Lovely old property with beautiful decor and sumptuous furnishings. Breakfast was really good, the vegetarian option was perfect using all fresh ingredients. A nice surprise was the free standing bath and complimentary Arran toiletries . Convenient for bus service to Lincoln City centre. We enjoyed sitting outside on the patio area overlooking the gardens.

The duvet was rather heavy for summer use. Didn't like the outside lights on at night , but keeping the curtains and shutters closed tight prevented airflow. To be fair there was an electric fan provided which was effective but too noisy to keep on all night.

Completely met expectations and was situated in a very quiet and secluded location. It's clear much emphasis is given to guests comfort, and the whole ambience is one of indulgence. Whilst we didn't dine in, other than to enjoy the fabulous breakfast, then I am sure the experience would have been very worthwhile, but we wanted to explore a little further. Next time, however, we will pencil in a full dining experience.

The incessant email communication from the hotel, which amounted to 12 e-mails, many of which were simply repeating ad infinitum what had already been said!

Staff went beyond what would have been expected. They were so friendly and helpful. Hotel was extremely comfortable, and every effort was made to accommodate our requests, especially having a baby and a dog. We had a problem with the shower and they not only listened to our complaint, but they installed a completely new shower unit during our stay. First class response! It is ideally placed for getting around the county and Lincoln itself. The village has reasonable amenities which are all within walking distance. First class breakfast.

Nothing to add in this category.

Were do I start.. This hotel was in my top 3 hotels I've stayed in. Couldn't fault the stay from start to finish. Staff, rooms and food were fabulous. Staff professional, friendly and could do enough for you.. Made you feel really welcome and special. Room was clean and spacious with some lovely features. Separate shower and bath in bathroom. Comfortable beds. Restaurant was beautifully laid out and food was excellent. Jonathan, Monty and Wendy you were particularly fabulous. Jonathan your Bailey's latté was the best I've tasted. Thank you all for making my daughters 30th a birthday to remember.

Very small niggle. The shower could have been a better design for the cubicle. It was an over head large fitted rainfall shower which is great if you want to wash your hair although it had a hand held small shower head too it was fixed so you couldn't move it very well.. With not needing to wash my hair had to try and manage with the small head. If my only concern was the style of shower for the size of cubicle then that's fantastic.. Wouldn't have mentioned it because it wasn't that bad but as you asked what I didn't like I thought I would just comment on that minor niggle. I'm sure the shower situation wouldn't be the same in every room. Just to add, the bathroom was lovely.

Old fashioned values Very pretty Great service

I would have liked the opportunity to see the other rooms as I’d booked an executive room and an upgrade I didn’t feel the room was as good as I was expecting. No bath and the shower / toilet felt like it had been put into a cupboard. Also I wasn’t expecting to have two single beds put together I would have thought it would have been a single large bed maybe even four posted would be more fitting to the establishment. The room was nice enough and spacious just needed a bit more luxury. The radiators also was either on or off even though they had thermostat valves of put onto 1 it was still boiling.

Staff members were very warm; professional and efficient, yet unhurried. The overall ambience was understated and relaxed. Many locals frequent the restaurant at the weekend; always a strong endorsement. Having booked online, the hotel rang me directly shortly afterwards to ask if I would care to make any dinner reservations to avoid disappointment, and to confirm they were able to fulfill a special request. Oh... did love the line in bathroom toiletries, such that I will be ordering some for home!

Beautiful hotel set in stunning surroundings, yet only 5 mins from the centre of Lincoln. The whole hotel was immaculate. The staff were amazing, so friendly and helpful. Our room was large and bathroom had a shower which we had requested. Our meal in the restaurant was absolutely superb, as was the service. Breakfast was really tasty and once again great service. Can't recommend this place enough to anyone thinking of booking.

We couldn't find fault with this hotel.

The breakfast and evening meal were excellent. Washy Hall has hit the balance between posh and welcoming. Enjoyed my stay so much I took my parents (in their 80's) 2 weeks later, they loved it too. It's calm, relaxing and beautifully indulgent.

I was worried about the stairs for my parents, however I spoke to reception in advance. Reception ensured their bags were carried to the room for them and they coped fine with the stairs.

Sadly I was ill so missed the breakfast other than some toast brought to the room (no fault of the hotel though). We travelled with two labs and once shown to our room the receptionist told us we could bring the car round to the back of the hotel and park in the staff area. This made a huge positive difference to unloading and meant we didn't have to take the dogs through the hotel. The room had french doors out to a small grassed area which was secure so perfect for the dogs. The hotel was in a quiet residential area with lovely grounds.

I would have liked to try the breakfast (after all Lincolnshire has wonderful sausages!)

Enjoyed my stay at Washingborough hall, room was excellent and the addition of tea/coffee making facilities with free water bottles for us both was a nice touch Staff always very helpful and attentive to our needs, great bar food and a lovely relaxing atmosphere Ample parking on the property and easy access to the area of Lincoln centre which was 20 mins drive away Would stay again

The weather was very warm when we stayed and no air conditioning, a small fan was provided but was very noisy Which we could not use at night. Would like to see a newer updated fan, probably a tall one, in the rooms which you could be moved around A soap dish in the bathroom would be helpful, we use our own soap and had nowhere to put it on the sink, , hand wash was provided, but just a thought for the hotel not a complaint
