The management always makes sure I am able to get the accommodations I need . Always asks how I am doing.

Sometimes people are in front of my door talking loud. Usually the people staying next to me. Nowadays it can be a problem to ask people to take their conversations somewhere else. So, if you're sensitive to that, try to concentrate on something else.

This Rodeway is an older building. "Vintage" The front doors have paint fails, so you wonder if you're getting a smelly carpet room with a lumpy mattress and old yard sale furniture crowded into a too small room. (which was my experience earlier at the very cheapest hotel on offer in Oakland). Imagine my delight: Inside was wooden floors! modern marble countertop sink! and matching light blond wood furnishings! A cheerful orange wall. Great bed covering. A medium sized fridge, vintage microwave (easy to operate! just spin the dial) Bathroom had also been redone. Shower was nice. The color scheme and scale of the furnishings was pleasing to eye. And I'm an artist. I grew to love the front door pain fails, it was artsy quirky and kinda cute. I had stayed both at the cheapest place in Oakland and an extended stay hotel in Alameda in the weeks prior. This one was better than both in my opinion. Great value for the money, simply and tastefully furnished, clean, and within walking distance of a safeway supermarket, target, chipotle, laundry, pharmacy, FedEx office, and many other restaurants.

overall was very happy with the place. Will stay there again. would like to see the bed skirts changed as they were stained at the foot of the bed by the top of someone's work boots, apparently. There was no feature to plug the tub, so I was unable to take a bath. But also would have skipped a bath had it been possible because: Shower curtain had some dark coloration at the bottom hem, prompting worries about mold. There was also some black coloration around the non-slip mat inside the tub, which may have been mold.

The receptionist woman was great. During check-in, she was helpful and efficient. The hotel is outdated, but the bed was comfy, and I had a coffeemaker in the room.

The front desk woman who greeted me and checked me in was wonderful! The hotel was close to the company for whom I work, and the room was quiet and comfortable. It seems that a lot f workers stay there, and they are all pretty quiet.

It was all fine, i have no complaints. I got what I paid for, and it was a pretty good price for one night.

there was no breakfast, but i dont eat breakfast. there was a coffee maker & coffee in my room though, which most motels have dispensed with, blaming it on the pandemic. the room is very good-sized, with a table & chairs as well as a desk & a dresser. the bed is very comfortable. location is excellent for me. nearby eateries & coffee shops, & right near the webster tubes, so i am only a few minutes from downtown oakland, where i couldnt find a ground floor room. i am disabled. rodeway made sure to give me a ground floor smoking room, with parking right outside my door, so i couldnt be more pleased. i have just booked 6 more days here, & shall book more right after that. i'm staying.!!

no real complaints. a little stuffy, as i cant figure out how to open the window, if it indeed does open. but not a big deal, really. i'm staying here for a while longer.

Your site still says and shows pics of having a pool on site...yet they filled it in a long time ago....

I didn't have breakfast and I was not aware of it. Location, Location, Location was perfect for where I needed to be ad the price for two nights was in my budget.

A little ran down in the reception area, but the rooms are okay. It's pretty quiet until the garbage truck shows up at around 5:00 a.m.
