I like thed everything about the hotel. The design, the facilities, the rooms.
The location was a big downer for my family and I. It's located in an area where the streets are populated with homeless people. Doesn't feel very safe to walk around freely.

Rooms are clean and very well appointed especially the bathroom. Beds were comfortable and room was quiet (despite our room facing Turk Street).
No surprises since we knew the area well enough before booking but Market and Turk is a gritty area. The hotel had visible security in front of the hotel entrance. We didn't have any problems and would come back and stay again.

The line did everything right. I loved their coffee machine, the bed was amazing, the rooms were so clean and tidy. The staff was friendly. We were overall extremely pleased with our stay. There was easy access to the public transit and lots of places to eat nearby. The hotel restaurant was also good.
One of the reasons we booked the Line was for the Alfred coffee shop in the lobby. It's not as good as advertised if you're also a coffee nerd. Just keep that in mind. Also, the location isn't ideal, but it's not as scary as everyone makes it seem if you're used to traveling in different areas you'll be fine.

The location is right on the periphery of the tenderloin district , which as anyone who knows San Francisco will know has a natural homeless problem. And if you werent prepared for that it might have an influence on your stay. However the hotel and faciities are very very good , very comfortable rooms . great coffee shop onsite , lovely breakfast and a fantastic rooftop bar (albeit closes a little early for my liking ). Great transport and walking links to all areas of the city.
Better breakfast selection , although good not an extensive menu. Rooftop bar closes early most nights.

The new hotel is easy to get in and out. Easy to have dinner or a drink on the roof with for once a actually good hotel bar. Rooms are just about right for a short stay with good soundproofing inside and outside.
I was not blown away, its feels like a copy of CitizenM hotels for bigger pockets. On arrival i found the particular staff member very rushed, managing several things including taking phone calls when we were checking in ( this me mid taking too ) Sorry but we travelled for a day to arrive to you... not great to be met with. Beds also really low... fittings already showing signs ware, entrance lobby marble broken on the door, marks all over the walls... not great.

The proximity to the Bart was really convenient so that made getting around simple. The decor inside was beautiful and the corner suite was an amazing experience with the tub. Really cool that there’s an Alfred’s in the hotel too!
The staff wasn’t mean but they just seemed annoyed to serve my girlfriend and myself but idk if it was only to us because they seemed friendlier to the other guests. Also not the best vibe to have drug deals happen right in front of the hotel or having a view from our room of people doing drugs but i guess there’s not much the hotel could do, that’s just sf for you lol

Lovely new hotel with excellent facilities. The food in bar/restaurant was very good value for money. There is a little coffee shop in the ground floor which was great for grab and go breakfast. Very handy for shopping at Union Square and only a couple of blocks from the old cable car terminus.
This hotel is described as being in Union Square, however it's on the very edge of Union Sq and quite close to the Tenderloin district where the homeless people congregate. Just around the corner from the hotel are a number of makeshift homeless shelters.

Wow factor room with luxury finishes and furniture. Amazing views from every corner. Open concept bathroom with freestanding tub overlooking the San Francisco skyline. Security guards 24/7 Outstanding Housekeeping service. Best coffee station I've seen in a hotel room. Upscale Rooftop bar with amazing views of the Downtown. Walking distance from Union Square.
It's located in Tenderloin, famous for attracting a lot of homeless people. The Bar & Restaurant has very limited service hours. The room was nice but somehow was lacking storage space and other basic items like a towel bar or microwave, for example.

I liked the spotlessly clean rooms and the soft and clean bed. Yes, being a coffee fan, I loved the coffeemaker provided in the room. Also, I enjoyed the beautiful view from the window, especially at night and in early morning hours.
There is no place to hang the clothes or towel in the bathroom. I fail to understand the logic of not providing towel hanger. Also there are no slippers. There are a number of homeless people on the pavement across the road. Though they did not approach me, their presence made me nervous and made me cancel my plans to step out and explore the city at night. It was an eyesore in what is one of the wealthiest states of USA.

Extraordinarily beautiful, spacious rooms with amazing views (and Vitra furniture!). The hotel and its guests share the neighbourhood with the much talked about drug addicts and homeless people. It's sad and hard to watch. But it's a reality that we should face and think about. We and our three underaged children had to adapt but never felt unsafe, even coming back to the hotel at night. Go there, you'll love it!
