Easy to find and within walking distance of a great Mexican restaurant - (I forgot the name). I was exhausted from working on a film project and Governor's Inn/ Hotel handled the transaction with speed, efficiency, responsiveness, and an appreciation for me as a guest. This was an inviting entry to Sacramento - a city I haven't been in for over 30 years. I would recommend them for a great deal via Booking and their customer service exceeded my expectations. I will return.

Some of the paneling is exposed. Elevator on the 3rd floor elevator 'sensors' were cracked. It took a few pushes on the buttons to get a response. Otherwise, all thumbs up!

First off, it was so convenient to get to from the Amtrak Station. Greeted by nice staff at front desk. They were kind and gave us a nice room on first floor. The lobby was very nice and nicely decorated and clean . Our room was very clean and quiet. Our t.v. didn't work too well though as it was pixelated so we turned it off. There was a nice continental breakfast set out for us in lobby before we jumped on our shuttle provided free of charge. Michael Our shuttle driver was so kind and friendly and helped us with our bags. We really enjoyed our quick visit with him on way to airport. The bed was on of the most comfortable ones I've ever slept on in a hotel. If ever in the area, I definitely would come back again!

The hotel and the room itself were very clean. The room was very nice and the bed was comfortable. I like that it's located right off of the freeway. The price is great for the room. This is the second time my husband and I stayed at this hotel and we will definitely be returning as long as the price stay affordable. I highly recommend this hotel.

The deposit was $200, which was unexpected and a bit high in my opinion. Next time I'll just have to be better prepared to have to pay this fee.

Close to Airport with a very friendly and helpful front desk, ( front desk ladies); 5 star, very safe hotel. security-premise and door outside secured. plenty of light breakfast/ coffee, juice, fruit, Toast, muffins.. every morning.. staff very attentive and helpful.😊 elevators quick… only 3 floors.. halls, property , bathrooms , snack area, lobby parking lot very clean and Quiet. carpets vacuumed daily, room service good, maids very professional and helpful. wake up calls attentive, my room was quiet and clean, adequate bed and warm and comfortable. large working tv, big bathroom( shower works well; takes awhile for water to get hot… but it does get hot) room was spacious ( and very quiet) homeless in back alley; but they’re unfortunately all over the capital and California. large protective fencing. security present and local police nearby and attentive. check, plus.😊 check in/out was great … hotel provides great transportation to the airport ( tip/excellent driver). I had a smooth, safe and comfortable stay. Macdonald’s next door with a gas station .🙂 ( nice refrigerator in room).. Ironing board/ iron nice pool/ jacuzzi reasonable rates … uber ride to center of Sacramento 12$ depending on time. imo for a good basic safe stay on a budget… 5 🌟 “ I’ll be back!”

nothing.

Security measures, appreciated breakfast included, nice pool area.. Very quiet in ros and hallways. Housekeeping staff friendly and helpful. Great value, central location. Will stay here again.

A lot of homeless and tent city one to two blocks away. But the Governor's inn can't control that. What they do is have a lot of security measures in place and it is also newly renovated You will not find any homeless roaming around the parking lot inside of the hotel.

The room was spacious , clean, and very nice! There was a semi private entrance so we didn't have to always go through the main lobby and our room was very close to it! It was a very quiet, nice hotel. We will definitely stay again!

There was no microwave, the towel rack fell off the wall with a bump of an elbow😒, there was always water on the floor in the bathroom in places that had nothing to do with the shower and there was no fan in the bathroom. Some of the tiles were cracked along the shower. The room was booked for 2 people , but they only left enough towels for 1. We were there a full week. Breakfast isn't really breakfast.

Room was spacious and comfortable, bathroom tiny. Obviously this was a solid midbrow conference place that's a little down on its heels. Easy to the airport.

Wifi was a complete shambles. I've got networking certs, I do this for a living... and it about beat me. Captive portal to an outdated self-signed cert. I eventually had to haul out IE 11 to get past it. Once logged in, speedy enough. Breakfast was the same wrapped Costco pastry sadness as every other hotel these Covid days. Pretty busy area for urban outdoorsmen (homeless), but that's also a whole lot of Sacramento.

Easy access from freeway, HOT water, room had a refrigerator, quiet, lots of parking, great coffee in Breakfast Room.

They need to highlight at the beginning of registration that cleaning service has to be requested. We ran out of towels, had to ask and that’s when we were told about their policy. Awkward. Large homeless camping sites near property, sad, eye sore, a bit unnerving. California has a huge problem. Also, Bedspread is outdated, doesn’t work with the updated flooring.

All the staff were very pleasant and attentive! We were warmly welcomed in the afternoon, and we were given a free late check out of noon, since we knew we would be out late for an event. After we came back tired and ready to sleep, I tried to charge my phone so it would be full when we woke up. I realized that my cord was not working and the late night desk person was very kind to let me borrow his. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and quite quiet for a Friday night!

Honestly, everything was great. No complaints! If anything, I'd say the location wasn't the best, but the hotel was wonderful.
