We are campers and have stayed in hotels, as we do not prefer hotels to the great outdoors. However, Ayres was an exception. It was definitely an upgrade...the facilities were gorgeous and the breakfast was beyond what we expected. We didn't even go the 1st morning based on our past experiences. Boy did we regret that when we enjoyed breakfast the 2nd morning...what a treat. We were too soon for the Happy Hour. However, we were glad to see that it was a success when we swung by when it was almost over. Also, I'm a light sleeper...not a problem at your hotel...THANK YOU! And, it was our 1st experience with our cat...we appreciate that!! The next time we're in San Diego, we will remember you!!!!!

The handicap parking wasn't always available, so that was definitely an inconvenience. We were afraid to leave to give up our spot since there weren't very many. But, that's the only thing that comes to mind.

I love how the lobby was decorated, the staff were extremely friendly, the room was comfy and clean, the bar area was great, and the location was only minutes from from the place I needed to go. I would definitely recommend staying here!

There wasn't much of a view from my hotel room and I don't remember asking for an accessible room so when I went to take a shower, I had to hold the shower head because its holder is at midlevel. I wish there would've been a holder rung at normal height for tall people as well. These were just minor inconveniences and didn't ruin my stay.

Beautiful clean room, we loved the jacuzzi. The property offers free coffee and water. Big beautiful bathtub.

The pool was too cold to use in September. No pool towels, just very small towels. The breakfast was awful compared to Ayres in Orange County. It hotel felt very corporate. Powdered juice and fake maple syrup. No strawberries and whipped cream for waffles. No bacon. The server told me "she would die if she had to cook and serve bacon in addition to sausage." Breakfast was a huge disappointment.

- The breakfast was great, waffle, sausages & eggs, order to cook egg white omelette. - The staffs were friendly and helpful with all the enquiries. - Free parking was a nice to have. - Laundry facility available.

- Only one washing machine and one dryer available, and it cost $4 per load each, more expensive compared to hotels in LA & SF. - Good to have a pets friendly hotel, but the dog barking when the lift was opening up was a bit scary. - The lift was a bit slow for a 3 level hotel.

This was our fifth or sixth time staying at Ayres and we are never disappointed. The staff members always make us feel comfortable and were very attentive to our needs. Everything is always clean and well organized. Pets are allowed but you would never know unless you physically see them. We always ask for a room at the end of the hall and for the most part, the hotel always fulfills our request. The rooms are spacious and well-lit. The bathrooms are big as well with a nice size shower/bathtub. Everything is so clean and sanitized which is a huge factor when we book hotels. Joy is amazing and she made us feel like Ayres was our home away from home.

Nothing negative to say about the hotel or the staff. However, there was a lot more foot traffic and noise than they normally have due to some youth sports events and wedding guest in town for a wedding.

It was our first time @Ayres Hotel it was all great and amazing experience my family loved it so we extended for another night.The cleanliness, the service and staff are all amazing. We will definitely come back. Highly recommended.

The shower theres not much power so it takes time for you to rinse lol. The footsteps from unconsiderate people not sure if its a passer by from our room or the room on top our hotel rm you can hear it early in the morning that youd wake up as its so loud.

Newer hotel. Clean. Friendly staff.. Associate made mistake on my room, and the Assistant Mgr. was apologetic and super nice about the mishap. The breakfast was GREAT! Anna, one of the cooks is AWESOME as she was so accommodating and helpful.. If you’re even having 2nd thoughts about staying here, trust me, Book the room, Enjoy, and thank me later..

Sanjeep misread my ID and gave me wrong room, but was rectified quickly and seamlessly..

This hotel exceeded my expectations. Staff were very friendly. It was a breeze checking in and out. As soon as I entered the hotel I was impressed by the modern interior design of the lobby, as well as the room that we stayed in. The sofa bed, free breakfast and free parking was a plus 👌🏼The place was really clean. We had a comfortable stay at this place. I highly recommend this hotel. We'll definitely come back again.

The room appeared clean and was relatively spacious. The hotel is located in a somewhat unique location with potentially beautiful views. I also appreciate the fact that this is a pet-friendly location.

I did not appreciate that the shower did not drain at a pace rapid enough to prevent water from rising; being disgusted of germs, I decided not to shower as the water would certainly immediately rise past the soles of my shower-shoes and touch my feet, something I find disgusting - fortunately this was a single night stay. Unfortunately, this makes two-out-of-two Ayres hotels in which we were unable to use the shower. The elevators were quite creaky and a bit rougher than one may be used to; this caused us to use the stairs. The view from the hotel window left much to be desired - this was not a great concern.
