We thought the room was only semi-quiet but what with the road and the garden in use with customers and a wedding party there was never going to be a quiet option. The room was well blinded and curtained to keep out the worst of the heat. The duvet was suitable for the temperature and the bed comfortable. No noise from other guests in bedrooms although the hotel was probably full. Breakfast was fine. We enjoyed our walk around the Manor grounds but did not have time, due to another fixture, to go around the house.

Although the bathroom had been recently refurbished, the cleanliness of the shower was not up to speed - mouldy grouting at the lower end of the tiling and the secondary shower head was in need of a spring clean.

All of the meals were cooked to perfection, the staff were excellent and very friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The property was spotless. The shower over the bath was the most powerful I have ever had. The cost of food and drink was lower than I expected. The hotel sits at the bottom of Waddesdon Manor estate A National Trust property and probably the best house in the country.

Everything we have come to expect from an excellent hotel. Our suite was very comfortable and breakfast was delicious with local produce..... We also chose to dine with friends from the village in the restaurant on Friday night. The food was superb in every way with locally sourced ingredients where possible and seasoned well showing the chef team have a deft touch .... our meal was paired with an excellent pinot noir from the cellar at a very reasonable £27 per bottle.. I enjoyed a the chef's amuse bouche of tempora oyster, the confir duck waffles, a perfectly cooked "bleu" steak from the local beef herd, with the cheese board and homemade crackers to finish. We stayed here before Covid, and will be back again soon.

From the moment I arrived, I felt so looked after! The staff were friendly and helpful, room was lovely with nice touches. I was there on business and enjoyed sitting in the garden in the evening on my return. The bed was super comfy, shower was nice and hot and the breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented. I had forgotten to order toast as I was rushing the day before, but Angus realised this and still brought some toast with my breakfast before I asked!

Nothing! Honestly 10 out 10! Thank you !

Lovely listed building decorated in an appropriate scale. Friendly helpful staff. Electric vehicle charging point, which saved me a lot of hassle trying to find a charger on the way home.

Nowhere to sit in the evening and relax. The single room was in the attic and although nice as a small bedroom it wasnt somewhere I wanted to sit all evening. It turns out I could have sat in the coach house a separate building, which I assumed was part of the bar. Dinner was expensive £50 for one without alcohol

The hotel was perfectly situated for our visit to Waddesdon Manor and Ascott House. The breakfasts, and all other meals were of a high quality and served by a welcoming and accommodating staff. The en-suite bedroom was beautifully furnished with a good range of facilities. The manager, Adam, was very obliging and helpful; his delight in his work and his colleagues was obvious and well founded.

There was absolutely nothing which we could fault.

The room was clean, there was coffee machine with capsules which is not very common in hotels and we liked that a lot.

The fridge in the room was tiny it looked like a cosmetic fridge, we couldn't fit anything in it. Also if you don't have booking in their restaurant you can't take food for your room which was a bit disappointing, there are a few take away places nearby from which you can order.

Beautiful property with good size car park. Lovely beer garden. We stayed upstairs in the main property. Nicely decorated. The restaurant food is excellent but you need to book a table in advance as it was very busy. I would recommend this place and I expect I will stay again.

The lack of plug sockets! Also, Not the fault of the property but the noise from the main road isn’t good if you are a light sleeper.

The staff were really friendly. Great ambience in bar area , Sandie was really helpful when choosing our drinks. The food was good, we had dinner and breakfast. The decor really compliments the hotel buildings. A nice outside garden to enjoy drinks if the weather allows!
