Nice hotel close to the Painted Ladies and other vibrant streets with lots of coffee shops. The room was pretty small. We had a private bathroom.

The hotel has no elevator and the stairs are pretty steep so if you have a piece of big luggage, good luck. The complimentary coffee is only available from 7 am to noon which is disappointing because there is no coffee machine in the rooms.

Great location, so easy to walk to places! And very convenient for taking the bus, especially the 21, 22, 6 and 7 routes. I easily walked to the Hayes St restaurants, Haight Ashbury, Japantown, to name a few areas. Skate Church is right across the street too if you're interested in roller skating. Agree with other reviews that the street traffic can be a bit noisy but I used earplugs and it was fine. Room was small but it was clean and had everything I needed so it was great for a single person. Be mindful that there are only stairs if you have heavy luggage. Staff was good at answering questions around check in and check out time. Great value if you have simpler needs as a traveller.

Heating was a bit inconsistent - sometimes it was on full blast and I was sweating in January, sometimes it was barely on. I talked to another guest whose heat wasn't working at all in his room, but I don't know whether that was sorted by the staff.

The staff were friendly and helpful, I stayed in room 305 which was clean and tidy and bed was comfortable, room came with a bathroom and that was kept clean and tidy,it looks down on to Fillmore street which is a busy road so bring some ear plugs! the only drawback is the hotel does not have a lift so if you can't do stairs it's probably not for you,so all in all a nice hotel to stay in, The area felt safe at night and was only a ten minute walk from Haight street where there are a choice of Restaurants to eat in,Palmyra restaurant and Nickies bar/Restaurant where two I liked.

No lift so if you can't do stairs it's not suitable for a person who finds stairs hard to do.

The Hotel was located rather central, but still not in a very busy area. The helpful staff were at the reception 24/7.:The room was rather small, but had everything we needed. The toilets and showers were kept clean and there was never any queues. For being as central as it is, the price was reasonable.

The room was rather warm and the ceiling fan was broken (we told the staff at arrival). The is no AC and the only way to get your room slightly cooler is by opening the window. The only problem with that is that the other room's windows a really close. It felt like sharing your room with the other guests.

It was clean and comfortable and near to downtown. There was a young woman, forgive me for not remembering her name… it starts with SH, we need help with retrieving our baseball tickets from our cellular and she went out of her way until she found them. we appreciate it from our heart and thank you again. The only down fall is that there is no elevator, even though they accommodated us in the first floor, but still we had to climb stairs. we were four seniors. It’s no problem for young people. Ohhh and their coffee machine did the best coffee ☕️ delicious 😋! Thnk you!

The location is perfect. The hotel is quite besides the busy street. They offer coffee in the morning. The room was clean besides the sheets but when I asked the maids they changed my bed sheets very fast and that fixed the issue. They have a private bathroom in the room but we seen they had bathrooms in hallway too. Tv, Fridge, and microwave are available in the rooms.

No elevator, and the bed was not that comfortable. No AC or fan in the room (it got really hot and stuffy). No private parking available. The rooms are TINY!

Room was fresh and tidy and had a fridge and microwave, which was useful because I was there for a whole week. Great view of downtown from the room window. Staff helped me in and out without a fuss. Convenient central location in a cool neighborhood next to Alamo Square.

The room was really small. It also got really hot, likely because of the fridge in the room, and there wasn't enough ventilation or even a good way to prop the window open, and the window was also pretty small. Bed was a little too firm. I was on the top floor and they didn't have an elevator. They also said it could take up to a day to fulfill requests if you needed anything.

Really good location, the staff on reception were extremely helpful with getting about the city and if we had any problems they were solved asap. Very friendly and very approachable. The location to both access the city and have peaceful nights were perfect.

The cleanliness off the bedding. The douvet was dirty with stains and marks. Also the bedding did not fit the mattress very well, after a few minutes in the bed, the sheets would come off of the mattress making for a very uncomfortable sleep.

The location is great, right next to the Painted Ladies. The room was nice and we got it before check in time. Free coffee in the morning. The staff is really helpful and nice.

It's not so much about the hotel but San Francisco in general. We hated it. So many beggars and crazy people, cold, windy, cloudy, you can never see the bridge and every single street is a hard hill to climb. We don't recommend wasting time in San Francisco.

Great staff, location, comfortable bed, clean - we stayed 2 weeks and we could rest and sleep well at the hotel.

Smell of the room, we kept the window open and there were open windows at the hotel but smell was still strong in the room. I think the problem are the carpets so would be good to wash them. Except this all was perfect :)
