Friendly and great communication about arrival and even checked on me when I hadn’t arrived as expected. Pleasantly surprised with my single room with a small double bed. Everything about it was well thought out, right down to usb sockets beside the bed and a touch lamp. Absolutely amazing breakfasts! Good location only a short walk downhill to the harbour. A lovely homely hotel with great owners and staff. I will definitely use again and recommend.

It’s probably not ideal for people with mobility problems as there are stairs and coming back is uphill. For me it was perfect though.

Breakfast was fab and the waitress was really lovely and friendly. For the price, my room was great. Compact but really clean and the bed was unbelievably comfy. Being a single room I expected a small single but I was pleasantly surprised by a small double bed so loads of room! Great value for money Super easy walking distance to the town centre and park My car is fairly large so I couldn't easily get into the spaces provided (bit awkwardly placed) however there's unrestricted parking on the street next door which was great

Check-in was a little bit random. I arrived at the discussed time but was greeted by an older child (which I didn't mind as such) and his friends but he seemed was a little confused as to what was needed to check me in but we got there in the end. He was very polite. If you're facing the road, sleep with your window shut as it was surprisingly noisy at 6am from passing cars. Wifi wasn't the strongest (needed for work) but then again I was on the very top floor

Friendly hosts, good sized room which was clean and smelt very fresh. Bedding and towels were good quality and very clean. Tea/coffee making facilities in the room, as well as complimentary shampoo and body/hand wash. Breakfast was very good, we had full English with toast, orange juice and tea…all good quality and cooked very well. Excellent location, just a few minutes walk to the town centre & beach.

Although the bed was a beautiful, four poster bed, it was very uncomfortable and creaked EVERY time we moved or turned over, which led to a very poor nights sleep.

Bed was comfy. Breakfast was lovely. Staff were nice. Room was quite big for a single which was a nice surprise too. In walking distance from town but fair enough away to not be right in the center of everything. No need to move the car if you don't want to. Hotel is on a main road. So be mindful if you don't like road noise while trying to sleep.

None.. would stay again.

From the second we arrived to the second we left the whole experience was great the staff are so friendly and helpful. We booked a superior room with was beautiful and exceptionally clean. This is a dog friendly hotel and we wished we had taken our dogs. The breakfast was excellent and the service outstanding. We enjoyed our stay so much we are already looking to book again. I recommend this hotel to anyone and its location is great about a five minute walk to the harbour.

Excellent breakfast, great location and lovely hosts. Very clean. Our room was a bit small and hot at night. Very noisy seagulls nested outside of our window, but this is a part of seaside town fun. We enjoyed staying there, but next time will choose a bigger room.

Small double attic room and it was very hot at night. It did smell of damp a little, but the plumbing was brand new and bathroom was immaculate so I hope it will be resolved with time.

Very welcoming host, good central location. Good range of things on offer for breakfast. Clean room and comfortable bed. Great that you can bring dogs and much appreciated although £10 per night additional charge seems excessive if you are a responsible owner and don't allow your pet to make a mess.

Room satisfactory but decoration and fittings rather spartan and plain so lacking a homely feel or even the plusher feel of a hotel room. For the price would have expected a little more in this respect. Ceiling definitely needs replastering. Position by the main road into Whitby a little noisy if you need the window open on a hot night.

Great location with parking - dependant on time of arrival and availability. I got lucky and this was a great benefit as parking generally hard to come by in Whitby. Arrived very early and asked if I could use the car park and was pleasantly surprised when the young girl (later turned out to be the owners daughter) said yes and not only was that fine but was also able to check me in early and give me the room key. Really efficient and friendly. Then asked whether I could use my laptop in the dining room to work from and here I met the owners who said no problems. Great friendly owners and staff. Pre order your breakfast choice the night before. Nice breakfast room, good breakfast and efficient service again by young member of staff. I was in the single room which was a decent size with a comfortable bed and a view over the road to the park. Smallish but ample bathroom with good shower. Decor was basic but how long do you spend in a room anyway and for £75 you couldn’t go wrong - an absolute bargain. Short 5-10 min walk into town. 15-20 min nice walk at back of hotel to old railway track over viaduct with great views.

Nothing.

A lovely and friendly family run b&b. Chatty hosts and genuinely interested in my stay and even offer some local good pubs. The breakfast was stunning and an excellent way to start the day. I stayed in a single room which had a double bed in. The bathroom was nice and modern and I had a view of both the park and Abbey from my window. A gorgeous upkept building with a lot of character. Finally, it's in a great location with not even a 5 minute walk to the train station and shops.

A hook for a towel/coat would have been nice but really not a big deal.

Lovely accommodation and a great breakfast!! Lovely fresh ingredients. We had a lovely room with a great power shower and tea tray which was topped up. East walk into Whitby town and harbour. The only negative was there were some very noisy guests who thought they would make a noise until 2am in the morning just above our room. Very frustrating and very little sleep on the first night. I think the owners had words the next day and luckily the 2nd night was much better

A little bit more information on arrival would have been good. I think guests who mis-behave should be banned as not fair on other guests
