We stayed in this beautiful historic hotel for 3 nights last week. Everything was perfect. The bar staff were lovely. Very friendly but professional. The setting is amazing with well-kept grounds to stroll around. The weather was glorious, so dining outside on the lovely terrace was an added bonus for the time of year The bar meals were delicious and well presented. It was nice to be able to sit in the famous bar that was used by the dam busters and soak up the atmosphere. This hotel is steeped with their history.....take a walk around the corridors and view all of the artwork .Our room was cosy and comfortable with a nice big bed. We slept like babies. Would definitely stay here again.

Staff welcoming, friendly and helpful. Upgraded because of disability. Bedroom clean, well equipped and maintained. Four-poster bed very comfortable, though high. Excellent Afternoon tea. Beautiful building is very interesting and proudly shows off its RAF memorabilia in its various rooms. Grounds are large and welcoming. Parking is excellent. Position near centre of village is ideal for the little shops, historic Kinema in the woods and Jubilee Park.

Some items in hot breakfast could be improved (yolks of fried eggs looked soft but were 'plastic'). Breakfast service on second day was poor. Back of dressing table chair in Oak in dangerous condition and very uncomfortable. Lift accepts only the smallest of mobility scooters and, out of doors, access is difficult to some areas because height differences if meeting pathways are too high - need small ramps.

The rooms are clean comfortable roomy. The breakfast is part buffet part served. Food is delicious. The hotel itself is truly magnificent. A very complimentary mix of old and new style. The staff are incredible people. Always friendly always willing to help. They will go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable. Had an afternoon tea which was very delicious and even changed the menu slightly to cater for my tastes. I requested to stay in the same room which I had stayed in previously. The hotel happily obliged which only impressed me even more. I definitely will visit again and again. Cannot rate everything about the hotel highly enough!

When you arrive, the staff acknowledge you, and not just the reception staff either. Staff are approachable. The comfort of the room, especially the bed. Room was spacious and I liked walking through the gardens but also learning about the wartime history of the hotel. One of the highlights was the flyby of the Lancaster Bomber over the hotel.

I'm aware the hotel is attracting more wedding parties but as long as they don't interfere with the experience, enjoyment of the surroundings (as a single traveler),then things should be fine. I'd rather not have larger wedding parties making their presence known to fellow guests who come for relaxation. I also hope that the younger golfing crowds, particularly noisy groups, don't spoil the atmosphere and tranquility of this hotel.

I stayed at the Petwood Hotel as my brothers wedding reception was going to be held there. I figured a good night sleep before and a room within staggering distance would be a good idea. The Petwood is a very picturesque hotel in Woodhall Spa in Lincolnshire, this place looks amazing. I can't say enough good things about the staff there, nothing seemed to be too much trouble for them. Especially the lady who I'm guessing was the events manager. The food is pretty good and the breakfasts seem to be limitless if you want it. My brother going back for 3 helpings of fried goodies on the Sunday morrning. The room is nice and spacious, if a little blandly decorated and the bed is pretty comfortable.

There is one thing that bugged me, I stayed in room 222 and as you'd expect on a hot June weekend, I had the windows open. I was woken up by the sound of a loud extractor fan from either a fridge or air conditioning unit both mornings that I stayed there. That was really annoying and pretty much put a sour note on a great stay.

A beautiful hotel in lovely ground with a fantastic history. Executive room was really nice. It was clean and comfortable with plenty of space. Bathroom was excellent. Evening meal was delicious with plenty to choose from and a good selection of drinks were available. Breakfast had a good selection and the full English was very tasty.

The poor old lift has seen better days with the doors sticking and the lift not moving. If it hadn’t been for a very helpful member of staff running up the stairs to get the doors unstuck I would have had to use the stairs to the second floor which would have taken me quite a while

Stayed for my birthday, upgraded on check in to a beautiful room. We have Stayed here previously and love the location.

Went for breakfast on the first morning and were greeted with 3 members of staff calling someone else and saying that they were not going to do something which had been requested. Restaurant staff at breakfast were less than attentive. One morning had to have breakfast in the lounge. But had to go and find someone to get coffee and again to order breakfast. ...Never did get the sauce!.

Breakfast was really good when we eventually were served, the staff were lovely there just were not enough of them,

This is a very nice hotel, lots to look at and lovely gardens to explore. Unfortunately we wanted to have a pre-dinner drink however there were 2 people in the bar seating area that had probably had one two many, there voices were loud and language very colourful, we were not the only people to leave the area and try to find a seat elsewhere.

I was there with a large group having a black tie dinner to celebrate 50 years since graduation from the RAF College Cranwell. The food and wine were excellent, quite the nicest food I've had in a long time. The staff were friendly and very efficient - a very slick service. From the very first booking online, I received informative, helpful follow-ups, including a pre-arrival check-in. Check-in and check-out were seamless. The grounds were beautiful and the hotel is a treasure trove of memorabilia of the RAF in the Second World War, with particular attention to the Dambusters (617 Sqn)

I was only there for one day! I could have done with another day or two! I could have done with a bit more time to fathom out the temperature settings on the shower. I really can't think of anything that could be improved.

Everything. Everything about the Petwood Hotel is just incredible. The location is just stunning, the food is delicious and the suite we had booked was just so so beautiful. The staff are exceptionally polite and could not do enough for us. Is it the perfect hotel for everyone but especially if you are an aviation enthusiast. The Petwood Hotel is steeped in RAF history as it was used at the Officer's Mess for the famous 617 Squadron during the Second World War. We had the most perfect stay in the most perfect hotel. Thank you so so much!
