Everything was excellent. The friendly welcome given on arrival extended throughout our stay from all members of staff. Food exceptional, all scratch cooked with a good variety on the menu. Atmosphere very inviting. Lovely interior everywhere, beautiful log beams, open wood fires, although they were not lit whilst we were there, but I could imagine what a lovely glow and heat they would have given. Very friendly locals to talk with. My partner and I would stay here again if we visit the area again. We did not have to pay for WiFi.
The weather, but nobody has control over this. I would not change a thing.

The Owner and all the staff were excellent, they couldn't seem to do enough for us, from booking in to sitting down for a excellent meal, having a good nights sleep and then chatting and being given really good advice when we left they made our overnight stay memorable. We decided that we would eat at the pub because we had seen the superb reviews about the food and it did not disappoint, highly recommended
Unfortunately we felt that the place needs some TLC but for the price point it wasn't that bad. We did make the mistake of turning up at 4pm thinking that the pub would be open, however, it's wasn't, our fault but be warned IT DOESN'T OPEN UNTIL 5PM

We booked to stay at The Bay Horse Country Inn after reading other peoples' reviews and we were so glad we did. We received a warm welcome from Chris and Bev and everyone who works there was friendly and helpful. The pub is warm and cosy. We ate in the pub every evening and Bev's food is delicious and plentiful. Good value for money too. There are lots of historical sites in the area and plenty of other things to do. The village itself is charming and peaceful. We would love to go back there.

Great atmosphere and friendly locals in the busy pub (busiest Fridays and Saturdays, I understand). Separate quieter restaurant area, food entirely satisfactory. Full English breakfast was decent value (£10). Surprisingly, no pub noise was audible in the bedroom (though we were warned that an extractor fan from the kitchen would operate until 21:00). Pub has own car park at rear, but parking in the village should never be a problem. Location is ideal for an overnight stop if travelling the length of the country.
Nothing to complain about at all.

The food was excellent, I was really pleasantly surprised at the quality of the cooking and the meals, I ate 3 courses at dinner, which I don't often do as I enjoyed it so much. The room was clean and comfortable and I enjoyed a few beers in the traditional old style Yorkshire country pub, it reminded me of the old Woolpack in Emmerdale years ago! The owner is a really likeable guy, we only had a few short interactions but he was really helpful and friendly.
Nothing.

The food was very good.Everything was clean and I would be happy to stay again. It is a tradition village pub used by locals. I have said it isn't a romantic destination because it has no bells and whistles in terms of roll top baths and four poster beds. If you ant a good value tardtioal pub that does really good food at reasonabley prices this is the place for you. It is also exceptionally quiet. There is no traffic noise at all.
If I was being really picky an earlier check in would have been nice.

Accomodation is very comfortable and clean in an 18th century creaky building. The hosts and staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is more than adequate and sets you up for the rest of the day. Homemade food with a variety of choice is very good whether dining in the atmospheric bar areas or in the separate dining room. It was our second stay at the Bay Horse and we will undoubtedly be back.
We were happy with everything.

Homely feel, nipping clean. Friendly staff. Missed breakfast unfortunately, probably due to the extremely comfy bed, and we had a heavy night at a local farmers party but I’ve eaten here before and the food was top notch. I will definitely stay again and hopefully not miss any food next time. I no like missing food. Especially nice food like the Bay Horse serves. Thanks L & H
There was nothing that we didn’t like. Everything was great and we’re looking forward to going back.

Dinner was super delicious!!!!!!! My husband had steak pie and I had belly of pork, both served with veg, potatoes, chips. Perfectly cooked and steaming hot. Breakfast was a good ol English. All very good and great value for money. Efficient and friendly service.
It's an old traditional village pub building, so 5* chrome & glass impeccability isn't possible, but it's maxing out its village charm and modernising as much as possible. Comfortable and clean with squeaky floorboards etc, which just adds to the charm. We loved it but if you want high modernity, it won't appeal. It was busy, which isn't a surprise as it's well worth a visit. We were en route to Scotland and would definitely go there again.

A traditional country pub offering a warm welcome. The room was warm and comfortable. The bathroom had a shower and bath. There was a wide range of delicious food available. The breakfast included in the price, was plentiful giving excellent t value for money.
The showered was very hot and we were unable to adjust it down, but the ability to have a bath made this less of a problem
