Got my room changed from 2nd floor to the ground floor. The location was good, Room was fine, with a kitchenette (WOW) Our room over looked the Pool area. Private parking space. Breakfast was nice, thank you.

The reception received was not very good. Reception was helping someone, due to respiratory issues I sat on the back couch waiting my turn. A women (guest at hotel) wondered in walked around and once guest being help walked away she rushed over in front of me... the girl behind the desk should have said something.... I was then was helped by a young man with an attitude of some sort, he seemed very bothered about being at work that day. I had 4 interactions with him and all where the same. He seem ok with fellow employees. Just guests bothered him I suppose. It seemed a burden to change my room to the ground floor. Mattress in the room was terrible, and the Toilet was not ADA compliant was it?!

The location and staff. I love Alameda! I grew up in the SF Bay area and this place, Alameda reminds me of my youth. The Coral Reef Inn has stayed the same, quiet, close to the Bay and easy transport to San Francisco.

The Coral Reef Inn has been around a long time. It's a little tired and some, not all of the bed mattresses are in need of replacement. I consider the reasonable rate part of the reason that hasn't been done. The staff, family, most likely, are the same folks from 30 years ago. (I'm pretty sure about that?) And I'll be back again and again. I hope it doesn't change. They are kind and thoughtful folks.

This is not the first time that I stay in this place, I really like it, is old but cozy, very clean and very comfortable, the location in Alameda is great, and this time they give us a room that had a living room, was like a little apartment. I'm very satisfied every time with this place. The fact that makes me choose this motel too, is that this is one of the only motels around in it's price range that have kitchen, for me this is determinat cos I prefer to cook my own food.

In general all good, the internet can be better, is slow and get stuck; and I use the pool for first time in this trip, but I didn't expend too much time cos the water was smelling funky. other than that was all good.

I love this location so MUCH! The location of this Inn is right at the beach front and I'm talking about only 100 yards away. There is free parking! All of your shopping needs are right across the other side of the street. 5 guys, Walgreens, Trader Joe's, Safeway, Khols, Ulta, and much more! If you need something you can walk over to the other side and get it. The room I stayed in was a suite that the front desk upgraded me to, which was AWESOME! we had a view of the lake, a king-size bed, a whole kitchen area! with a living room, a bunch of towels, and it was so peaceful. My hubby and I always have our romantic dinners out on the porch. And the sun setting while slipping a wonder bottle of wine just places it over the top! And I said this once and I'll say it again... this is a quiet and peaceful place! Both times that we stayed there we heard nothing more than just the ocean from a distance. So if you're looking for a do-it-yourself spa day or a romantic getaway this would be it.

the only thing I will grade harshly is the bed! if you are into really firm beds, you'd have no problem with this. It's just for me I need my beds to feel like a cloud I want my body to sink in the mattress. I would recommend this place to get a foam topper. That would be cool! Also, our kitchen area has no pots, pans, or plates! so we couldn't use the kitchen area to the fullest!

I recently stayed at the Coral Reef Inn & Condo Suites by the beach, and it had a lot of character. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the hotel's unique charm, reasonable room rates, and excellent location made for a pleasant stay.

During my stay at the Coral Reef Inn & Condo Suites, I noticed that the rooms could benefit from some updates. For example: The curtains were worn and dirty, the floors could use a good scrub, the kitchenette felt dated, the TV had lines scrolling on the screen, and a couple of light bulbs were out.

Rooms were nice! We apparently got one of the smaller ones and still seemed bigger than average for the Bay. Kitchenette is really a great add. Lots of parking space, a Bowling just nearby and the Alameda beach to stroll and watch birds 2 minutes away. We’re making this our number one spot when possible around this side of the bay. Staff was kind and flexible. We didn’t check the included breakfast though coz after bowling at night we woke up later…

Location was amazing, right on the ocean. Bed comfortable, gorgeous view of the lagoon, full kitchen. Very nice cleaning staff. Safe parking (cameras), but area seems safe in general. Shopping center right across the road. Complimentary breakfast - toast, cereal, yogurt, fruit. And a pool, sometimes shared by local ducks.

The place is really run down. I was there about 7 years ago, but it's a lot worse now. Looks like they aren't repairing or replacing when things fail. Front desk staff (apart from one woman, possibly the owner) didn't have customer service skills. Small price to pay for the location, convenience, and price!

This is the 4th time I stay there. Great location on alameda, nice place and view, the fact that the rooms have a little kitchen with stove and sink is one of the reason that I chose this place too, all the rooms have a nice deck too, the staff is always kind and helpful, safe location.

In generally very clean, but the curtains were not so clean this time, there was some little spills and stains of food stick on it from previous people.

Chill, half a block from the beach and shore trail, super clean, lots of character, everyone was lovely. If you make a bit of effort you can get around decently with ferries/buses/bart. Cute eateries, coffee, shopping nearby.

They upgraded me to a king size suite on the inner waterfront for no extra charge. The location is convenient to the meeting place and just across from a shopping center with a grocery store. It's a short walk to the beach. Walking to the restuarants on park street was easy.

The complimentary breakfast is pretty minimal and lacking in protein. Coffee, toast, convenience store packaged pastries, sugared yogurt, and granola. Milk was the only protein. Apples are the only fresh fruit. The place is in bad need of a makeover and updating, but then they would likely charge a lot more. If you have modest expectations, you will find it a good value for the area.
