We always try to find a Hampton inn when we travel. It's our go to place to stay. My kids are not small, and so we need space!! We love the Breakfast and the pool.

This location needs to keep a better eye on the pool. I was trying to remember if you allowed alcohol and swimming? Kinda made my kids nervous as we could tell the older kids in there had been drinking for a while. It got better and they left.

There are many options nearby for hotels. This facility and room were very nice and clean. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast options were varied and kept stocked. There was an additional crock-pot of "Chili Stew" which I know as Chili Verde (this one had potatoes added) that we especially liked. Access in and out was easy, even towing the trailer.

The attendant at check-in was "curt" in general and acted annoyed when we asked where we should park our car towing a small U-Haul trailer. There was no option to park on any street surrounding the Hotel. The foot-falls from the room above us seemed heavy and heard loudly in our room. Once I noticed that, I noted that our footsteps also sounded heavy, so were likely heard in the room below us. Luckily the footsteps above stopped early enough not to disturb our sleep.

The amenities are modern and are in great condition (like new). They do a good job of keeping the room and the public area exceptionally clean. That makes us safe to stay. Great hot breakfast selection.

The night staffs (before midnight) seems impatient or a little bit unfriendly as I reported the issue of the thermostat not working and asking for additional bed sheets. This is what happened... - The temperature was 92 degrees Fahrenheit as checking in the room. - Reached out to the front desk several times for assistances through phone and in-person. - The A/C remained blowing out hot air even following the given instruction of lowering the temperature on the thermostat to the lowest point. - The end was to beg the staff to come in-person to witness the issue. - She unplugged the cover of the thermostat to fix the issue. She apologized for that about the unacceptable action from the cleaning staff.

the breakfast was above and beyond what you would expect from a midrange hotel, the facilities, pool and hot tub were clean and maintained and the room was very spacious with great amenities (e.g. refrigerator, bathtub). It made it a great stay for a family.

Nice king size bed and a room with a view of the mountain…even if you had to look around the Bayview to see. Newer facility with comfortable mattress and linens. Very clean…and I’m picky. Breakfast typical of Hampton Inns and met our needs.

This was an exceptional experience for us. We were three adults (parents and daughter). Expected to pay a little more because of it being a Hampton and close proximity to Mesa Verde. Room was large, clean, comfortable - even the sheets on the beds were great. Meal was really good. The electronics in the room were so thoroughly designed that there were USB ports at bedside, at the desk etc. - plenty of them. Our next room was a competitor's and it just didn't measure up, so we scheduled our next two after that to be a Hampton - all of them good, but the Cortez one was the best.

Clean room. Lovely front desk staff. Breakfast was good. The pool and hot tub were nice. Nice view. No horrible odor in the room like other places on this trip.

Beds could have been a little more comfortable.

Great staff. Close location to mesa Verde national Park and local restaurants.

Advertised as pet free however there was a dog in the room next door. As dog lovers we had no issue with this but could be bothersome for others. Would be beneficial if they installed water bottle refill station. (does have water fountain)

This hotel is so clean and efficient that I asked upon checking out if it were brand new. The breakfast was better than most chain hotels’. Staff is extremely friendly and the location couldn’t be better for a trip to Mesa Verde NP.

Great location right off of the highway. It is only about 45 minutes from four corners monument. The room was clean & spacious and the breakfast was well stocked.

Everything was good.
