The Outbound has done a great job updating this older property and making it very cool. The common areas are fantastic. The big fire area off the lobby is great for hanging out a playing games. Bar area is very nice as well. We stayed in a fireplace suite, which was very large and cozy. Huge fireplace, sitting area, and a small kitchenette which was great for making breakfast and snacks. Bathroom was also very spacious and we loved the soaking tub. The pool and jacuzzi area are also great. Very impressed with the renovation of this property.

We had a great stay. Nothing was bad.

Loved the 1 bedroom chalet with private entrance, kitchen, and living space. Very cutely decorated, well-equipped, large comfortable bed, and mountain views. The main lodge was cute and the property was very nice with pool and fire pits. Also on site bar/ restaurant and Crepe Cafe (get the iced coconut matcha!) Despite other reviews, we had no problem with the Wi-Fi - I was able to get work done, watch shows, and do all my social media posting!

I think they were in the process of renovating and still need to add grass or landscaping, however this did not detract from enjoying our stay.

We liked the quiet room and very helpful and friendly service. One of the staff, Leslie, was exceptionally helpful (thank you, Leslie!).... 24-hour coffee and tea was a nice bonus. It was even fairly good coffee (and I am really picky about that). The pool and jacuzzi were great. We were there during the early part of the week so weren't able to check out the Wine Bar, Sierra Bar, or nearby crepe-and-espresso food truck (not open), but they look nice. It seems like they are still making improvements overall (e.g., landscaping) so I look forward to seeing what it will look like in the future. And this place is very dog-friendly!

I had the impression that the staff was a little less enthusiastic about us having booked through a third-party (Booking.com) - understandable from their POV - but honestly, we got a better rate through Booking. We didn't like the loud music being played outside on the patio. It's not the mall!

Very nice room. Huge! King fireplace suite. Comfy bed and lots of pillows. View of nearby mountain and the parking lot. The receptionist recommended the 2nd floor as we wouldn't hear people walking above us--terrific suggestion. Sauna, steamroom, pool and spa were fabulous. Swam in the heated pool when it was 25 degrees outside.! The kitchenette was stocked with essentials, could have used a cutting board. TV wasn't able to find internet for streaming channels, but maintenance crew responded immediately and fixed it promptly the next day. We discovered fire pits, lovely lobby, places to hang out and rooms that we want to stay in next time after a walk around the property. Nicely done Outbound.

When I arrived the front desk person was overwhelmed --customers were problematic, she was doing the best she possibly could-- so I approached the bartender to ask if anyone else was around to help. He was really unpleasant, surly, unhelpful, offended that I asked for assistance when it was clear he was closing up for the night and only interested in getting out of there. He actually said that. Honestly. Gobsmacking, really. All other staff were phenomenally great.

Location. Walking distance to breakfast, lunch & dinner choices. Walking distance to town trails. Walking distance to bars & brewpub. Bus stop close to hotel. Lots of parking. Great staff, very friendly. Hot tub. Our room was perfect for the two of us and our dog. (King fireplace) Bed was very comfortable. Lobby area is awesome. You can sit by the fire and order from the wine bar. (closed on certain days) Any concerns with room issues (wifi, heated toilet seat not working, fireplace did not light) were attended to immediately. And Leslie at the desk was lovely! Our girl loved her. (Doggy treats every time we went by)

WiFi was inconsistent. Dog fee seems a little excessive. Only coffee provided in room. Had to go to lobby for tea. Mini fridge froze some food items.

The location is perfect! We thought staying closer to the slopes would be better, but we wanted to try other parts of town since this was only our second time in Mammoth, and we loved it here! There's a Rite Aid, grocery store, restaurants and coffee shops in a 5-min walking distance, and they are all great! We got a more local experience than when we stayed at the Village. Better food and better prices :) Also the bus stop is right in front of the hotel so it's a very quick ride to the gondola. The room was clean and the hotel lobby is gorgeous and cozy enough you'd want to hang out there. And they have coffee from Mammoth Coffee available all day. They are also pet friendly (which we love) but I have severe allergies and they weren't activated, which only shows how clean they keep the place! Also the team were all very friendly and kind. We'll definitely stay again in Outbound Mammoth 🤍

Nothing!

I love that the villa where we stayed was new, appliance, tv and showers. The rooms where just beautifully arranged and the beds extremely comfy. The toiletries were also top notch for us. Very new and modern villas excellent for families.

I am not sure what happened but the tv, microwave, stove and dishwasher where off at around 9:00AM we where enjoying a tv show when it turned off by itself, nothing that would make a bad experience for us because the pool and jacuzzi where the next option for the kiddos.

Cozy, spacious rooms. Newly renovated and has a nice rustic feel. Overall quiet and pretty good sound dampening, except for the stompers upstairs. Great location.

Some stompers upstairs at 5:30am. Otherwise quiet. The turn-in into Outbound up is steep and sketchy when theres ice on the road--Ive seen two wheelers slide down the driveway before. Instead, enter on the opposite side of the hotel complex.

Staff at the reception desk, Marcela and Judy were wonderful, helpful and kind.

Since I stayed from Sun to Wed, lobby bar was open only Sunday?! Restaurant was actually closed on Tuesday. And I couldn’t understand that hotel room has no hangers for jackets in the room or even the bath robes or towel hangers in the bathroom… I founded odd

Updated property, clean, good location (right along shuttle route and walkable to restaurants etc), nice lobby with large fireplace and bar, nice staff, large pool/hot tub, bathrobes provided.

Walls a little thin (could hear neighbors), poor WiFi in rooms, our room (accessible) did not have closet or wardrobe to hang clothes.
