This is a generic chain hotel, and as can and should be expected parking is free and breakfast is included. Mariposa is a tiny town so everything is within walking distance. Yosemite National Park is about an hour’s drive away though. My room was quiet and on the top floor, as per my request. Shower water pressure was excellent and WiFi was strong and stable. The coffee served at breakfast was weak and tasteless; however, there’s a coffee machine in the lobby with complimentary espresso, latte etc. My previous experiences with Best Western are mixed. I was quite happy with this hotel though, largely thanks to the staff who were friendly, courteous and helpful at all times. A special shoutout to the gentleman at the front desk (Patrick?), who not only let me check in early, but also took the time to provide lots of valuable information about the town, about Yosemite and how to drive there etc.

I know it’s standard at this kind of hotel, but I’m not a fan of the room layout where the bathroom sink and mirror are more or less in the room, separated from the rest of the bathroom, ie from the tub/shower and the toilet. It’s just not very practical, I find. The bed was not very comfortable, unfortunately - too soft for my taste and with a strangely uneven, “lumpy” mattress. Housekeeping did a good job, generally speaking, just watch out for those long black hairs (that aren’t mine!) that you leave behind… Breakfast: please provide a dairy free option (almond milk, soy milk) that is not sweetened. The exercise room: come on, you can do better! Upgrade the equipment in there and people might actually use that room.

This hotel was absolutely fabulous. Totally exceeded our expectations for this price point. The room was spacious and the shower nice and hot. The kids loved having a bath with a proper plug to splash around in. Great opening times for the guest laundry. Good sized fridge in the room. Location was great, close to Yosemite Valley, but in a town so you could get things you needed. The font desk staff were fabulous, went out of their way to explain the town and answer any questions. The hot and cold beverages available anytime in reception were a nice touch. Great lighting in the room, I could actually see into my suitcase 🤣.

I recently stayed at the Best Western Plus Yosemite Way Station, and it was a delightful experience. The hotel is situated in a beautiful location with close proximity to nature, making it an ideal choice for those wanting to explore the great outdoors. The property is exceptionally clean and well-maintained, contributing to a very pleasant stay. The breakfast offered each morning was delicious and a great way to start the day. Additionally, the tranquility of the area added to the overall relaxation and comfort of the stay. The location of the hotel is excellent, providing easy access to nearby attractions and natural landscapes. Overall, my stay was wonderful, and I would highly recommend the Best Western Plus Yosemite Way Station for anyone visiting the area.

However, I did notice a minor area for improvement: a bit more attention to the cleanliness of the hallways and walkways could enhance the experience. While the carpets appeared clean, they could benefit from a bit more thorough cleaning.

I am so pleased we decided to stay at the Best Western PLUS in Mariposa. Check in was quick and smooth with Brandie giving us recommendations on restaurants, which were all incredible. Her hospitality aswell as all the staff we encounted during our trip were so friendly, welcoming and just really lovely helpful people. We stayed in room 301 which was incredible. Spacious room with a soft and comfortable large bed, great shower pressure. Breakfast was buffet style with my favourites being the sausage and egg. The staff are really accommodating and offered a grab and go breakfast which you can do during breakfast hours or if you are setting out early, like us, they will prepare a take away box which a selection of breakfast items. 10/10 and whenever we may visit the area again we will be staying here. Thank you to the staff who made us feel so looked after.

As many others have pointed out: the front desk staff at this place is amazing, especially Brandie. As a woman travelling solo the friendliness of the staff helped me feel at ease. The pool and hot tub are amazing after a long day of hiking. I did my laudry while I was there and that was great, too. The gym is very basic but did the trick! Breakfast is good, too. I would certainly stay again!

The rooms are a little dated and could use updating. Everything else is so amazing (staff, free parking, breakfast) that it makes up for the lack of room amenities. But mattresses and carpets need exchanging eventually!

This hotel is as close to Yosemite National Park as we could afford - about 40 miles. We liked the town and the people we met at the restaurants. The complimentary breakfast was exceptional. It had good variety and was well-prepared. Of the places we've traveled, this was top notch. Chris, at the front desk was friendly and very helpful.

There was really nothing not to like about this hotel. Parking at the second level, west side of the building was conveniently close to the breakfast area.

After visiting Yosemite, this hotel was conveniently located in a nearby town and easy to find. Its location is excellent, situated close to a variety of restaurants. The environment felt safe, which added to our comfort. The amenities were well-maintained and thoughtfully provided. The breakfast was plentiful and by far the best among the hotels I have stayed at. The staff were friendly and kind, making our stay even more enjoyable.

The room facing the highway side may be slightly noisy

The staff is amazing here. The front desk was so accommodating when we asked to check in a little early after a very long drive and gave fantastic recommendations for restaurants in town. The people running breakfast were so nice and kept everything clean and the food never ran out. Our room was clean and had comfortable beds. About an hour drive to Yosemite National park and the town of Mariposa is worth a stroll. If you need food for your trip into Yosemite stop by pioneer market and see the ladies at the deli counter for great sandwiches.

No complaints.

The hotel locates in Mariposa county, there are a lot of places the tourists can go to experience the western American culture, museum, church, restaurants, souvenir shops and so on. One may go further to enjoy the beautiful countryside view of ranches and farms. As for the hotel itself, the room is spacious and clean. There are many free parking slots in the hotel.

It would be better to offer more selections in breakfast. The hotel is one hour driving distance away from the park entrance, therefore more time is spent on the road.

The hotel was in a good location in walking distance of most of the hotels and bars in Mariposa. There are a couple of restaurants which would have required a short drive. The room was comfortable and convenient since it was on the ground floor and the car could be parked outside the room. The hotel has 3 floors and no elevator so beware. Staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good. Mariposa is a charming small town about an hours drive to Yosemite NP. We enjoyed the mix of Yosemite (fantastic) and the small town charm.
