Great location and lovely ambiance. The continental breakfast was better than expected. A suggestion would be to change the offering. We were there for two days and it was exactly the same each day. Dinner was very good — also better than expected.

Regarding the room comfort, the chairs / seating could be a little more comfortable. We were in the room more than expected due to a snowstorm and the chairs were not comfortable for long stretches of seating.

The free breakfast offered every day but the weekends has definitely improved. Buffet style with eggs, bacon etc., and included with room price was good even though we ate just before they closed it at 10am. We are not eating in restaurants yet if we can avoid it so the first day the host opened the door to the outside porch for us. When it rained the next day we ate inside the mostly deserted bar area.

We had a corner lower level room and there were two wedding parties coming onto the property. We seemed to have had a crowd of young men over our heads doing a Morris dance. Better soundproofing would have helped a lot. A delivery truck at 6am did not help matters.

Breakfast was very nice and the dining area restful overlooking the back. We had drinks on the patio in the afternoon and the drinks and service were excellent. We had a late meal 9:15p in the pub and even tho it was packed and close to kitchen closing hours, the food was very good and staff very pleasant and accommodating. I have family around the corner I visit every year and will definitely stay here again.

This hotel was perfectly located, had all of the amenities for our stay, and we enjoyed the breakfast provided. The sleeping accomodations were the best we've had while traveling. We will stay there again and have recommended for others to stay at this property.

The heat/air conditioning unit was very loud and cycled very often.

Initially I got a terrible room in the old MOTEL part of the facility. Something in the room triggered my asthma. The front desk attendant was more than happy to give me a different room and substantially upgraded me to a MUCH NICER room (122) in the main wing of the Hotel area of the resort away from the old motel part. (see pics 2-4) The breakfast included in the room price was hot and fresh. The breakfast room was very pretty. The pool was wonderful. Outdoor and heated with towels provided! A NICE TREAT!!

The old motel style rooms are awful. Tiny window AC unit smelled awful!! Bed was caved in in the middle (see pic1) Couch was horribly stained, carpet was old and looked filthy, smelled terrible and I suspect are mold and mildew ridden. Make sure to book inside the HOTEL not the separate MOTEL building! I did not know that there was a $15 per day facility fee.

The hotel is really nice situated and really quiet. We especially enjoyed the bar area with the pool table where my kids had a lot of fun.

The beds were not super comfortable. Also, the included breakfast on weekends was not served in the restaurant but was a take-away breakfast in the reception area. The breakfast in the restaurant on weekends was a la carte.

This hotel is located in the beautiful town of Avon at the very foot of the Avon mountain. There is a long tradition with Avon Old Farms quality both at the nearby private school and the former restaurant known for its great food. Seasons, the on-site restaurant, is an excellent replacement for the former. I enjoyed the rib-eye steak immensely. I rarely consume every morsel on the plate but this was an exception. I ate everything presented. I highly recommend this hostel to any traveler. I know I will be looking for only one location for my stay in future trips to the area. The night host upon check in and my explanation of the need to have a strong wi-fi signal to work put me in a room which provided a signal strong enough to get done what needed to be done and I appreciate her efforts in assigning me room 114. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and provided a good nights sleep.

Comfort level of the room’s chairs. They were quite uncomfortable especially after spending time in them.

Cocktails in bar were tasty. Friendly staff. Brunch was delicious. Major complaint was toilet took a long time to flush, didn't know if it would. Towel bar broke first thing in bathroom. Beds were very comfortable.

Elevator needs to be painted. Need to update things a little bit in rooms.

Just about everything at this jewel of a property is above average. The staff are attentive and always there if you should need anything. The breakfasts are hot and tasty with a good selection of items.

Only critique I have is to stop serving bacon. It’s a product which I never partake in. The scrambled eggs are good along with the home fries. Perhaps an added perk for morning guests would be to add a waffle station. They always seem to be popular with guests.

The hotel setting is very pleasant. Nice places to walk on the grounds and areas to sit outside on patios. The pool area was very clean. They offer a breakfast that goes beyond the typical American fare. Buffet with freshly cooked eggs, bacon and homefries. Bagels and a variety of cereals. Our room was quite spacious and clean. The staff was cordial and helpful. The hotel also had nice lounge areas where one could enjoy drinks and chat.

We were disappointed that the restaurant was not open while we were staying midweek. However there are numerous restaurants in the area.
