The room was pretty clean except for some ants that were crawling around in the bathroom. Everything else was as expected - the room was spacious, with two good sized and comfortable beds. There was a fridge and a microwave but no kettle (which I guess is standard in the U.S.) The staff were all very professional, friendly and courteous. The air con in the room was very good. The location was great - five minute walk to 5th Avenue trolley station - also close to Balboa Park. The area was nice and we felt safe walking around even at night. The price was very good and the hotel was what I expected for that price.

Had a spacious room with 2 queen beds and a desk. It also had a microwave and fridge. It was located in a quiet part of town. A 20 minute walk to Balboa Park.

It was updated at some point, but overall had elements of the past. The bathroom wasn't very well maintained. The shower tub faucet was caked with scale and was hard to close to push the water to the shower head. I thought the toilet wasn't clean, but was just old. Had to be careful with the sink faucet or it would spray water out of the side. After a shower, I picked up the bath mat and it was dirty from the floor not being cleaned well. The location was a bit of a hike to the Gaslamp district and the harbour. 10-15 minute to Gaslamp area, 20 minutes to the Harbor. Breakfast was just carbs.

Small motel close to the Gaslamp Quarter, very convenient location, 20-25 minutes to the Marina and to the Balboa Park and the museums. Spacious room, comfortable queen-size beds, very clean. A large desk with a good chair and a desk lamp, perfect for remote work. The staff is nice and helpful. The airport is within walking distance.

Wi-fi was not working for an entire day. Noisy neighbors could be heard from the next room. A kettle in the room would be welcome.

The room was great and very comfy. A bed exceed our expectations and bathroom was clean and had everything we needed. The area is OK and very close to public transportation. Free coffee in the lobby was also big plus.

Breakfast choices were very limited. A food was not replenished in time and if you're not lucky enough you might get just bread, bagels and philadelphia spread. But I should not complain too much taking into account the price of the room. It was definitely "free breakfast". A parking costs $19 per night and the most accessible parking lot is very tight.

I liked that the location and it was was clean.

We had problems with our AC unit. It wasn't working and no one came to fix it. They gave us another room but but it only had one bed and the room was smaller. It' was unconfutable in our room and we had to share a bed. The reservation was for two beds. I didn't like that the AC didn't work and we had to move to a smaller room and we had to share a bed.

Nice hotel. The room is spacious, with 2 big beds. Lights and windows working fine. The bed is comfortable. The reception is open 24h, and there is free breakfast. The hotel is very central, near a pedestrian street full of bars and restaurants, and near a very big park.

Too few power outlets. The bathroom is too small. The shower is very hard to use, being at 160cm of height. The roof of the shower is 200cm tall, so there is plenty of space to install a regular height shower, but they didn't. There is no shower curtain. The breakfast is badly organised. The waiter only brings more food every 45 minutes, at that point many guests try to catch all the food at once. There are only ~8 little tables for more than ~60 rooms.

Front Desk was able to get us first floor for we didn't carry all our camping stuff up and down the elevator. Parking is cheaper then others, close to everything, and very clean and kind. Bathroom soaps were Dove products. Kids loved breakfast. Coffee shop right on the corner and banks all over, walking to nearby place was nice and clean

Booking.com stated no parking charges, but it down town so we should have know something was wrong. $19.00 for parking , but it cheaper then other hotels.

I really love the area, walk in the room it was clean and neat we didn't experience any noisy neighbors, nice and calming, relaxing environment, property it's self well maintained. Coffee provider the the office area. But I wasn't able to walk in for breakfast this morning but there's always next time. Oh well. I like the most was that they have installed body wash shampoo and conditioner. Then hand soap with lotion my setup. I really did enjoy myself and it was not what I expected it would be but it's pretty nice and decent and I recommend this location to anyone. I took myself and my boys but everything else it was fine.

What? I didn't like about the room. Is the AC had an order? Maybe you guys should check that out. Other than that everything was fine. Oh one more thing The little fridge I think it's not working cuz I put beverages in there and it wouldn't get cold. I don't know if it was disconnected or was connected but other than that not really. That's it. It's the AC, has an order and the refrigerator wasn't working or was probably just disconnected.

The location was great. Friendly staff.

I didn't like that I had to pay for parking at the property.

I'm giving this hotel an overall rating of 10 not because it's a luxury hotel, but because it was a very good overall deal (price/quality/location) and all the staff was very friendly. They don't have an airport shuttle, but it's just 3 miles from the airport so an uber or taxi is doesn't cost much. Other hotels in the area with an airport shuttle were much more expensive. I walked down to the waterfront (San Diego harbor) in about 20 minutes. Since I had time (and only a backpack for luggage) in the morning I also walked from the hotel to the airport to catch my flight. The second 2/3 of that walk is along a walking path that follows the waterfront.
