The location was perfect, just three miles from the event. The full breakfast was lovely. The room far exceeded our expectations. The staff were fantastic. We had been allocated a first floor room but it is fairly obvious I struggle to breath so we were immediately offered a ground floor room. The owner gave us help to find our event. The staff were, quite frankly, the nicest, most helpful people you could wish to meet. The room was very large with a lovely en suite, TV, free WiFi and more. The Lion is also excellent value for money. My sister and I cannot recommend The Lion too highly. We will definitely be staying again. Thank you to all the staff

There wasn't anything we didn't like.

The room was a good size, clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was good. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was excellent for our purpose (attending an event at the neighbouring Waddesdon Manor National Trust property). Free parking was welcome. Overall, good value for money.

The room (a double) had only one chair. Two would have been better. The bathroom could do with some renovation and the shower cubicle could usefully have had a shelf for soap/toilettries. An additional socket with a USB port near the desk would be an improvement. My partner, who has a very sensitive sense of smell, said the kitchen needed stronger ventilation to prevent cooking smells coming through into the dining area.

The location was great, lovely surroundings and beer garden, even though I didn't use as on business trip. Parking on site The room was lovely, spotlessly clean, the bed was so comfortable. Complimentary toiletries Breakfast was lovely , smoked salmon and eggs, full English and other options available. Staff were attentive and lovely.. definitely be returning when in the area for business or pleasure

Nothing at all. Was disappointed I didn't have the energy to head to the restaurant for evening meal , but so tired and bed so comfy I fell asleep!

The staff were friendly. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was a good size and the towels and toiletries were of good quality. The tea, coffee and milk supplies were generous and the breakfast in the morning was excellent, and served with great courtesy and a smile.

Checking in was a little nerve-wracking, because we arrived late in the evening and it took the staff a little while to find our booking, but it all worked out on the end. Being an oldish building, it was a little noisier in the room than expected, but once the pub closed it was quiet enough.

The breakfast was delicious- lots of choice and lots to eat. It kept us going for the day and then we had dinner in the restaurant in the evening which was equally delicious. Big portions and lots of choice for everyone. Great to have free parking. Lovely location which we knew well as we used to live in the area. A family run business but all the staff were excellent and had a nothing was too much trouble.

We have nothing to complain about at all !

Room was lovely. Nicely equipped, super clean. Spacious bathroom. Great wifi. Nice TV too (though I don't watch tv). Food was excellent. REALLY good. Staff super friendly and helpful.

I came in the backdoor from the carpark and it didn't give a great first impression. The carpets were worn and a bit dirty....but then again it was the back door from the carpark.

The room was great! Very spacious with a comfortable bed, a good size TV, a decent wardrobe and a comfy sofa. Bathroom area was also spacious. There was also a pleasant bar and a nice dining room where dinner and breakfast were taken - both were of good quality. A large carpark was also welcome. All staff were attentive and helpful.

Everything was absolutely fine!

Quiet and very clean. Excellent food. Very Attentive staff.

Would have liked a chair in the room as well as some information - meal times/menu - but realise the impracticality of these things in the current climate - Covid and cleaning. Loved the food but was only given the Specials menu and would have preferred a couple of items from the main menu. Would have liked a side plate for the toast which came on the breakfast plate - sorry but thats just me being picky.
