Location. Friendly staff

Lobby was under construction. Limited choices for dining Room could use freshening. Vents could use some cleaning (common area air vents covered with dust like pool area and arcade)

Staff were lovely and very helpful, but obviously overworked due to shortage. Beautiful location and lovely cottage in the woods. Very comfortable accommodation. Food excellent in terms of quality and quantity. Excellent concierge service.

In a cottage away from the main hotel meant driving or a long walk to restraunt and other facilities. Long waits for a table at dinner despite there being many empty tables in the restraunt. Put this down to staff shortages. Some members of staff could brush up on their customer service skills, but often these seemed over stretched.

The location is pretty great, we drove like 45 mins to an hour to the park, but honestly the route is great and enjoyable so we didn't care about the drive. The hotel staff was super nice, they share tips and give you recommendations to visit the park. Room was a good size for 2 people. Parking is pretty big so we would find space. The restaurant had good food, (try the pesto pasta), and there is a deli store where you can buy food or snacks, and coffee. I think overall it was a GREAT stay and I would definitely come back again.

The bathrooms at the rooms are not very private, which makes it awkward if you travel with a coworker. Doors are those that hang, therefore can't close 100% and doesn't have sound isolation, I think those should be replaced for some that provide more privacy. The sink to brush your teeth and wash your hands doesn't have a door, only the toiled/shower has. i think that could definitely be improved but wasn't a deal breaker.

The location, employees and grounds were exceptional! We enjoyed having a refrigerator and keurig coffee maker in our cottage room was a wonderful.

The carpet in the lower floor cottages was very dirty. All lower cottage rooms are dog friendly and we saw many previous pet stains. The rooms need updating but the location of the cottages was great! The upper floor would be a good choice because those rooms are not pet friendly. We have stayed in other hotels that have pet friendly rooms and they either have tile or vinyl flooring that looks like wood but we have never stayed in a room that had stained carpeting. Also, a small cafe type restaurant that is more affordable would be a huge plus. Due to the location of the facility, there aren’t many dining options.

Lots of facilities there and close proximity to the park entrance. Rooms were huge and with comfortable beds. Restaurant was good and surprisingly good value (as the portions are huge and can be shared!). Loved sitting my the many open fires at night with a glass of wine or s’mores!

- Daily room maid service was by request only and even after requesting it twice they still didn’t clean our room. - It’s perfect if you have young kids but if you’re here as a couple of want some relaxation time, note that there is a kids water-land park vibe in all the pool areas. - The BBQ got fully booked even though we were told we didn’t need to reserve a table

Close to Yosemite entrance. Nice game room and pools. Game room staff (young man) was helpful and friendly. Fire pits and fire places were great for sitting outside in the evenings. Water bottle filling station. property was clean.

Generally old and dated. Front desk girls were not very friendly. I asked where the s’mores were three times and the girl kept telling me to go outside and I kept telling her there was no one there with s’mores and she acted like I was crazy. Then when I finally saw another family with marshmallows and sticks they told me they got the supplies from the front desk. The same front desk girl then said “well i told you where the fire was”. Didn’t get a name, but young and blond. I also walked down to the front desk one day to get some extra pillows which a different girl said they would send up, but never did. I had to call again three hours later to request them a second time. They then came fairly quickly.

Excellent location for visiting Yosemite Valley, as close as you can get to the Park entrance without being in the Park itself. The facilities are excellent and there is plenty to do at Tenaya Lodge itself.

As may be expected for a resort, the prices for food and drink are very high ($50 for two pizzas that were no better than supermarket standard) and the quality of the food is average. The one night we ate in the restaurant the service was incredibly slow (we were nearly two hours despite only ordering two dishes and one round of drinks). Given the rooms themselves are expensive the cost of food and drink felt like a "double whammy".

Over all was amazing the staff was great!! The food, room, all was amazing. Levi was very nice to us, and he make sure we were ok all the time. He made us feel welcome and we left us with a happy feeling. Just because of their great staff and great facilities I would go back.

Some people (guests) were rude and made my mom, kids my self feel not welcome. Is sad to see how people have so much hate just by looking at us. We said good morning and people ignored us. We smiled they gave us such and ugly look to intimidate us. So much beauty of a place with ugly people as guests. Lesson for my kids for sure! Be proud if who we are and never let anyone take away your smile away!

I liked that the property was the closest to Yosemite entrance. they had a restaurant and we didn’t have to drive all the way to Oakhurst to eat. I have already recommended this place to others.

As many have said before. the staff could have been nicer. not all staff were unfriendly, but some were irritated acting Also I didn’t like that the bathroom area didn’t have a door, only the shower area did. The coffee pot and refrigerator are on the bathroom sink area. that was really strange. This is an expensive place to stay, but I the price drop booking . just know that although this is only 2 miles from the park entrance, you still have about an hour drive to get to Yosemite Village where you see everything

Our family loved Tenaya Lodge! We had a two bedroom Explorer Cabin. Our cabin was very clean and spacious. We had a lovely balcony area off the back that looked out on to a beautiful meadow (photo). The cabin itself was plenty roomy for us to spread out a little. The gas fireplace was a nice cozy touch. We also enjoyed using the lodge for the deli and restaurant. The food at the Jackalope restaurant was great! The deli had lots of “grab and go” items for breakfast and lunch as well as Starbucks coffee with free refills all day once you purchase your first cup. There was always a wood fire crackling in the outdoor fireplace in the front of the lodge. We didn’t use the pool but the outdoor pool and patio area looked very nice. The drive to the south entrance (Wawona) to Yosemite was less than five minutes. The drive to Yosemite Valley was about 50 minutes. It was such a beautiful drive into the valley area that you hardly notice the time. The drive into the valley also takes you right past Tunnel View which is a great way to start off your day in Yosemite Valley! We would definitely recommend Tenaya Lodge!

We loved everything! We wish that the sliding door to our balcony at the cabin had a screen door so we could keep it open.
