Really great hotel and complex, high quality throughout both in terms of rooms, food and the staff were excellent. Good selection of activities that could be done, we played tennis, cycled etc

It is a very expensive resort, we booked two rooms and a suite so we knew it was a major investment - but the charges for most other activities felt higher than expected. It would be better if the hotel also had somewhere you could buy snacks etc as we were limited to ordering room service

Customer service is outstanding

I was given key for someone's room and I entered someone else's room and it was extremally embarrassing but the staff who gave the key by mistake was super sweet. I specifically booked the room with ocean view but I was given room with golf course view but late at night the receptionist offered to change my room but it was difficult to move sleeping kids with all of the stuff from one room to another. Wife wasn't happy with non ocean view room but mistakes do happen sometime and that's ok

Beds very uncomfortable In this day and age where people have tempur pedics you would think one hotel or resort chain would value how people sleep on their stay

After requesting a new room I was very pleased with the view and the room overall. It was a great experience for my first time staying in the hotel. The spa experience was just lovely and exactly what I needed.

Was a little disappointed with the location of the pool and how it's in a covered area with no real views. Felt a little out of place but understanding that the hotel is built around a championship golf course, the pool isn't why people go.

The live bagpiper in full regalia at sunset was a special treat, as were the fire pits that can extend outside enjoyment of the ocean until further into the evening, and the seafood offerings at the outdoor Ocean Terrace were delicious and fresh (albeit pricey). The fitness room had all new equipment, was spotlessly clean, with chilled scented washcloths in addition to towels and had free refreshing drinks, apples and water each day. Each station was set up with water and a clean towel. And in the evening, after dinner we had the place all to ourselves! ( more people used it in the a.m.) Our rooms had a tub and a shower and ocean facing balcony, all great features and all used. There are only 4 such rooms at the hotel. Great smelling common areas, their proprietary fragrance.

The room towels looked clean, but had an off odor about them…like cleaning solvent… Although you could NOT hear the ocean and exterior noise, it was unpleasantly noisy in our rooms from the hallways, you could hear all the hallway conversations, room service and housekeeping carts, and doors to all the rooms on our floor (5) slamming constantly!! 😖😏😒🥺😠. So there is no interior soundproofing, a design flaw or building error for a lodging where people want to relax and sleep. The in-room nespresso machine gave out dirty tea water. We went to the complimentary coffee service in the lobby, but note it is taken down promptly at 10a.m. No breakfast included with a $1600+ room…

Everything was fabulous, we truly escaped from normal days routine

One little thing was not clear for us, that breakfast card has to have the room number, we thought if the card was in the specific room it already should include this information by default. We missed the breakfast over this misunderstanding. Otherwise all was great

The coastal walk is one of the best beach walks in California. The cioppino at the Conservatory is hands down the best we've ever had. Staff was amazing and accommodating.

A few little places in the room were in need of replacement/repair like the curtains closing completely or fraying, or electronic controls responding. Sounds nit picky, but it's the Ritz.

Beautiful location. Very good room with all thoughtful touches.

Value for money is not there. For people who come just for experience it’s a steep price to pay. There is no one that could personally demonstrate how to unlock all benefits and show especially first timers how the experience could be maxed.

Just perfect. Location and views from the movies. Best food in California. Best atmosphere I've been to so far. Seating on the private terrace listening to the waves was heavenly. Waking up and walking with my morning coffee to the cliff's edge was just.... Heavenly. If you can afford it, I strongly recommend a room with a terrace at the main building with costal or ocean view - IT IS AMAZING. Best service I have ever seen.

Can't think of anything.

Beautiful location, well maintained property. Excellent golf courses.

Too pricey! Lacked simple convinces (couldn't even purchase a candy bar, magazine, aspirin), had to drive off property into town for a reasonable cup of coffee. Room shower lacked safety grab bar to assist older guests.
