Outside - the property was attractively laid out with large areas for sitting, eating and relaxing, front and rear. There were heaters, blankets and comfortable seating, flowers and there was ample parking. Inside - very large, with several large, well furnished eating rooms, and also areas for sitting and perching. A large bar. Well decorated with many paintings and interesting furnishings. Quiet location in the country but near a small supermarket. Easy access to Tonbridge and Sevenoaks.

Nothing wrong with the property. The breakfast option had not been explained and from the menu it seemed as if a cooked breakfast had to be paid for, when it was included. Excellent fish and chips. The quality of the food seemed to suffer when it was very busy. The service was very good and quick. The servers and staff were friendly and attentive.

Breakfast was good quality all around and the coffee was delicious. We found the music a bit annoying. The decor of the dining room and the pub is really attractive and sets a very nice ambiance both at dinner - which was really delicious - and again at breakfast with the sunlight streaming in across the outdoor seating area. It's beautifully designed. We stayed overnight and our room was lovely, beautifully presented and spacious. The bed and bedding were so comfortable. I loved the huge bath.

Although the inn was quite empty, the guests could have been spread out a bit more across the accommodation.

Very clean and well kept. Staff generally very pleasant and made lots of fuss over our dog.

Youngs Breweries seem intent on extracting money for everything. For example adding 12.5% 'discretionary' charge to bills, although on menu, in very small writing it says this is on Sundays. Also, the room refreshments are chargeable. Secondly, the rooms are upstairs which does not suit all dogs and the fire escape (available to take your dog out early) is metal mesh, which our dog hated.

The room was very pleasant with the little things that made the stay more enjoyable - plenty of towels, shower gel etc. plus a TV that worked which is a novelty in a hotel these days, though I don't understand why they never have the extra channels I have at home. I had very little dinner as was not hungry but it was fine. Staff very friendly and helpful.

They do seem to have a problem with checking out. I had the same problem last year and was late for an appointment. This year it took what seemed like an age and then they couldn't give me a proper bill, only credit card receipts. They have now sent me a bill. It's just a slight annoyance as I wanted to get to my next appointment a good quarter of an hour early and didn't manage it.

Staff great, friendly and helpful, pub lovely, room fine, loved the pictures on the walls in the pub, nice cosy areas in it. Beds really comfortable, and showers work really well. Lovely to have the snack options in the room, though we didn't partake. All in all, a pleasant stay.

We didn't say excellent because: we found the pillows a bit hard, the water was slow to drain away in the shower, we meant to report that but we forgot! The quiz night was on an App, which reduced the opportunity to fully enjoy it without taking part in it. The breakfast was good, though I felt the veggie sausages were floury and tasteless. None of these mean we wouldn't stay again though.

On arrival, we found free almond biscuits in a small glass jar. With that, we sat on the sofa in our spacious bedroom. We took a moment to appreciate its beams and serenity. From there, we counted three rows of pillows on our king size bed. Three rows of pillows and a bolster. Imagine that.

The flush of our toilet was weak and brought more anxiety (and water) than necessary to wave goodbye to humble deposits. My partner is also asking me to write a note about her pudding. She’s an apple crumble expert. She got confused by the floury texture of her crumble and its temperature: cold at the front and hot at the back. Maybe no pudding would have been good enough to follow the main meal she enjoyed so much.

Room warm, bed very comfortable. Food quality first class, well presented and good value for money. Staff friendly, helpful and efficient, so much so that with only a few staff apprarently on duty with a pretty full restaurant, the serrvice still managed to be prompt and engaging. Beer well kept. Easy parking. Room quiet despite being road facing. Nice outside (heated) patio. Highly recommended. We will undoubtedly return.

Only a couple of minor things, The comfy room was a little too "snug" for my taste, next time we will get the bigger option. Hot water took an extraordinary long time to come through in both basin and shower

Lovely room which was spacious and comfortable with modern decor; it also had a small sofa with coffee table creating an area to sit and relax. Quality fittings and furniture giving a high-end feel. Plenty of parking, with access to the rooms through the bar or via a rear staircase. Handy shop nearby on the A46. Great food too - there were plenty of customers so clearly popular with local people.

If you're hoping to take a walk, there's nothing much of interest nearby that I saw...and watch out for cars as there's no path on Three Elms Lane! You'd need to drive or take a taxi if you want to go into Tonbridge, but to be fair, the pub has all you need!

Clean. Recently refurbished to a very high standard. Comfortable bed. Huge bathroom.

Poor communication re my request. No response to my booking.com question or from the hotel when I left the same message when registering personal details 24hr before our stay and no response to answer phone message when I finally got through to voicemail. Phoned hotel 7 times over the weekend but phone line cut off without an option to leave a message apart from my last attempt.

The bedroom was beautifully decorated and furnished, the bed was superb and very comfortable. the bathroom was also superb, big bath (which i did not use!) and the shower was very clean and powerful water pressure, food, both Dinner and Breakfast were fabulous, a great range of beers and wines were on offer too. parking is private and plentiful. the staff were very welcoming and very attentive.

noisy wagon at 06.00 hrs collecting empty bottles was not welcome and disturbed what was otherwise an excellent nights sleep.
