I like Art Deco, so I was very pleased to see so many Art Deco features in the hotel - whether they were original or not. The location is excellent, within walking distance of Balboa Park or Gaslamp District. Rooms were super comfortable and clean. Thoughtfully and stylishly decorated with old pictures or posters of San Diego in the early 20th century. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We were a group of relatives from California, Texas, and the Netherlands, staying at Worldmark Balboa Park for a wedding. Since the hotel was fully booked for that weekend, I stayed in a different hotel nearby - and was free to walk in and out to meet my relatives. I really appreciated this.

Great staff who were helpful, made sure we had everything we needed, and greeted us every time we went in and out during our trip!

The rooms had a old smell to them and overall the place does seem pretty dated. In addition the surrounding area is a little rough. The staff make up for the location and any other shortcomings.

Comfortable spacious room with separate living room/kitchenette. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Outstanding, friendly, and professional staff! Nice, spacious one-bedroom unit with small but very functional and well-appointed kitchenette. Nice rooftop deck. Fantastic valet service. Very clean! It feels like the employees care about guests comfort.

Some minor traffic noise and one small elevator, but it’s a historic building, so you get the charm but also the effects of when it was constructed.

The staff was friendly and accommodating. The rooftop was clean and beautiful at night. The room was comfortable and clean!

No restaurant on site; paper goods were low quality & did not compare well with rest of high quality items.

This hotel is close to everything.really nice to have the little kitchen.

I don't like paying 20.00 a night to park.but I feel everyone is changing for parking now.used to be free a few years back.

Good location, big room and great roof top terrace

It’s actually a timeshare property and you get hit with a sales pitch as you arrive trying to get you to come along to presentation the next day. Also still awaiting the refund of the $20 placeholder on my card that was actually taken as a payment.

Did not know breakfast was being offered. Everyone was professional and respectful but I found the parking attendents to be the most professional, respectful, courteous and super helpful.
