I have to say, this was one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in for some time. The young lady that met me when I arrived was friendly, really smiley and couldn't be more helpful. The room was a good size, and the bedding/duvet was a really good quality. Wifi worked well as well. The food was a really good standard (I can highly recommend the Croque Monsieur) and I was really please to find that the breakfast matched in it's quality. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if ever in the region.

There wasn't much I would moan about, I guess the fact that there was parking advertised, but none on site, I had to take my chances parking around the green. The only other thing (and they couldn't do much about this) but I was expecting the pub to be just off the main A-road, but actually it was probably half an hour or more...... but that said, it was worth the drive.

Good location not too far from Snetterton circuit; tasty breakfast enough to keep me going until lunch, filter coffee that ACTUALLY tasted like coffee; roomy bedroom and bathroom, big bed; wide range of bar snacks/meals, good mix of seating options in bar and outside; historic pub but with tastefully modernised interior, pleasant spot opposite the village green, rural without being too remote...

Some people with mobility issues may struggle with steepish stairs and door latch/lock from bar area to bedrooms, and taller people with low beam over doorway - it is a very old pub so to be expected - I banged my forehead once but I'm a big lummox...

The staff were very friendly and helpful on arrival showing the room and explaining the fact that there was no breakfast facility due to maintenance work but stated that they had arrangement to sort this out with a local cafe, which was really well organised and the food was delicious. The room was great with some decent provisions and loved the medieval feel to the room with the wooden beams but also the building. The bed was very comfortable made for a good nights stay. The process of a booking a table in the Restaurant was straightforward doing it online and the service was very efficient and friendly from staff. The food when it arrived was delicious and scrumptious cooked to a very decent high standard. The location was also great in the country making it very tranquil and relaxed and the medieval feel to the village made the stay more enjoyable and appealing.

Breakfast was excellent, locally sourced produce. well presented with a good choice. Cereal and toast was also readily available. Good choice of drinks. We also had lunch which, as breakfast was well presented and very tasty, we felt it was good value for money. Situated in a quiet village location, room was spotlessly clean and well stocked. Staff were superb throughout our stay, nothing was too much trouble for them

The room that we were allocated was at the rear of the hotel, it was spotlessly clean but was over the kitchen area. Whilst cooking, the kitchen staff had the extractor fan turned on which was quite noisy and situated outside the rear window of the room. The fan was turned off once cooking was completed so overnight it was perfectly quiet however, it was turned on at 07:15 for breakfast.

Very filling delicious cooked breakfast. Accommodation all you needed including tea facilities. Very countryside location, good for local walks. Excellent location to travel to a lot of attractions within about 1 hour. All staff friendly and welcoming. Had meals in pub in evening all delicious but Sunday roast was outstanding. Good selection of beers and wines. Staff always remembered where you went the day before and asked about your opinion. Special thanks to lilies and Emily.

It's best to have a car as public transport is rare.

The decor in the room and associated circulation areas was very tasteful, managing to maintain the aging character of the building. The bar and eating areas in the pub were very tidy - certainly no spit and sawdust!

The breakfast, although very tasty was a little sparce. One small piece of bacon was symptomatic of the quantity. For the price, I would expect to see two of everything, based on previous B&Bs on Booking.com. Free parking in the vicinity is rather tight so would recommend finding somewhere where there is no danger of being hit by one of a number of careless (and very speedy) local motorists that I encountered whilst driving in the locality, one of which who pulled out in front of me with out looking! I hope my brakes work as well next time!

Location was good. Friday evening was a busy night in the pub and that generated some noise in the room. we felt that the room could have been reconfigured so as to improve how it worked and increase the comfort.

Problem with no bedside table on one side of the bed. The main room lights were too bright to use during the night and in the darkness there was more likelihood of a trip and fall.

This was my third time staying. The staff are so helpful it seems like family. The food is excellent, had several meals over my 3 days staying. Each morning I had breakfast, even one morning the Manger/owner turned up to cook my breakfast and I was the only one in for breakfast. The service is better than most hotels. All staff are so professional and can not help you enough.

The rooms are very clean and homely. I wanted to take the shower home.....

I really can’t wait this lovely hotel highly enough. We arrived quite late and the young lady made it so easy for us to check in. We went down for dinner and the meal was absolutely excellent. Five stars definitely the room was enormous. Everything was exceptionally clean and of a very high standard. I would definitely recommend and go back to this hotel and it is very rare that I say this.

The staff were really friendly and the food and service were excellent. The shower was really good too as is the room for comfort.

If you want an early night you won’t get it. The rooms we had are above the outside tables, so windows need to be closed to reduce the noise and smoke. The fan in the men’s toilet downstairs can be left running and it’s really loud in one of the rooms. That said once the pub is closed it’s very quiet.
