Freshly cooked, the breakfast was plentiful and I enjoyed every morsel. (I particularly recommend the sausages!) It really kept me going whilst I was out hill-walking. My private, comfortable, accessible downstairs room in a separate building alongside the pub was a good size, as was the en-suite wet room, with a powerful dual-head shower. Designer furnishings and fittings gave an ambiance in keeping with the building's former life as a joinery, and the individually-controlled heating was super-efficient. Trawden Arms is a very popular newly-refurbished and stylish pub, open-plan but with separate areas giving an intimate feel away from the boisterous nub, It serves the most sumptuous meals on a par with the fare of a top-class restaurant. I ate there every evening (including pizza Monday) and was blown away by the chefs' accomplished combinations of flavours. I yearn for lamb, well here I found it and it was delectable. Even humble fish, chips and tartare sauce was at a different level. Chips tend not to meet my standards but these were A*. I've just got to sample the pies!
In terms of accommodation, nothing. But whilst the location was ideal for my planned walk to Boulsworth Hill, not having my own transport was a disadvantage on the occasions that the scheduled bus service let me down. This was obviously not something Trawden Inn could be expected to remedy, and taxis worked out fine.

Great Community Pub - fantastic in fact. Great beer, good food and a really nice homely atmosphere. Rooms are spacious, modern and well furnished. They are next to the pub in what was the original Mill's old woodworking workshop so unlike many pubs you don't get the noise late at night. Breakfast was excellent (veggy full English in particular and I'm not a vegetarian). Staff were great. This is a beacon of community support and with the industrial history of its locality it is a testament to the efforts of the community to keep it as it is, I really enjoyed staying there.

Stayed 4 nights here, lovely place to stay. Host was very friendly and on hand if we had any problems (we didn't). Good location with a bus stop next door. Also across the road is the community shop, selling an array of goods and not over priced. The rooms are self contained with a separate entrance to pub. Very clean, well equipped, comfortable bed and nice shower. Breakfast was very good and cooked to order. Food generally in the pub was very good and it seemed a popular place with locals. We had a great stay here exploring the area and wouldn't hesitate to come back. Highly recommend the Trawden Arms.

The staff were all exceptional, courteous, friendly and extremely helpful. The place itself was a bustling hive of activity well used by visitors and the local community. We were made to feel very welcome. The food was varied and tasty with a great breakfast too. The room we stayed in was very well kept, clean and cosy. No intrusion unless asked for.
There was nothing to dislike. The car park can get very busy at certain times, but was never a problem.

Beautiful old revamped forge . Everything done to top quality that exceeds expectations. Pub fantastic welcoming community pub, with entertainment some evening s. Thanks to Jamie Manager who made our stay fantastic , all staff polite professional and friendly . Thanks to Teagan and Grace xx Community were very friendly . Food Breakfast excellent but select only a few items as it’s massive with high quality produce . Each evening excellent menu served in the pub with home cooked food. Monday night local man called John makes pizza outside the pub and when ready brings in your order, it’s wonderful. Thanks for everything, we will be back xxxx

Friendly & professional staff - everyone went out of their way to be helpful and of service. The room was delightful, clean and comfortable, with nice touches like lots of teas, coffees and biscuits. The food was excellent - I ate in the pub in the evening and for a Thursday it was busy. Breakfast was all you could ask for - plenty of choice and cooked to order, plus cereals, juice, etc
I prefer a firmer bed, but that is personal choice. The TV stations available were limited, but I watched Netflix on my tablet by accessing the free wi-fi.

We had a ground floor room which meant we didn’t have to carry our bags upstairs 😊. The room was very clean & spacious. The bathroom was fantastic with easy to use controls - if you’re from Australia you’ll understand - and the hot water was instant. The breakfast was good and we both had a full English.
Nothing. If I’m being super picky, it would have been nice to have a step in the shower to shave my legs but I managed just fine. And nowhere in the UK has this. And nowhere in the UK has mini fridges!

Lovely pub in great location. Staff were very friendly. Food was great - I honestly could have just had the starter and would have been fine. The main was very big and there was no chance that was going to get demolished. Therefore, very nice food and lots of it. Many locals seemed to visit and the atmosphere was very like a country pub - all very chill. Room was very nice with a comfortable bed. Car park was not large, but likely right for the number of rooms - no issues getting a spot.

The community pub vibe could be felt everywhere, it was so friendly and practical and helpful. The room and bathroom decor was "sophisticated rustic charm" without being pretencsious. The whole experience was exceptional. We will be back for a longer period for sure.
When we arrived on a busy Saturday night in awful weather we were relived to still find a parking space in the car park - but it was the last one. We would not have known what to do if that space had been full ... Perhaps point out alternative parking spaces in the property description, or make sure there is always a space?

Everything about the Trawden Arms was Amazing! Staff, welcoming, atmosphere, beautiful quirky rooms, and the food! Was expecting a lovely experience after reading reviews and was even more impressed. Nothing was a hassle for the staff and hearing the chef singing in the kitchen put a smile on our faces. Just shows how putting your heart and soul into your work leads too happy customers. Beautiful community and the shop/ library ran by lovely volunteers, was also outstanding. Their produce and friendliness was also outstanding. Highly recommend and looking forward to returning. Thank you Trawden !
