Excellent well set out breakfast with a wide range of quality fruit, cereals and breads. Particularly attractive were the individual pots of strawberries, raspberries and blueberries kept cool and fresh in a fridge. The room and en suite were spacious and freshly and tastefully decorated. The bed-linen was of very high quality, home-laundered, smooth and soft.

An impersonal welcome. Entry and finding our room was not difficult but the system, while convenient obviously for the owners, was impersonal and could even be a security risk.

The room is huge, beautiful, well decorated and comfortable. Comfortable beds. Good sitting area for relax. Kettle, Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, cookies inside the room. Very good shower with strong water pressure, the best shower we had during our 15 days vacation in Scotland. Easy check-in & check-out. Friendly staff. The area is queit and good for sleep. Good breakfast.

The breakfast room is very small, overpacked with 5 tables for 10 guests. No staff service inside the breakfast room, that means nobody fill up anything when empty. The guest has to look for the lady who duty for the breakfast room to fill up some coffee. The service for breakfast could be better. Small parking in front of the house, quite difficult to park.

It was our last night on our NC500 bike packing trip and it was a lovely way to end this adventure. The nicest hotel on our NC500 path and the only room that was actually warm and where we managed to dry our clothes for the next morning. The room was lovely, very spacious and clean, cosy, well equipped and nicely furnished. The check in was very easy, so was the contact with the hosts. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was wonderful. We were allowed to store our bikes in the room. The breakfast was nice. There is a restaurant and a Lidl store right next to the hotel. We definitely recommend this place.

I really liked the consistency of the interior design. The continental breakfast had many options. It's in an old townhouse with the original stooky ruifs and suchlike but the bathrooms are new. It felt really private, which my wife and I enjoyed. It was like being in a well appointed West End of Glasgow sitting room but with lots of privacy. I really enjoyed it and I can see the focus that the proprietor has had in achieving this.

My wife had issues with the shower (mostly confusion tho). A handle on the wardrobe was loose so we couldn't use that. Very minor tho. Do go here. It's really nice.

Room is small, but plenty big enough for the one night stay we had. Bathroom was very good, and the sower over the bath was lovely and spacious, and very clean. Continental breakfast had plenty of food options, presented beautifully, and lovely fresh fruit available too. We certainly did not go hungry. Host was very welcoming, and happy o assist how ever she could to make our stay as comfy as possible.

The room was too hot to be comfortable at night. A fan in the room would have been greatly appreciated. Also, given that we stayed in mid summer, why was there a doona on the bed - it was too hot to sleep with the doona, and there was no top sheet under the doona to allow you to kick the doona off and just have the sheet over you.

the breakfast was fantastic and set up to self serve. There was an excellent choice of cereals, pastries, muffins and toast to fill you up for the day ahead. a personal favourite were the bottles of Tropicana which meant you could take this away to finish if need be and save waste. The bedroom sheets were incredibly soft and the room was immaculate. Check in was very easy as was check out. It was a fantastic stay.

The walls are pretty thin but this is down to the building and by no means the owners. Just meant that you could hear others conversations quite loudly.

No one to meet and greet just a postcard registration and key left. Breakfast was continental and again just one quick hello from a lady who didn’t introduce herself just told us where breakfast was. Poor coffee and generally felt just a bit flat due to the lack of contact.

Very clean and comfortable room. Easy to find and park at. Good breakfast. Unusual in that we arrived with the key laid out in the hall, and the breakfast was left outside the door in the morning and we never even saw the host, but I guess that's how Covid is addressed in some places.

The instructions about breakfast arrangements were stuck on a plain looking, unassuming notice on the wall in the corner of the room. I didn't even see it until I had opened the door to go to the dining room in the morning and saw the breakfast tray outside the room, and brought it in to put on the dresser where the notice was. The wardrobe handle was missing and so we couldn't open it; not a big issue as we were only staying one night and all our stuff could be hung elsewhere, but surprised no-one else had noticed. And as noted there was no host to mention it to.

Room was quiet and very comfortable. I got three nights great sleep which is just what I needed. The self service breakfast set up was very good. I saw the staff briefly each morning to check everything was ok, which was just enough.

Nothing at all. A great experience and I’d happily stay there again.

Contactless check in and host free breakfast dining. Excellent & high quality continental breakfast I have ever had. Excellent value for money and with in easy walking distance to some great local places to eat (we had a great meal in Platform 1864, on Station road at the train station). Good parking availability outside the property. Excellent value for money
