I stayed in the main house. The room was very spacious, with plenty of storage options and the beds were very comfortable. Plenty of open-air parking in front. Given that the hotel is older, the furniture in the rooms seems to have been recently updated. I liked the large fridge in the room and two water bottles were provided. Free WIFI. I liked the 'light touch' room service which replaced the towels daily and made the bed. Shampoo, conditioner and soap are provided. The location is perfect, within 5 min walking distance to the village gondola, Mammoth Brewery, and other restaurants in the village! There is a restaurant and a bar at the hotel.
Since the hotel is older, the interior - apart from the rooms - carpet, popcorn ceiling, etc. is a bit dated. No elevator, you need to carry your stuff up the stairs! There is no microwave in the room (just one in the basement, near the jacuzzi), which would have been nice since there is no breakfast provided. The coffee is not the greatest. The jacuzzi is okay, a bit on the small side and the bubbles a bit too much...the sauna could be hotter, and there is no cold dip option (I took a quick cold shower in between :).

Great location right across from village where gondola to Canyon Lodge is easily accessible. Staff is very nice and helpful. Room was very comfortable.
Someone sideswiped my vehicle as they tried passing my parked vehicle in the handicap parking spot just outside Clocktower Cellar (apres bar attached to Alpenhof) by trying to pull forward into the extra space in the handicap spot typically used for handicap van unloading. This was not the fault of the Alpenhof though, and luckily their staff was alerted by a witness as the driver drove off without leaving any info. The staff was very helpful in assisting with my filing a report with police.

Location, location, location. Across the street from gondolas and village. Perfect spot. The snow plow guys were on top of keeping the parking lot clear of snow. Overall clean.
Doors to the rooms are not very secure. The hot tub is in the basement next to the bar with no ventilation, no windows…kinda weird. That said, the place is old as dirt. Loud drunk people coming out of the bar. Some girl screaming at 1am and then bashed some guys camper window out. I’m sure it was a one off, but worried about car getting damaged. Bring back the apple cider and hot cocoa!

Location! We didn't plan to use our car to get to the Mammoth resort so chose this hotel due to proximity to the Gondola - it's only 3mins walk from the hotel and you are sitting in the Gondola which takes you to the Eagle lodge where you can start your ski/snowboard journey. Plenty of restaurants nearby. The room had all needed facilities including fridge, coffee machine. The staff is amazing an always ready to help. It was pretty quiet at nights, the room heater was a bit noisy though.
The sauna wasn't hot enough to enjoy it. The hot tub is ok.

Restaurants were walking distance. Village gondola was across the street. Jacuzzi and sauna were a great complimentary after boarding. Microwave accessible in laundry room. Parking was free and was able to still park there after check out time to go boarding and return to change in bathroom. I parked about 30 feet away from my room so it was close by. Will definitely book again. Very hot water to shower with so had to turn it down with coolness. Can't wait til next year!
Playstation couldn't access wifi.

Exceptionally friendly staff. When I was checking out, they kindly offered for me to leave my car in their parking lot, even though my stay had concluded, so I wouldn't need to deal with parking hassles at the ski lodge. They even offered me to use their shower and restroom to freshen up before my long drive home. Friendly and welcoming staff like this make a huge difference in terms of the overall experience. The room was spacious and comfortable, with all the necessary amenities, and housekeeping did a fantastic job. The convenience of being able to walk to the village gondola to go up to Canyon Lodge, a lovely restaurant within walking distance, and a fantastic dive bar downstairs all just added to the experience. I would book a stay here again in a heartbeat, and plan to return.

There are two bars next door. There is a jacuzzi, a microwave oven, a laundry set, and an ice machine downstairs ... which all come in handy if one needs them. Location of the hotel is nice, as described in the advertisement.
The small amount of water trickling out of the shower head was not comfortable (or efficient for cleaning purpose) at all. I suspect that it was due to the low water pressure supplied to the shower head. Also, the thermostat in the room did not work; the temperature was set too high and I was not able to adjust it down (even if I set it at 50 degrees) - fixing the temperature at (probably) 70 degrees was not only a waste of energy but also made it uncomfortable for me.

has an indoor jacuzzi and sauna but you have to go through the elements to get to the main building, so conveniently close to the village
there was a young woman who worked the front desk in the afternoon who was full of attitude. I had to return to the desk bc I couldn’t locate my room, she started with, “I tooold you, it’s…” well, sorry that as a guest I don’t know the layout of your buildings… same thing when I had to ask about the location of the jacuzzi and info on the restaurant. the other staff I encountered, especially the lady who works in the mornings, was very pleasant and wonderful to chat with their jacuzzi could use better cleaning to get rid of the scum along the walls and the sauna needs to get hotter!

You can’t beat the location. Right across the village and gondola can’t be beat. All at a reasonable price.
A bit disappointed that no breakfast was offered. They used to have a great b fast. Still using Covid as an excuse doesn’t hold water

Location is great, staff very friendly and helpful, like having pod coffee machine in room and some snacks in the lobby. Room comfortable. Love that you can keep car parked after checking out and just take the shuttle to and from the mountain. I hope that they bring back the breakfast which was great and so convenient!
TV was awful - most buttons on remote didn’t work. Couldn’t change volume and major pain to even turn TV on and change channels. Wi-Fi, even though they have access codes for multiple devices, was very poor. Hot tub Jets too strong. They splash water in your face. But without Jets in was relaxing.
