The pillows were horrible. When I called down to complain, front desk clerk was apathetic and unapologetic. Fixtures and furniture in the room were outdated. Price is super inflated for what we got.

So many wonderful things about this property and our stay!! If the spa is of interest to you.... IT'S PHENOMENAL! Loved the pool area, tons of very nice lounge chairs and cabanas, beach entry pool along with small kiddie pool and small ish hot tub.Nice music and drinks/eats served pool side. The fire pits were a nice touch in the evenings as well. The concierge so kindly offers beach chairs and towels and umbrellas for personal use and even offers a shuttle to a butlered beach up the way!!! Definitely a luxury stay and can't wait to come back. We've been coming to Carlsbad for a long time and this may be our new home away from home.

Service at Chandlers was a bit slow the 2 times we went even though they weren't busy during those hours but the food was good. In fact, the crab cakes were great and sweet potatoe fries were top notch.

The staff was amazing, friendly and helpful. Amenities and shuttle service to local beach and Carlsbad spots was fantastic. It was so amazing we extended our stay!

Restaurant was a little under staffed at night and looks like they may need more support there. We had an incident with our food and they quickly made it right for us but definitely a little more help especially in the kitchen but everyone was wonderful.

Rooms were in reply comfortable and spacious. Bedding was plush…. rooms are incredibly private and quiet . Beautiful views of the pacific .

Beaches are walkable from the hotel but the nicer Carlsbad beaches are a short 5-10 min drive away. Not as close to Carlsbad Village for the great dining and shopping. But, it is a more private, down from the main strip hotel so away from the crowds which was also nice at the end of a long day

Love the location right across from the beach. Clean, elegant, comfortable, great onsite restaurant. Lovely, helpful staff.

The phone in our room didn’t connect anywhere except to the restaurant which meant we had to walk down to the front desk for any requests. Highly inconvenient. The pool area was sometimes messy with food debris and used cups towards the end of the day.

Our room was just what we wanted, a good view of the ocean. Because of health issues we knew we would be staying in our room and take all our meals in house. Our room had enough space to move around but not too much.

For us the meals were a bit over priced.

Fantastic views, great pool area and a very friendly staff. From the moment you pull in you are greeted by a great valet staff and bell hop service. Check in was over in a minute with a very nice young lady, we were celebrating our 50th anniversary and we were asked if we would like to upgrade to a balcony room for a fee, we did and are very grateful for the advice. Balcony room is a must!!!

The resort is short staffed not by their choice, because of COVID the restaurant has reduced hours and no maid service during our stay. The food at the restaurant is wonderful and service is great, a car is a must, Carlsbad Village is about a ten minute drive, very scenic and everything thing was open and no mask mandates. People were out enjoying life again, very refreshing!

The friendly staff was terrific. Was upgraded to another room when another guest created noise throughout the night. No questions asked. The breakfast is a great value. The room was great with sound proof sliding glass doors. Beds were comfortable and pillows so nice.

Honestly, no areas that need improvement.

Location right mext to the beach. Hall is so well decorated. Such warm and wonderful feeling stepping in. Staffs are super awesome n so friendly. Fish tacos was so so so good!

There was some noticeable dust at the restaurant display shelf, in back of the night stand, and dust inside microwave storage area. This won't keep us coming back. The Seafood Cioppino portion was too small. Would be nice it come with 2 garlic bread instead of 1.

The place was clean and well kept. We walked down to the beach directly across the street the day we arrived. There is a campsite between the beach and the hotel you have to pass through. The beach directly across is a little rocky and there is not much sand or space to set up for the day. Its perfect for walking the beach though. The following day we reserved a shuttle to take us a little further up to the beachy sandy area. The shuttle ride is included in the resort fee as well as chairs, an umbrella, towels and sand toys for the kids when you get down to the beach. All the staff we encountered were so friendly and helpful! They had bikes for use as well but we did not get the chance to use with our littles. The restaurant was nice & would be convenient to have food close by normally, I’m sure. However, the dining hours were all over the place so we had to track down a waitress/waiter just to order food to go for dinner. Then we attempted to get breakfast the next morning during thier dining hours but after waiting for about 15 minutes with no success of finding anyone around to serve us, we left the property to eat elsewhere. (I understand this is normally probably not the case and staffing issues have been a problem everywhere during these Covid times. So although it was kind of a bummer, we were understanding about it and it was fine.)
