Absolutely wonderful price in a great central location for San Fran! Really appreciated how kind and attentive the staff are, the room had a good amount of space to it and was always so clean! Also right next door to the best Ethiopian food in the city! I will be staying here again next year for GDC for sure. Also comes with a small fridge and microwave!

You're paying for a slightly budget hotel here, so it's not surprising that the beds are on the stiff side. My biggest complain is the AC unit; it must have been a dehumidifier as well, because every morning when we woke up we were dying of thirst with terribly dry noses and mouths. By the 4th night of our stay, my lips had cracked terribly and bled in two places (I never have to use chapstick, this was just our environment here). That being said, I'd rather have it dry than moldy! Also keep in mind that this city isn't very safe at night. Keep that in mind when leaving/returning to your hotel room. We were nearly cornered by the elevator one evening. Not the hotel's fault, but something to remember if you're vulnerable and staying alone!

Great price, clean, next to BART station and the city centre.

A lot of homeless people in the area, not the fault of this hotel, but feels uncomfortable. The lift is very old and slow.

The location was very good as we just needed to go to an event nearby. The room they put us in was huge and perfect for a group of four and not cramped at all. Stairways and elevators require room key to enter so it felt safer. The area is what you’d expect and not the hotel’s doing so just be cautious of your surroundings, that’s all! Good value

Very very very kind staff. Location was great, we were attending a concert at the Bill Graham Civic, which we walked to/ from. Large room, good amenities, and did I mention the staff is AWESOME?

Beds were a little uncomfortable but not too bad. Lighting was dim. TV/remote was not working too well. AC didn't seem to have a "fan" option so we were either too cold or too warm and we could only get one window open. At check-out, we walk to the elevator with 5 days worth of luggage (3 girls!) to find it closed down. Not their fault, I get it, but we did wish they had someone to help us carry our luggage down the 2 flights of stairs.

Clean room, a lot cable TV options available, big and rather comfortable bed. The motel was really affordable in terms of pricing in San Fransisco standards. Cleaning everyday. I had very low expectations given 2-stars

The 'curtains' were not fully blocking the light. Also, the street is quite noisy which made the night sleep a bit less comfortable. The pillows could have been better. Close to the city center with a lot of homeless people but that's not the motel's problem.

The room was clean and comfortable. It's a central for visiting the city. Good quality for the price considering it's San Francisco and everything is expensive.

The neighborhood is full of Hobo, but they are not aggressive or anything. It's disturbing and can be a little uncomfortable, but you can just ignore them. We hear a lot the guests just above us.

Great family-owned place to stay on a budget. The staff here is incredibly hardworking, professional, and polite. I stayed in the least expensive "queen" room, which was pretty spacious considering the price. More importantly, it was clean, pest-free, & had a private bathroom. The walls are thick enough to shut out the city noise below, as well.  Conveniently located—Civic Center BART/MUNI station is one block away, and there's MUNI bus stops all over. There's a Walgreens a block away and a little market across the street.  Don't be fooled by a lot of the other "budget" hotels in this city... A lot of them look nice online, but they're a NIGHTMARE in person!  Fortunately, there were no surprises here. The rooms are just like the photos, check-in/out is easy (no hidden fees nor outrageous policies, etc.) & the owners/staff are straightforward, honest people. If you have reasonable expectations you'll find this place to be a great find.

Frienfly and helpful staff. The room had everything we needed - fridge, microwave, coffee maker. Good price for San Francisco.

Wi-Fi didn’t work very well. There are a lot of homeless people in the street, but the hotel is doing their best to prevent them from entering the object. The corridors, staircase as well as the elevator are only accessible with a keycard. We didn’t have any problems.

I liked that the staff was really helpful and attentive to their guests needs. The location was close to the train station so it was easy to get around. The room was really clean.

The area wasn't the best but the place made sure to keep the hotel property safe. There was noise at night by other customers. but over all our stay was good.
