Very clean room and excellent housekeeping during our five night stay . Although we didn’t book breakfast the two meals we had on there were very good .. The pub seemed to manage the accommodation side very well alongside a busy pub and restaurant business

Our room ( room8 ) was the end room On the corridor and every morning a lot of noise was coming into the room as the restaurant extractor fan was switched on around 7am . Clearly rooms 7 & 8 would both be affected by the noise . I didn’t ask for a room move as my wife and I were leaving most mornings early on .

Peaceful Location. Friendly staff and good evening meals. I think the buffet/continental breakfast could use more variety.

Unfortunately the property had an issue with the drains, and we had difficulty in using ous shower as the water kept filling up in the trough. We had to turn off the shower multiple times to avoid flooding the bathroom. It didn't spoil our stay. The drains were being serviced on the day we checked out.

Staff were very pleasant with good service and food good. Lovely pub and lots of seating areas outside and inside. Good parking facilities and well situated to where we wanted to go such as Chartwell, Sevenoaks and Tudeley and relations.

Breakfast. Could have done with cereals, Weetabix, porridge or museli not just cooked although there was fruit compote with yoghurt. Toast was far too thick. The bath was slippy and we mentioned this and they were going to speak to Management. We put a towel in while having a shower which helped. There also needed a handle on the wall to hold on to. Soap dish by wash basin was needed. I borrowed one from tea making tray but no replacement to go with my cup was given. If soap was just put on the wood would have been a right mess.

We enjoyed the breakfast and that we could choose the items cooked. The standard of cooking and presentation was very good.

As we were staying for 6 nights it would have been nice to have had a different choice on a couple of evenings. A nonslip mat in the showers would be good for people of a certain age!

The food was of a high standard and the place was buzzing on a Saturday night. It is dog friendly which is always a nice extra as we are dog lovers and the staff were efficient.

It was impossible to turn the heat down in our room so we had to leave windows open. The breakfast menu did not state that the avocado would be dressed with chilli flakes. It should not be assumed that everyone is keen on chilli - especially so if one is allergic to it.

Breakfast was delicious both days and the steak I had was delicious as well w/ the peppercorn sauce I like the local pints of Bitter available (Harvey’s) friendly staff some more than others Phoebe and Sarah were great. And Charlotte and Libby were great as well.

Room 2 was a little noisy as linen is stacked and taken out the back and linen company or removal staff was woke us up both days. Some Staff need to be aware that international travellers will Tip well when they go that extra mile w/ there service even though I’m English I tip after living in Canada for years.

- Very nice place to stay with a broad offer to eat & drink; very spacy room with good equipment; quality of food is very good - Very friendly staff with an efficient service

Only 2 elements to improve: - Cleaning of the rooms need to improve: sheets were clean and also bathroom, but overall too superficial; a lot of dust in the room itself (and eg an ear-stick on the window for 3 days) - Our heating in the bath room could not be turned out (and it was +30° outside)... and no action was taken after noticing it to the reception

Very accommodating and friendly staff. Meals excellent. Excellent location.

For the money we paid for the accommodation the standard didn't meet our expectations. There was no full length mirror. Dusty wooden blinds in bathroom and dusty plastic plants in bedroom. There was a residential spider next to the wash hand basin. There was no soap dish for the soap which meant laying the soap on the wooden surface of the basin stand and no tissues.

Lovely welcome on arrival and check-in. Room was lovely, spotlessly clean. Very comfortable bed. Great atmosphere in the pub and restarant plenty of staff available and each committed to their job, smiles and nothing too much trouble! Food was fantastic, we had fish and chips which was piping hot just how we like it best we've had for a long time. Breakfast was equally as good. The lovely young man working on the bar was super helpful in getting us taxi, which was difficult as was a BH weekend, but he did it! Would definitely recommend.

Nothing!
