Location, location, location. Really cannot beat it! The beach is steps to your right, restaurants steps to your left. Bicycle rental across the street. It truly could not have been any more perfect for an on-foot vacation. AC worked great, shower water hot, bed cozy. Our room had a huge window that let in a ton of natural light during the day and a peekaboo view of the ocean. Rented a "partial" ocean view room and that's what it was. Staff was incredibly friendly. Basic that met our needs.

I didn't get the room I thought I had booked, however, staff offered to move us over when that room became vacant. We chose to just stay in the room they put us in, it worked out just fine. The shower had a shower curtain versus a glass door as pictured. Not a smartTV so nighttime watching was DirectTV with commercials. I didn't like the paint color at all (a pretty aggressive blue!) but I knew what I was getting into when I booked it!

Amazing location, friendly & helpful staff, clean, updated room, fire pit, complimentary beach chairs, towels, and umbrella. Overall great bang for the buck.

Our room had zero view. Room 107, one window looks out directly at a wall, and the other looks into a storage/maintenance area. Also, the people in the room above us were heavy walkers and we could hear their frequent movement. But their noise died down early. We aren't the type to complain over these little things. I suppose we could've asked for a different room, it would have been nice to have a view of boardwalk/ocean and not have anyone above us, but again, not a huge bother since we didn't stay in the room much as we were always out.

Location was Beautiful Room was very clean and very secure Beach entrance close Downtown bars and breakfasts, shops, so close. Absolutely amazing location to accommodate a variety of needs and wants

The parking could have been better, being that we arrived late, we did find a perfect spot however I can see where when checking in on time parking can become an issue. I would definitely suggest reading the parking area on their website and book your spot if available.

Louis was awesome. So friendly, and he made sure we were taken care of. The first night, the light on the balcony was shining through the little curtains like a spotlight. The manager put up a curtain and it was amazing. No more spot lights.

The towels were small. The shower curtain was to close that it kept hanging and touching you when showering.

Close proximity to the beach and walking distance to restaurants and shopping.

The room with double beds is very tight. The sink in our room was also unattached on one side from the counter. $30 a day to park is ridiculous but it is a busy area and didn’t want to risk leaving car elsewhere.

Great location. Surprisingly quiet in the middle of it all. Accommodating staff.

Our room was way too small for 3 people—we were bumping into each other. Also not a fan of the bathroom door which did not allow for any real privacy.

I did not know about the breakfast... it was not mentioned. There was a dirty spot on the floor next to the lamp with the two light bulbs. Kind of like someone dropped ketchup and it wasn't cleaned up when I got into my room... but overall, it was a great place to stay and Def will be coming back

Its a nice little hotel on the beach. Rooms are very small and simple. But always clean. The front office has beach chairs and umbrellas to use which is very handy!

And ice machine for the hotel would be much appreciated

The position is incredible, bed really comfortable and the room new.

There weren’t an hair dryer. You have to pay the park and is not always available otherwise you have to find it by yourself. In our room there were some construction side next to it and in the morning we were hearing everything.

I absolutely loved the first woman we met, I am unable to remember her name but she was a sweet young woman with wavy brown hair and she was so kind and helpful. The property was gated on our side and we had a “security” type door before our door as well, I was very happy about that. The beach was less that a 200 ft away from the hotel. you walk 50 ft and you can see the entire span on San Diego coast and ocean line. It was incredible for the price. They have an interesting “light key” which is a room key you stick into a card slide on the side of the wall and you now have power to the room, if you remove the key the lights shut off in about 60-120 seconds. The room was very clean.

No microwave, which was specified in the description so I was aware but I still don’t like not having a microwave in the room. There is a microwave in the office to use, but they close at 9pm so if you’re out late, no heated nighttime foods. Also must purchase a type of parking pass to park the the front of the building or you may get towed, it is incredibly frustrating finding parking so budget for a walking distance garage or lot down the street. Currently $60 for 24h or $8 an hour.
