Absolutely loved our 2 night stay here! Wish we had booked 3 nights! Fantastic service from Staff. Great price! It has recently been refurbished so it had a really nice modern, clean and fresh feel to the room! Bed was sooo comfy we had such a good sleep! Private parking right outside the room door! Good location and easy drive to local places of interest and we were able to walk minutes down the road to local restaurants shops and bowling alley which we loved! Felt very safe here after leaving a busy and chaotic Los Angeles.

No safety deposit box in the room - but really didn’t feel like you needed it here anyway! No breakfast included but lovely local places to go!

I didn't expect much from this motel, so I was pleasantly surprised to find it is comfortable, clean, and quiet; and the rooms are being completely renovated. The colors are very peaceful. The mattresses and bedding are new and very comfortable. The sink area, bathroom tile, etc. are new. Even the windows are new. There is a small table and comfortable dining chairs for eating in the room plus a fairly quiet mini-fridge and microwave. The renovations are not quite finished (see comments under didn't like) as explained by the friendly, motel manager. Wi-fi was good. There is no breakfast which wasn't a problem to us. A convenience store and a full grocery are nearby. Monterey is expensive, so, if you don't have to be by the beach, this motel is a very good option. The location requires driving into the tourist area if that is your goal, but there seemed to be plenty of parking lots; and hotels/motels closer to the waterfront cost a lot more.

There were no bedside lamps, but the manager said they had been ordered. The shower flow is exceptionally weak. I hope the shower heads will be replaced. There is a coffee pot with pods, but the pods are coffee with chocolate added, not to my liking. We got coffee from the convenience store.

The staff were extremely helpful and kind. The room was a great deal for what we needed. We were just there to sleep, but it was clean and comfortable.

The listing for the property says there was a spa and sauna. When we had different the day walking for 8 hours we were ready to ease our tired muscles. It has a note on the door stating it is permanently closed. There is no tub in the room, just a stand up shower. We were disappointed in only the spa being closed. We needed the walk in shower.

We were very happy with our stay at this motel. The room was very clean and looked as if it was renovated not to long ago. We were surprised how quiet it was despite there being some traffic in the area. We especially liked that there was no carpet in the room. Parking is free and you can park right in front of your room. This made it easy to load and unload luggage. For everybody on a budget: There is a safeway nearby for water and groceries.

Everything went well, great place. I would recommend it highly. Full kitchen, retro table and chairs reminded me of those I grew up with. Everything was superclean, staff and owner were great. Felt very safe as a grandmother with a teen granddaughter. Attractions were easily accessed. Hotel rooms were completely quiet. Price was right!

The very best part was the representative in the office and I apologize that I don’t know his name. He was the most helpful, kind, supportive manager. I asked a lot of questions and he gave me more than enough help. The room was spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was a terrific plus. Grocery and pharmacy nearby in walking distance. I didn’t even think about the Wi-Fi because it was working perfectly the entire time.

The strong perfumed scent of the disinfectant was difficult to walk into. I had to air out the room. It would be better to have a disinfectant that it’s not so strongly scented like air freshener. Suggestion: a small step to get up onto the mattress. The bed was very high for a short person.

We booked on Booking.com just 15mins before our arrival. The front desk gentleman welcomed me with a smile and addressed me by name before I could say anything as I walked in the door. That was so nice and appreciative. The room was very clean and had everything needed. We just needed to stay one night but I will keep this in mind for our next visit as it is conveniently located in the heart of Monterey with Fisherman's Wharf just minutes away. Great value for the cost all the way around.

Remodel is nice. Dog friendly, quiet, felt safe, clean, firm beds, loved the fenced Court yard so dogs can be off their leash.

Bed side tables in the second room would be helpful for water and cell phones at night. The chairs for the small table could be more comfortable. No grass area for the dogs. Finally the water pressure was really low.

adorable clean comfy and affordable. you get a bit of a more personalized home- like experience here than the rest of the hotel/motels on Fremont. Being a single female traveling for work , I felt safe and secure in my room and with leaving (some)of my personal belongs in my room while out for the day.
