Numerous small details such as very friendly staff with tips, gorgeous courtyards, 8am daily delivery of delicious local pastries outside our door, hand steamer, heat lamp outside the shower, comfortable bed, dimming lights, jetted bath, fireplace, semi-private patio with lounge chairs, etc. The location is just a 5-minute walk to Sonoma Square with parks, numerous restaurants, shops, historic buildings, etc.. We will return!

We have so few complaints. To pacify the ask, I would say having separate remotes and settings for the AC, heater, and ceiling fan was odd.

Everything was great except the a woman working at the front desk who was rude to us each time we encountered her. We asked if the water dispenser could be refilled — she behaved like this was a bother and complained about it being so heavy and that “she’d try her best.” The second time was at checkout; she complained again that she didn’t know whether we had checked out, when one of us went to her office and she wasn’t there. To which she responded “I was doing other things.” Okay? At every other place in Sonoma and from the other employees at Cottage Inn, we only had pleasant interactions. Please be aware that this person is negatively impacting your otherwise very nice business.

the room was lovely and bright. Would be lovely with the doors open in better weather. The morning pastries delivered to room were great to enjoy with fresh brew coffee in room. The fireplace was not working which they apologise for and left bottle of bubbles and chocolate strawberries to say sorry. They did try to fix and room heater worked so not an issue. Great location off the main square so easy to walk to restaurants and shops but in a quiet location.

Our room was not cleaned during our stay but not sure if we needed to ask/leave notice on door.

The Cottage Inn and Spa is lovely and perfectly located just a block away from Sonoma Square. It’s in a quiet neighborhood close to the bike/walking path. The Inn is clean and comfortable, and the staff is very welcoming and great at making suggestions about things to do. I stayed in the Alta Suite, which is beautiful and comfortable. They leave breakfast at your door every morning. I would highly recommend for a long weekend and will definitely return. Thank you for a great stay.

The common sitting area by the fire was really nice. Our group was able to meet before dinner and have a few glasses of wine and unwind after our trip up to Sonoma. Fireplace in or suite was great!

The heater in our bedroom (North) suite did not work very well and there was no heat in the bathroom. Heat in the sitting area worked fine.

The location was great - very walkable. The space was nice. I love that our unit had a private outdoor area and kitchen. The pastries delivered in the morning is also a nice touch.

I wish that there was a tub instead of a shower. The front desk person was not very welcoming and she deactivated our room code before checkout time which made it challenging to load out.

Ideal location in downtown Sonoma - could walk to dinner and shops every evening but just enough off the square that it was quiet and peaceful. They had a beautiful courtyard with comfortable seating around a fire pit for drinking wine or tea in the evening. Such a comfortable spacious room in a tranquil and serene setting.

This is a great Boutique hotel. It is very close to the town square. You can easily walk to restaurants and stores. Our room was amazing! We stayed at the Alta Suite. It is the only one located on the second floor. It is above the spa, so it feels extremely private. The room is beautiful. Amazing natural light, comfy bed, fireplace, living room and a great hot tub. They have board games in the lobby for entertainment which was fun to take up to our room. We had to check in late and they called and gave us written instructions a couple of times to make sure we could check in by ourselves. Really took good care of us.

Not a huge negative, but on our check in date there was a town event and parking was difficult. I did not know there wasn’t parking in the hotel. Also, didn’t know there was no TV or speakers in the room. Again, not a huge deal but wish it was better explained so that we could’ve brought a speaker or something with us. Our breakfast was a bit late on our first day so we did have to delay our wine tasting a bit. Not a big deal, but something to be aware off. I’m being a bit strict because pricing was a lot more that other weekends so my expectations were particularly high.

Exceeding expectations by far! I asked for roses for valentines day and they came through with a beautiful bouquet and even chocolate covered Strawberries I didn't ask for. There was no bolt lock on the door to the room but it felt like a pretty safe area. Amazing stay. Highly recommend!

There was no lock on the door inside. Not a bad thing, necessarily, just unexpected. And directions for the jacuzzi jets in the bathtub could be helpful.

It's an amazing location to downtown Sonoma. It's a great place to unwind and disconnect.

There was no television in the room, not the end of the world. But hard to Netflix and chill. Also multiple lights with multiple switches, would have been nice to have one by or two central switches to control all lights.
