Excellent service to provide me with lovely porridge made with oat milk for breakfast, and dairy free yoghurts. Very spacious room and comfy bed, with good temperature control in the room. Very quiet location, a very good nights sleep! The food in the pub was top notch and the staff very helpful and friendly.

The only thing which could be a slight inconvenience is the very small car park, so it was pot luck if you got a space. But it was worth it to stay in such a lovely place.

Lovely pub setting. The room was large and bright and very comfortable. All the facilities of a higher end hotel room. The bed was comfy and the en suite was a good size with a lovely walk in shower.tea and coffee facilities provided. We had an evening meal which was excellent and brought to the table fresh and hot ! Something you don't always get . Breakfast was also very good and cooked to order. The owners and staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Parking is limited but only to be expected.

Fantastic spacious accomodation with superb en-suite. Lovely food both in the evening and breakfast. Friendly, welcoming staff.

The room was on the ground floor adjoining the beer garden. It was very noisey late on the Saturday night even though the garden was being renovated people still ventured out. Also very noisey from room above as seemed to be pacing through the night. But it’s luck of the draw wherever you stay. For all the above we would book again

An old pub with absolutely loads of character and a great beer and cider selection. Spacious and really well decorated and furnished rooms at the back of the property (although we did find the heating thermostat controls a challenge- sorted out for us by the owner). Great location. Enjoyable breakfast. Very friendly and helpful owner and staff.

The car park is quite small - so we opted to park nearby.

It was a touch of luxury packaged in history. There were some nice little touches and it was well presented with all mod cons. Lovely bathroom, light up mirror, good TV with lots of channels, breakfast was great and staff were excellent. Even though there were a few small things it was in no way a big issue and did not deteact from the great stay and beautuful, thoughtful and well presented accommodation. We would have happily stayed longer and would definitely consider returning.

Only one towel, robe and slippers proved for two of us. The water seemed to go cold in the shower intermittently and the shower also didn't drain too well as the floor wasn't sloped, so you had to stand in a puddle to try and dry off. I also caught my foot and toes on the edge of the shower as it was not obvious that there was a tiny and fairly sharp lip. These were little things and overall easily resolved. I chose not to seek assistance with things such as the water temp issue and the robes as we came in late from a festival and were only staying one night

We were greeted at the door everyone was very welcoming explained everything to us and booked us in for dinner upon arrival and showed us to our room. The room was lovely very homely, the bed was extremely comfortable, even though the windows were small there was plenty of lighting. The all out layout and design was very spacious, a fan was provided just incase the heat got to much over night, the shower was lovely a waterfall and handheld easy to use very straight forward. A coffee machine, kettle, mugs and pods were provided and instructions on how to use. The food was outstanding myself and my wife had a camembert to share to start and it was baked beautifully accompanied by some crusty bread, then for main I had the roast pork the skin was crispy and the pork was melt in the mouth, my wife had the beef ragu which she thoroughly enjoyed and then for dessert we got sticky toffee pudding and the brownie, we informed the waitress that my wife had an allergy and she made her feel very safe and assured she would let the kitchen staff know, we left the meal full but very happy. Breakfast was just as good very enjoyable not to filling and the morning was quiet and calm. Overall an outstanding experience will be suggesting to friends and family and we will be visiting again!

Nothing everything was outstanding

The Inn was perfectly situated where we wanted to be. The only draw back was the limited parking but the proprietors went out of their way to make sure there was always a parking place for us. The proprietors cared about their Inn and nothing was too much for them

The parking didn’t prove a problem……so there was nothing that we didn’t like.

Wow. Blown away, the room was inviting and comfortable. The staff were so accommodating and friendly - not just one but each and every one. The food was exceptional - compliments to the chef. Great little place we loved it .

There was seriously nothing we didn't like ... apart from we didn't want to leave and could have done with a few extra days

The room had plenty of space to store luggage. The interior is modern and comfortable. Especially the bathroom was big, had separated shower and bathtub so that also longer relaxing stays are possible. Although the room is behind the Pub it was calm so that we slept well. The staff was welcoming and friendly so that we felt at home. The food in the restaurant is of exceptional quality. We visit the restaurant for years and always plan a visit when we are near Wincanton.

We had nothing to complain.

Lovely hotel. Easy to find. Staff happy friendly and welcoming . Room comfortable. Great food especially breakfast.

If staying more than one night you have to request they service your room. Hotel in a one way street where traffic travels at speed. Care needed when crossing road and exiting car park.
