The female barmaid on the Wednesday evening was so helpful and friendly. Professional and lovely. (Didn’t get her name but when we asked, she said she is a Law student at Uni) The food was excellent too! Nice big portions! The pastry on the apple and mincemeat strudel was out of this world! All the staff were friendly and professional. Lovely atmosphere. Stunning restaurant!! The room was nice and warm!

There were a few things that needed dusting in our room - the top of the headboard, the remote control(I wiped it before using it) the hairdryer, the lamps, the wall panelling. The shower head was clogged too so once we unclogged it, there were black bits being spat out. Brown marks around the shower cubicle. The walls were very marked by the bed, could do with a repaint.

Love this place, we’ve stayed here before on the way from south Wales to Harrogate, and we’ll be back next December. (Very convenient for a stop off at Boundary Mill too!) The rooms are modern and comfortable, the shower is spacious and the food is very good. We had a delicious evening meal, my husband said the beef and bone marrow burger was exceptional. Really good value and the staff are lovely too.

Not a complaint just a suggestion, that the curtains could be shorter so that they don’t obscure the radiator.

Lovely place just away from all the busy towns and roads, but close enough for easy access to all. A friendly welcome and attention, despite being a particularly busy evening. The room was well presented, clean and a nice roomy bathroom. Surprisingly quiet in the room I was in (5).

I have stayed quite a few times (approx every 2 months) Always friendly staff - a nice gesture from Liam? who appeared to recognise me and was very welcoming.

Simply my opinion - and only a suggestion - Room 3 - the space between the table and the bed restricts the use of the chair for laptop work. Perhaps another small table could be included in the room?

Good breakfasts. Location is great for visiting friends in Barrowford. Nice room, comfy bed

The pillows are very hard. The shower floor was very slippy as it has a very smooth surface - Perhaps a shower mat should be provided. The cleaning of the room lacked attention to detail, I found a contact lens on the carpet. The edges of the carpet\ room had not been vacuumed and it was not well vacuumed in general when the previous occupant left.

Nice location, welcoming on a short-notice booking, good food.

Should do a breakfast-included-with-the-room option, or at least an option to have coffee/tea included in the breakfast price.

Really well styled, restaurant lovely(evening meal and breakfast), staff excellent, in particular the deputy manager. Great ambiance. It was also nice to have a Gin with correct garnish- (sorry Gin snob Tangueray 10 and a slice of grapefruit-thanks)

Nice atmosphere, we enjoyed having afternoons in the garden with family and friends. Restaurant was very popular . Clean Comfortable room and we would love to stay here next time we are in UK.

I would highly recommend this hotel. The rooms were extremely exceptional. The food was outstanding. The staff equally brilliant.

I would just have a small recommendation. Take the minted peas off the menu. Minted peas do not belong in a northern establishment. I was expecting mushy peas as this is what I’m told is perfect in the north.

Check out is 10.30 am however I had a work call I couldn’t get out of meaning I was in the room a little longer than expected. Not friendly or accommodating. I have booked for an upcoming stay but will potentially reconsider
