The property value is good for the price, It was a short drive and easy to find when coming from Cannery Row area. Being able to park in front of our room was also a plus. The beds were super comfortable and overall it was a nice room for our short stay. Michellé was super friendly when we checked in, and offered snacks, water and fruit at the lobby.
We found a few bugs in the bathroom and the TV service was patchy in some channels but nothing major. We could hear people walking outside our room since all rooms are right next to each other bit it didnât affect our sleep.

we loved the beautiful grounds with all the flowers, pretty trimmed trees, and succulent plants. The outside of property is beautiful at night with lights strung up through the bushes and trees. They also have a BBQ grill and nice seating area outside if you want to cook something while you are there. The staff is really friendly and professional. We did have a couple of issues with our room, but the staff took care of it right away. I want to thank Mr. Samir, Oscar, Chrissy, and Ritish for their kindness and seeing to our needs during our 3 night stay. We will be coming back to stay here in the future. đ
The mattresses are okay, but really need some upgrading along with the furniture. They did tell us they are upgrading sometime soon so I look forward to going back and staying there again.

Excellent location to stay mobile - right off the highway, made it easy to get into Cannery area and Big Sur. No frills, but friendly front desk with clean water and coffee machine. For a group of 6 friends zipping about, this place was affordable and great! Reviewers complain a lot about airplane noise but I didn't hear a single one over two nights. I expected to dislike the place, but found it pleasant overall.
Walls maybe a bit thin, could hear noise from outside, but even though the parking lot was about 75% full throughout our stay, we didn't hear much noise from the neighbors.

I think all the motels on this strip are all similar in layout and concept, its the management and decor that makes any difference. This hotel has very nice decor, and extra effort was put into appearances and small amenities, like really nice soap, great charging station near the bed, ample bathroom space. It was comfortable and quiet. I like the blue color themes and the grounds are well kept. I appreciated the free cold water available in the lobby. Wifi was fine. Rooms are very clean. Appliances are new. Fridge is spacious but no freezer compartment which was an issue for me as I travel with items that need to be kept cool so I have chemical ice packs that need to refreeze.
Prices are high for the whole area. Higher than they should be for this level of room. The room smelled strongly of bleach when entered, had to turn on fan and AC and open the tiny window space to air it out. The black out curtains don't meet which is typical of almost all these motels, and I forgot to bring a clip to hold the curtains closed in the middle, so there is light that comes in from the parking lot. AC was weak.

The property was not far which was nice. It was in close distance to Carmel and Monterey. It allowed for a later check in. The beds were surprisingly comfortable. We had an issue with our first room where the smoke detector was annoying and beeped constantly. I liked that the front staff tried to fix it and then decided to change our rooms in the middle of the night. So that was a plus.
The parking is very tight and hard to find parking for late arrivals. The walls are paper thin so you do hear talking and yelling and even tvâs on. The entire hotel is definitely and older motel that got remodeled and you can tell. Some of the rooms do have an old building smell to it. But these are more definitely things you can look over. Because overall for the price it was a decent stay and everything was clean and tidy.

The hotel was so cute from the outside! The rooms were spacious and clean and comfortable and everything we'd hoped for. The best part was the staff! Probably the most friendly and helpful staff we'd met along our road trip! They had wonderful knowledge of the area and shared many tips with us, we would have missed the Monterey farmer's market, and the Butter House without them :P Thank you very much!
If I have to point something out...driving in and out of the parking lot onto that big road was a little sporty for us that were not super used to US traffic.

Based on a few reviews that I read, I wasnât expecting much from the hotel. It is located not far from Highway 1 and is maybe 10 minutes from downtown Monterey and Cannery Row and close to the airport. I was pleasantly surprised starting at check-in as the clerk Michellie was very helpful and it was quick. Room 133 is a handicapped accessible room with a parking spot and ramp just outside the door. Inside, the room has a lot of space with simulated wood flooring, no carpeting so it can be slick if wearing socks. The king bed was very firm but comfortable. It had 4 pillows, which are small as you can see in the pictures. There is a small refrigerator in the corner with a microwave and coffee maker on top. The 39â tv is on top of the dresser and the desk is to the side. The bathroom is tile floored with a walk-in shower. The shower has a wall mounted bench and the shower wand is on an adjustable rail went at least 6-6â high as Iâm 6-5 and had no problem. My wife sat on the bench to shower and lowered it to about 3 feet or so. Outside and across the parking lot was a vending area with the ice machine, a soda machine and a snack machine nearby a little courtyard. Coffee and water for tea is available in the lobby. Just up the lot from the courtyard was a bigger area where I saw a gas bbq along with tables if you want to grill your own dinner. Some reviewers mentioned plane noise from the nearby airport but we only heard maybe 3-5 over our two day visit and none were late night. Overall I was happy with the facility and would stay there again. If I had a complaint at all, it would be that they want to charge anywhere from $25-50 for checking in prior to 4pm. We arrived at about 3:30 and were able to get in quickly with no added fee. Check-out is 11am and if you want a later check-out, that can also cost you an additional $25. Theyâll send you a text link asking if you want a later Checkout time and if not, an estimate of when you will check out.
There was no breakfast offered despite some pictures showing there was an area. A bright spot is that youâre not far from a number of restaurants, from chains to local eateries. No breakfast provided, but I was upgraded to a double queen, staff was wonderful. I was pleasantly surprised on how remodeled and clean both the room and bathrooms were. The bathroom was a nice size, bigger than my house bathroom.
There was a lot of noise from other families staying around us, hitting walls and bumping or trying to use our room door, which is understandable since they were kids. Just wished the rooms had a bit more insulation to reduce outside noise. I think an airport is very near, since we heard airplanes taking off. It wasn't too frequent but at times it was really loud. Aside from the thin walls, I had a nice experience. Ladies at the office were soo nice and helpful! : )

I don't think there's breakfast aside from coffee at the lobby but it's fine. We had to meet up with our family at Fisherman's wharf area for brunch anyway w/c is only 5 mins drive away. I like that our room has complete amenities. Everything is there including flat iron, refrigerator, microwave, etc and the parking is right there in front of your door.
The water coming out from the shower was just a little so it took me a long time taking a shower.

It exceeded our expectation considering the price leans towards the lower end of what is offered in the area. We arrived not expecting much but everything was really great - from staff to room. Staff: we arrived late at night and was directed to a night window to check in. The staff at the window was extremely friendly and lovely for how late it was. Room: room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Beddings felt sanitized and soft. Usually, when Iâm staying at Airbnb/hotels, I tend to break out on my face as I have very sensitive skin, but not the case this time! Lovely stay. Parking: we arrived close to midnight and there were still parkings super convenient to our room.
**None of these are anything to worry about, just minor updates hotel should be aware of for future improvements. Bathroom: bathroom door was jammed so it might be a safety issue for families with young children that do not know how to operate locks. Toilet: the plumbing system is so loud, literally scared us everytime we flush. Noise: Although it was a relatively quiet stay for us, the upstairs guests had young children, which created ALOT of noises in the morning. So if youâre a light sleeper, this might not be the right fit for you. But other than that, itâs really not a big deal like other guests have stated. Nice to have: indoor slippers would be nice since the flooring is wooden, and I generally donât like wearing outside shoes inside my sleeping space.
