An older style property so not one of these ultra modern characterless places. It is ideally situated as you enter the main street in Street so a short walk takes you to some of the eateries. Unfortunately evening meals had been suspended the few nights we were there due to work being done so I can’t comment on the meals. Breakfasts were good though. Service was lovely. Bedroom was slick and span, very clean and we were able to control the temperature. Our room was above the bar area so we could hear the murmur of voices but to be honest it didn’t bother us, and didn’t stop us from falling asleep.

There wasn’t anything not to like, although like I said, it is a mature pub/ b and b and could do with the odd spruce up here and there and this is reflected in the price but we were very comfortable.

What a lovely building in the heart of Street! We had a relaxing room facing the main road which was mainly quiet. The grape vine covered patio leading from the bar to have morning coffee and evening drinks was a bonus. If using Booking,com and you have mobility problems, please enquire direct with the property about a room with a walk in shower. My booking showed a picture of a walk-in shower for my room but it actually had a bath with a shower which would have been very difficult for me to use as it was quite high to climb into and, with no rails to help with balance. A massive thank you to the staff who kindly sorted me out with another room - I was so grateful and lucky they had availability). Breakfast was lovely. I felt I had transported back in time to the 70's where you had a small menu and chose what items you wanted from it. It included fried bread and fritters which you rarely see anymore! Evening meal was lovely too. Bonus was the hotel being dog friendly and that our small dog was able to accompany us in the dining room. Plently of parking. I would have liked to have stayed longer!

Extra pillows would have been nice, but just being picky. The TV reception was poor, and hardly picked up any channels, but it was late so we did not bother complaining. May have been an issue if we were staying longer.

What a lovely cosy B&B. Me and my partner stayed here for 1 night after visiting cheddar gorge. We also came here with our 2 jack Russell's diesel and roko. Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable!! Staff were so friendly and ella/Ellie (sorry couldn't remember your name) behind bar was so kind after we told her about our car trouble. Thank you! If we are ever in need of a place to stay again in the area we will be back! So doggy friendly which we loved!! And the breakfast was amazing!!! Thank you again for a pleasant stay.

That we didn't stay longer

We were warmly welcomed, with a smile. This set the tone for an excellent overnight stay at Mullions 51. Every member of staff was friendly, cheerful and helpful. Our room was available a little bit earlier, so that was a bonus. It was comfortable and immaculately clean, with a super shower and plenty of hot water. Breakfast was delicious and generous. Parking is possible on site. Mullions 51 is a traditional hotel/B&B which offers excellent value for money. We would certainly return and stay here again, when we are next in the area.

We were very happy and comfortable.

Our little group occupied two rooms for two nights. We were comfortable. The location is very good with the Clarks outlet shopping centre nearby as well as other facilities of Street. The delights of Glastonbury are nearby. Wells and the Levels are probably no more than a twenty minute drive away. Mullions 51 is a lovely friendly place which we all like very much. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast is made to order and all was excellent. We had one evening meal and all was good. We found Mullions 51 to be good value for money.

It's always a pleasure to stay at Mullions. Carlos and his staff are great hosts, accommodating and flexible, when needs be. The breakfasts are great too and dinners have a great reputation, though I haven't had a chance to try them yet.

The only downside was sound from the next room's late-night and early morning TV viewing coming through the walls from room 11 to room 10, making it hard to sleep. It was the last day in the room so there wasn't time to raise it as an issue.

Nice big room, comfy bed, very clean, great breakfast, friendly staff. They gave is a ground floor room as our dog had trouble getting up the steep stairs, he also got a sausage as a treat when we were having breakfast. He enjoyed the stay as much as we did! The evening meals in the restaurant were very good too, nice wine available at a reasonable price.

There wasn't anything we disliked. Netflix/Sky/ on demand TV in rooms would be a nice touch as freeview isn't great.

The rooms we booked were very clean and had all the basics required. The breakfast was great. We decided to eat in the restaurant before we went out on Saturday night and the food was delicious. There was a good variety, the prices were very fair, and the service was great - this is particularly relevant to the fact that I have a nut allergy. The staff checked up on the food I was planning to order and informed me where there was an issue. Because we had to go out at a particular time, the staff were also happy for us all to pre-order our meals since the restaurant only opened at 6 and we were going out at 7.15 pm. They were very pleasant and accommodating throughout out stay.

The only small comment I would make on our room was that there was only a mirror in the bathroom, which makes it difficult if two people are trying to get ready to go out and one is using the bathroom. In the other two rooms we booked, there was a mirror in both the bathroom and the bedroom area. Also, if I had known that there were three floors of rooms I would have particularly requested a ground floor room as my friend has difficulty walking up stairs. She managed but it would have been easier on her if I had been aware there were more than two floors. I may have missed this in the property description, so that may have been my error not seeing it and therefore not requesting a lower floor room but we will definitely book to stay here again so I will remember next time.

Good parking, friendly staff, comfortable bed in a very clean spacious room. Good sized washroom with a lovely hot shower. Excellent coffee & breakfast service was fast & efficient, staff were courteous & very pleasant.

If I’d realised the room was up two flights of stairs, I wouldn’t have booked it. It would be nice if the needs of disabled people weren’t an afterthought on booking sites. The USB points in the bedroom didn’t work, tho staff said they could have provided me with a plug if I’d asked. The TV remote needed new batteries, I had to plug the kettle in under a table & there was a lot of single use plastic items in the room, coffee sachets, portions of milk, shampoo & shower gel, which really shouldn’t still be in use given the damage they do to the environment.

The Mullion has its own charm and is very much a Pub with rooms. The staff are friendly and helpful and the location is very good to investigate the local area. The food (breakfast & dinner) is well cooked and plentiful and also good value for money. The room (a single) was surprisingly roomy with a larger single bed and the bathroom was modern and clean.

Overall the stay was comfy and enjoyable but elements of the Mullion need some TLC and a good freshen up. Limited space in the Bar area can be an issue when they are busy.
