a problem . Hard to pull suitcases over a gravel drive. As two disabled guests not enough allocated spaces near front of hotel .The front of the hotel should be more for disabled ,not for large party busses which took up a lot of space, they could have easily have parked around the side of hotel .

Like the location and food good

Unfortunately onSunday morning the breakfast service was totally over run. There were too few staff to cope with the number of guests so despite the staff working hard the tables were left messy, the food was not up to the standard we have had the other times we have stayed. In particular the fruit salad was just grapefruit and prunes.. vert disappointing. Might I suggest that when the hotel is full / busy guests are asked to book a 45 min slot the afternoon before so the number of staff can be employed to maintain standards of care, cleanliness and hygiene.

The cleaners and the staff at the restaurant were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was OK, could do with a bit more vegetarian options. Had a walk at the conservation area with the children, and they enjoyed it. Mushroom risotto was nice. Rooms were clean and the Manor and grounds is beautiful. Loved the interconnecting room.

Had ordered a fruit basket for the children to snack on as soon as we've arrived. I was under the impression that it would be ready in the room upon checking in. However, we didn't get it until 9 PM. The receptionist was quite rude when I asked for the fruit basket at 7PM. He asked if we had proof that we ordered it, rather than checking it in the system himself. And we received the fruit basket, I was presented with a fruit bowl instead of a fruit basket with a selection of only apples, strawberries, and grapes. Not at all like what was pictured on the website. No apologies from the receptionist at all. Not many choices for dinner.

Bar facilities were poor for a Hotel, on returning to the Hotel at 10.45pm on a Saturday evening we went to the Bar for a night cap drink and were told it was closed!, When asked what was closing time we were told 11pm so why were they closing early. They did sort of serve us but most of the spirits had been put away and one member of our party was unable to get a drink. My expectation of a Hotel is that we should be able to have an alcoholic drink at anytime as long as we were resident. We understood that the bar was exposed and spirits had to be made secure but perhaps some form of security grills or use one of the many smaller rooms as a "Snug Type of Bar " which could be secured easily.

Comfortable hotel in a quiet suburb on the outskirts of Southampton, with substantial grounds. A good destination to spend a pre-cruise evening. Room was spacious, clean & appointed to a good standard. Self service breakfast was ok - neither outstanding nor poor. Staff were friendly.

We stayed on an evening when the hotel was completely full with a large wedding party. The party didn't disturb us in any way, but it meant that the restaurant was fully booked & we had to dine elsewhere. Our own fault, we should have reserved a table earlier! As it happens, there is an excellent gastro-pub just around the corner. Parking near the reception was also impossible. As my wife is disabled & no disabled spaces were available, that meant dropping her off, unloading the car & then parking over 100 metres away.

Nice hotel and nice grounds, close to Southampton, but not too close. We were only staying overnight and leaving early in the morning, so we didn't have time to use all of the facilities. We paid for a standard double, which was exactly that, so we're happy with what we got, which was value for money. The bar area was lovely, too, and we always appreciate free parking right in front of the hotel, which was very convenient.

The only thing we were less impressed with was the limited selection of food at the restaurant and bar.

I arrived 15 minutes before food was due to be stopped, but reception urged me to go and eat then check in after and they kept my bags whilst I did this - the staff in the bar and restaurant were also very keen to get me some food and keep me happy, which was very much appreciated after a 6 and a half hour drive! Room was spacious. Communal areas were nice. Breakfast was decent. Outside of the venue was nice too. sadly I didn’t get time to check out the spa facilities.

Pay at property, but payment was taken before I even arrived (what if I’d wanted to pay on a different card?), but that’s all!

Receptionist was super friendly both at check in and check out. Spacious rooms comfy bed and lovely hot shower in the morning with great water pressure. Decent selection of drinks and meals available in the dining room. Great location only 5 miles from Southampton airport for our early morning flight 20 pounds for a taxi. As our flight was early we had no time for breakfast but it smelt good as we walked past the dining room. Would definitely stay again.

Lots of stairs and no lifts so you need to travel light. Not with 50kgs of luggage.

Imposing building set in a parkland setting. Our room was very comfortable but, despite requesting a ground floor room because I knew I'd be carrying a lot of stuff back and forth, our room turned out to be on the second floor about as far from reception as it could have been. There's loads of car parking, but most places seemed to be constantly full, meaning we had to use the more remote, overflow car park. Not ideal when carrying loads of stuff in and out.

The hotel is quite large but the capacity to deliver breakfast was rather limited. For example, there was just one coffee making machine with a long queue and we were not offered any alternative. On our second day, some breakfast items ran out and were not replenished before we left.
