The hotel was located right at the base of the Colorado Collegiate Range of mountains. There is a local hill with biking and hiking trails just down the street. White-water rafting and many city activities are available within minutes. The amenities inside the room made it feel more like staying at a family member's house. For example, the coffee provided was an actual container of grounds from a local coffee shop. The coffee cups themselves were small, decorative ceramic cups.

The A/C unit in the room was not placed in a good spot and didn't work very well. Since the temperature was in the 50s each morning during my stay, it turned out to feel better in the room to keep the windows open than use the in-room cooling unit. The bathroom was extremely small and had barely enough room to move around in.

The staff was able to accommodate our preferred room request and expedited our checkin. They are attentive to our needs and made our stay comfortable. We love the parking right next to our room. Overall the room was very clean and comfortable as we remembered it each year. The location is good too to be away from downtown noise but easy reach to most places.

Not really much - very minor items as below. These items could add up if left unmaintained over time as we would gladly like to return for our annual trip. -Molding on flooring was starting to come up. -Fridge door shelf was broken off so you couldn't store anything on that shelf (but we used the other shelving). -Extra paper products could be left in the cabinets. -Bathroom could be left a little cleaner (ie toilet). -Some slight smell when on initial entry. We aired this out and that seemed to help.

The staff was truly exceptional, cheerful and pleasant. The room was as advertised, was clean and was a good price compared to other places in town. the location was great as well. It was out of downtown but close enough to get to restaurants or coffee or grocery stores, within a handful of blocks actually. We will stay here again and absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting. Woodland Motel will take fantastic care of you and your family on your vacation.

There was not an abundance of off street parking. There weren't many things we didn't like about the room. It was a nice place with a good value.

Older but updated “Mom and Pop” hotel. Comfy bed, with plenty of pillows and extra blanket. Plenty of hot water in the shower—hand held sprayer. TV directly across from the bed. 2 luggage racks. Small table with two comfy chairs. I was surprised that this small space also had a nook with fridge, microwave and coffee-pot (with fresh ground coffee). Parking just outside the door. Quiet area. 3 minute drive to downtown. Pet friendly. Exceptionally clean.

I was happy. Some people should pay $50.00+ more for a larger room, with breakfast and pool, a la The Comfort Inn or whatever. I just wanted a safe, quiet place to hang out for the night. I also believe in supporting independent motels.

The location was perfect for our family's needs, while there for a wedding. Our room could have held 6 adults, but we had 3 adults and one 2 year old. Personally, 6 would have been a bit tight for me. I did not realize it had a full kitchen! It pays to do some homework in advance.

We could have used a few additional items, but we left a list and hopefully they'll understand the benefits for the next group.

I loved how they have renovated this vintage motel. It had a nice kitchen and pleasant touches, such as a plant on the table and cute containers for coffee stuff. The staff was super friendly. I would highly recommend this motel.

The only disappointment (and this was my fault for not checking a map) was that it wasn't really walking distance to downtown.

Cleanliness !! ..and my sweet little room was warm and cozy, everything I needed for myself and my doggie companion, even a motel provided dog bed; bowls and treats were also offered. I had a microwave, coffee pot with local Brown dog coffee, and refer. Downtown was within walking distance if desired and trails winding through the hills or along the river just a few minutes away. Reasonably priced too.

Nice clean comfortable room within walking distance of downtown. The office manager is close by and was very easy to reach given the quality of the instructions on the office door.

The motel parking lot is located on the curve of a very busy street. It's a little dicey getting in and out.

Staff very helpful and friendly. Nice clean hot tub. Good location. Unit had a full kitchen and everything was very clean. Quiet. Near town but out of the center. Close walk to the river and pedestrian path.

It takes a lot for me to write a rave review. Woodland's new owners/managers are incredible. Even if I didn't have a dog I would stay here. My room was super clean, comfortable, great price, and I couldn't believe how customer oriented they are. I had a minor complaint - totally my own issue - and they went way above and beyond to accommodate me. I didn't ask or expect it. In this covid era of everyone's angry on both sides of the desk and customer service is almost non-existent, these guys are the opposite. If you stay here - and you should - don't ruin it. Seriously. You won't find anyone like them, and you will want to return, just like I do.

Nothing to complain about. Look forward to going back asap.
