Upgraded to a room with balcony and Bay view. 100% worth it.

I understated the pandemic changed everything, but we were surprised that a Hyatt Regency did not have a restaurant.

Beautiful hotel, great location. The lobby and elevators are very cool. Our room was comfortable and well-appointed, with a lovely view of the bay. And high marks for cleanliness!! The shower had awesome water pressure. All of the employees we spoke to (front desk, valet, bar) were very nice and helpful. Overall, this was a superb hotel. Highly recommend.

The parking charge was a bit high ($80/night, but you can take it in and out), but it wasn't out of line with other hotels in the area and the valet was speedy/easy to deal with.

staff, from valet, to check-in, to desk personel, to lobby bar crew were all fantastic. Was in for the Dead & Co. show on a Sunday at Oracle Park. Bar staff kept the bar open, serving until 1AM, to accomadate the guests returning from the concert; thanks guys!!!!!!! late night desk guy set up my wake-up call, and talked me into setting it 1/2 hour earlier than I originally requested. He was right, wouldn't have got the car back in time to catch my flight with original wake-up time; thanks, man! as to the room: spacious, sparking clean; perfect!

All GOOD!

This was a beautiful hotel. The Lobby is stunning. It was right near the ferry and central to all transportation. The room was big, clean and there was daily service.

Breakfast is not included if you choose the Breakfast package. Instead it is $32/day/per person . This was one of my reasons for booking this hotel. The hotel market prices were crazy expensive. Valet was also $80 a day. It made this trip pretty expensive. Homeless problem in area but I am sure that's not to be avoided when being so centrally located.

This was probably one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at, especially for a major city. I am so so happy we chose this hotel over some other options in the more touristy areas. - The area is wonderful. No, it's not what many guidebooks will recommend for first-time tourists to San Francisco, but I PROMISE it is better than staying in Fisherman's Wharf or Union Square. The area feels really safe, is super close to ANY public transit you could need (it's literally just outside the door), and is a wonderful place to walk around and explore, with many nice restaurants and coffee shops. Could not say better things about the area for a traveler. - The hotel itself is very impressive. The lobby is beautiful and the elevators are beautiful and exciting! They were working on a gorgeous Christmas display while we were there. - The room was large especially for a city, very clean, and we fortunately booked a room with a balcony, and OMG, what an amazing view. I highly recommend staying here for visits to San Francisco!

Good location, impressive inside, good room and good to have balcony for some fresh air.

I was mainly surprised about the poor quality and state of the balcony doors. Not at all soundproof or energy efficient. Fortunately, not too many sirens outside as the sound came right in. Loud music at the car level entrance of the hotel gave a strange impression. Surprised, such a large hotel didn't have any staff that checked who entered the hotel. The food in the cafe didn't look too healthy/appetising.

Location

Struggled to get the key to work for my room, had to walk all the back down to get a new key after waiting in line. Just to have to repeat again after key didn’t work the second time. Security never met me to check it out so did it again for a third time. I actually wanted a refund, think next time I’ll try a different hotel since I don’t pick my rooms based strictly on price alone.

Rooms were nice and kept very clean, the atrium is visually cool. The location is awesome, walking distance to a lot of interesting things. It's right on top of a BART/MUNI station which makes it really easy to get to from the airport.

Because the atrium is completely open, there are no hallways. The echo can be rather bad depending on what's going on in the lobby. For example, my room was on a low floor above the kitchen/dining area, so I would hear plates, silverware, and people talking while they eat, starting very early in the morning and going until late at night.

Good accessible location. We were able to find handicap parking right outside the door and so we didn’t have to pay for parking. Our car was safe the entire time. The area of hotel was clean and we felt safe with our kids. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable and surprisingly quiet. No slamming doors or screaming people/kids. Very pleasant

The elevators were broken (not all) so it made the wait times for an elevator quite long. Especially for the regency club.

The staff was exceptional every single one of them, the view from my balcony was lovely , & I told the staff it was our anniversary, after check in they called up to the room and brought us champagne in the house in celebration It was super close to the water soo convenient, with a delicious food and trinket marketplace right out the doors at the port of San Francisco

Hehe how far I walked each day but that’s not on the property just miles walk up pier 39
