When we returned to our room on the first night, it was cold outside so we turned the heat on. Unfortunately the heat wasn't working. We called the number provided and they had someone there in 10 minutes! They were unable to get it working properly so they upgraded our room to a nicer room with a fireplace! They were so friendly and helpful in this process. Also, I have to mention that, although we didn't avail ourselves, there is a 2nd "clothing optional" pool and jacuzzi surrounded by a six foot tall fence.

I wasn't sure what the "breakfast" would be since it wasn't listed anywhere what was included. You don't order your breakfast preferences. You just indicate how many people there are and they drop it off outside your door in the morning. Very quaint. For the record, our breakfast each day was the same - a nice croissant, some fruit, OJ, and yogurt. Butter and jam also included. It was enough to get the day off to a good start. Not saying I didn't like it, I was just unaware, but pleasantly surprised.

We loved the private patio with a small table & chairs and the fireplace. Enjoyed the heated outside pool & hot tub. Loved the rustic design and vibe, beautiful location. Peace and quiet. Light breakfast delivered to room. Easy access to Anza Borrego State Park.

The queen room with fireplace has one chair and stool. Both are very minimal and uncomfortable. There is nowhere to relax other than on the bed. Bed is somewhat comfortable and could be a little softer. A few small improvements could have increased the value for money to excellent. Perhaps Booking.com could accommodate or advise customers of the contactless, check-in procedure.

I loved the quiet and relaxed vibe of this desert retreat. It was exactly what I was looking for! The people are absolutely amazing. Breakfast was lovely (that croissant!), the granola was fresh and served very cute. If you're a star gazer, you'll love this place. The private patio at night was awesome, seeing the Milky Way AND starlink was super cool! My husband and I can't wait to return in a couple of months. We both returned home rested and relaxed. While the Room in itself was very tastefully furnished and provided beach towels and bathrobes I was extremely dissatisfied with the service. Upon my request for an early check in I was told there would be an extra charge of 30$. I declined and opted for a regular check in at 3:00 pm. We arrived at the hotel at 2:00 pm just to see if the room might be already ready. There was no one on the premises. After my repeated requests for the room number and the door code, Cristina, the operations manager, waited until exactly 2:55 pm - 5 Minutes before the official check in time, to give us the info, although the room had already been ready all this time. I find this behaviour extremely petty and not worthy of this otherwise beautiful hotel.

Property, room, and patio were clean. Room was well furnished and included bath robes and large towels for use at the two pools. Patio was private, roomy and well furnished with two chairs and a table, and two chaises and a table. Chaises were not only good for sunning but good for star gazing. Grounds and pool areas were quiet. Continental breakfast was delivered to room at a time you specified, and it was good. Property location was good.

Would be nice to have a mirror in the "bath" sink area (mirror was in separate vanity area not convenient for shaving).

This was a no-contact hotel, it was kinda like an AirBnB in that we got a code for the room and didn't see anyone, except in the morning they brought a decent continental breakfast to our room. Coffee was fresh in the reception area, no one there to see. Nice to eat in our private little patio area. The property is in the small town on one of the two main roads, but a bit out of town, there are other small hotels around, so not remote, but a big and quiet property. The adobe style was nice, the place was super clean and well taken care of, the hot tub under the stars nice, the mountain and desert views good.

We have been going here for years. We like the location and the ambiance of the rooms. I love the grounds that are mostly just left in their natural desert condition.

I just hate "mini bars". I am paying for the room and the management occupies part of it with stuff I do not want and would have to pay extra for. In this case there are only a few shelves for clothes and personal items and they have half of them covered with wine and snacks for a charge. Insulting in my opinion.

This Inn has a terrific location with great mountain views and very well-kept grounds. The room was spacious and clean, and I really enjoyed the private outdoor seating areas. I especially appreciated the adults-only feature as this provided a quiet and relaxing environment. The continental breakfast delivered to the room was convenient and tasty.

While the continental breakfast was tasty, it appears that it is the same menu every day. For a 2-day stay this wasn't a big problem, but a little variety would be nice (especially given the lodging price point). Also, the TV was quite small given the size of the room which made viewing it from the chair and bed somewhat difficult.

Despite arriving just after strong windstorms and during an electrical blackout of the whole city of Borrego Springs, my wife Nancy and I had a great visit! We loved the Southwest styling of the facility, the clear night sky from our patio, the nice cozy and warm fireplace in our room, and the great breakfast served up for us and delivered to our room. During the brief electrical outage, we were also very happy to find our room came with its own charged electrical lantern!

We were sorry that the pools and hot tubs weren't operable during our visit, but we totally understood due to the windstorm and electrical outage the area experienced for the first few hours of our visit. While we were offered the opportunity to reschedule our visit, we are glad we decided to stay...we had a great time with our Borrego Valley Inn adventure!

Very quiet and clean, pools and spas were well maintained. Bar refrigerator was plenty large, and the bed was very comfortable. AC was adequate and quiet. Good quality towels and linen. Staff were polite and informative and breakfast was well prepared and good but on the light side.

The coffee maker could have been better quality, The chairs fit the decor but could be more comfortable The private patio gate latch needs a little fixing.
