Friendly, staff. Retrieved our bags from taxi, recommended places to eat, very helpful. The included breakfast was just right in the amount and choices. Black out curtains very effective.

My only problem was with the high tech coffee maker. We had never used this type before and there were no instructions.

Room was well heated, a big deal in Alaska.

Unfair to say - hotel not yet completely finished.

Location was great. Walkable to center of town no problem. Safe. Security on site. The hotel is still under construction so there is no restaurant on site, but they have some simple grab and go options for breakfast. There is free water, coffee, and tea in the lobby. Beds were comfortable. Staff were very friendly. Check in was smooth. We were on the first floor, so we did not have to worry about the lack of an elevator (during construction). Close to the train station but there is a large quantity of stairs down so not the best for anyone with mobility issues. Would definitely stay here again and can't wait to see what the location looks like when construction is done.

One issue we had is the rooms do not have enough plugs for phones and electronics. Not a deal breaker but we had four adults so even finding space for just the cell phones was a challenge.

Some of the staff were really friendly. We had concerns about the cleanliness of our room, and the night shift front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. They moved us to a new room, which showed off how comfortable and clean the rooms usually are! There were complimentary drinks and a microwave in the lobby as well. It was quiet at night, and the staff were ready to greet anyone entering the building.

The first front desk staff we met did not feel as welcoming. Our first room was also not cleaned properly and smelled. The emergency alarm for the building accidentally went off once during our stay and woke us up. There is currently (March 2025) construction going on, which may have contributed. It's only loud during the day, though.

I stayed the week that the Aviator had opened and everything was shiny and new. My room was exceptionally beautiful and clean - they were finished beautifully and looked just like the photos. The staff were so helpful and pleasant. They’d greet you like a friend when you came back in from your day. Overall I couldn’t fault the hotel once you were inside.

The “Mountain View” room didn’t exactly have much of a Mountain View at all and looked out onto the back parking lot. This is something that the hotel can’t really control but there is quite an issue with homelessness in Anchorage and it seems to be particularly bad within the blocks of this hotel. I was never bothered by them while walking back to the hotel but it can be quite intimidating as a young woman walking on her own when there are groups loitering along the road. That’s an issue for Anchorage in general though.

Excellent hotel with a good location, easy access on foot to see the attractions and good restaurants in downtown Anchorage. Another advantage of the Aviator's location is that many tours booked in Anchorage depart from the Tourism Center, which is 3 blocks away or about 5 minutes on foot. The hotel has cozy rooms with good facilities and bathrooms. The reception staff and staff in general are helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about the services and the city. They recommended nearby restaurants with names, reviews and distances. Excellent service!

Well located and recently renovated hotel with spacious rooms, modern bathrooms, comfortable beds, and super friendly staff. You can walk to the train station in 5 minutes, the shopping center is just next door, and the entire city center is easily walkable from the hotel. I stayed here twice, in different floors and different rooms - one on the street side and one at the back - and they were both great. The only downside is that there is no elevator, so if you have mobility issues ask for a room on the main floor.

Wi-Fi was sometimes a bit spotty in one of the rooms I stayed at. Was ok for regular use, but not ideal for WhatsApp calls. Also, the train honked a lot at night waking me up a few times (but it's so loud that you hear it all over the city center of Anchorage, not just at this hotel).

Clean, Modern and good size room. Upgraded bathrooms with glass doors! Small refrigerator in room. Welcoming and friendly staff. Nice little water/tea/coffee station free of charhr and also small snacks available for purchase.

The room was almost a 10 except the noise that was coming from the window was bothersome. Our room faced the street side and we could hear even people walking on the sidewalk. Huge problem when your looking for a quiet place to rest. Hopefully they can upgrade or better insulate the windows!? Also, No Microwave in room.

Outstanding facilities! The rooms were gorgeous, bed and linens super comfy, and lots of room to spread out. I had a chance to chat with staff about their current construction projects and this place will only get better with time! The location couldn’t be better, right downtown Anchorage, and walking distance to everything! I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy place to stay in Anchorage

They may have been training some new staff as they are a growing facility. Check-in was a wee bit slow, but nothing detrimental to my trip.

Hotel Aviator literally rescued me at the last minute when there was an issue with my other reservation. In hindsight, I am glad that the other reservation didn't work out because our stay at this property was great! Location, staff, service was very good. We didn't get inconvenienced because of any noise or other disturbances even though it is going through a renovation and is on a busy street. Adding a white noise machine was a great touch. The entire room has a modern and warm feel. All members of staff were very warm and courteous. Please continue to keep up the great standards.

Continenetal breakfast buffet selection can be a little better. Also, can have more reserved passes for parking at the garage opposite the hotel.
