Really enjoyed our stay....a few little things need to be fixed in the room, the door handle to the bathroom was lose, shower door didn't close properly, the toilet roll holder needs fixing, only 4 coat hangers so could do with a few more... but none of these things made our stay less enjoyable - we were at the front of the pub so there was noise, but again, that was only to be expected, I wear earplugs so didn't really hear it. The staff at the Granby are lovely, and if you want somewhere good to eat, I would definitely recommend trying the Roast dinners....it is better to book a table as it get very busy....the breakfast they do is very good too. I would definitely go back

Only one word can describe your hotel (( WOW )) . I will recommend my friends to visit your hotel. It's amazing and I got a view of Whitby abbey 😲 the only things I could say is the is a few little things that you could fix like the shower head holder, toilet seat and the bed made a few funny sounds but apart from that my stay was amazing. I would stop again but I'm moving over to your beautiful side of the country next Saturday but I will still come into your amazing pub and try some of your amazing food so many people told me the food in your pub is 10/10 so I will bring my wife next time. Thanks again for the amazing night

Fabulous family room, looked recently refurbished. Fab views, spotlessly clean, great size bedrooms, great bathroom & shower. Lovely little pub downstairs that does a fab breakfast at a great price. They do food all day & meals looked delicious. A really lovely little pub with lovely friendly staff, each one was so nice during our stay. We will definitely be staying here again, would highly recommend this hotel to everyone

Only downside is the parking can be difficult to park nearby. We were lucky to get a space 2 streets away, you need to get a parking scratchcard or you'll get a parking ticket

We stayed in the 2 bed family apartment again,gorgeous rooms & decor, lovely view, good quality bedding & super comfy mattress. Apartment was spotlessly clean. Superb breakfast for the price. The Granby is in a perfect location in the centre of town. Staff are all friendly & helpful. Food was all delicious, great fun on Tuesdays bingo night. Will definitely stay again.

Wish we could stay longer, nothing we didn't like

We didn't have breakfast, we were still too full from the excellent meal we had there the night before. Location was great, midway between all attractions, shops

The only thing we didn't like was the room was quite small. There was a double bed and a large sofa which took up too much space, it wasn't necessary. Also a bulky freestanding towel rail, also unnecessary as there was a heated towel rail in shower room. If these were removed the room would have a much better feel. Please note these aren't complaints, just suggestions. The room was nicely decorated and clean and tidy

Excellent location: Pavillion, eateries/food nearby and its a proper pub, not a wine bar, not a gastropub and all the otjer horrors which have befallen pubs. Lovely people.

Given more time and organisation on our part, we'd have gone for just a double, bt we ended up with the family room, twice the size we needed.

Good location in the centre of Whitby, convenient for both the central area facilities and the beach. Quieter than I expected, the main noise came from gulls rather than humans. Easy to access the rooms via a 24 hour door without going through the bar area each time. Good stock of tea and coffee in the room and a comfortable bed.

As it was above a pub, I did expect it to be quite noisy, however, I was pleasantly surprised and found that it was super quiet at night/was able to get a really good sleep. Location was excellent being 2 minutes from the Beach/Bay.

I would have liked daily fresh towels, wasn't sure if I had to ask for this or not.

The location. The pub downstairs. The room was modernized in an old British building. The walk to the train station was down hill leaving. It was quiet, clean and had everything I needed.

For a disabled person the narrow stairs would be impossible. (I am not.) The room was small, but then I had everything I needed.

The location is fantastic being at the top end of town. it has easy access and generally good parking available.The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The food is excellent.Good quality and value for money.All in all a great place to stay in Whitby.
