Check in and out was very easy and staff were very friendly, rooms were nicely renovated, great place to watch sunsets and collect sand dollars, parking was convenient and included. State park is next door and a great place to fish. Enjoyed musician by the pool.

Although this property is located on the beach, it is a long walk to the beach so if you forget something in your room, it is a long walk back and forth, hot tub is small.

All hotel personnel were extremely courteous. From front desk to facilities to housekeeping and entire restaurant (both) staff. I would highly recommend (and have) Sand Key as the place to stay while in Clearwater. However please also see comments on “ dislikes”

The parking fee for guests was totally bogus. A 7 day stay at current room rates should be sufficient- it needs to end. Phone did not work- the patio door lock was broken and safety bar missing. Both curtain rod connections broke off during stay. All Minor inconveniences however the quick response and professional manner in which all issues were addressed was impressive. In addition the closing mechanism of room doors needs adjusting-doos were constantly slamming.

It located in the beach but a bit far to walk if you have some difficulty walking far in soft sand.

The a/c wasn’t very efficient and the thermostat wouldn’t change

The pool is very nice, loved the private beach areas, the room was very clean and nice and the A/C was phenomenal, I liked that it was a little secluded from the main strip/beach area but also close enough to easily access whatever you needed and wanted!

The pool could have a few more shaded areas around some lounge chairs to provide shade when it’s super hot and sunny!

Clean hotel, good size rooms, friendly staff. The location is relatively ok.

We were there right after the storm, so the private beach - which was the main reason we booked the hotel - was hard to access. The distance from the hotel's pool to the actual beach was filled with sea water and debris.I understand that the storm was the uncontrollably factor, but shouldn't the hotel have some solutions for their own private beach?

Friendly staff and all the help up to our room with luggage. The grounds were a amazing and the pool side chairs are so comfortable. We also enjoyed eating on site, so delicious and convenient.

We hated the the automatic light that turned on in the closet!! Every time I got up to go pee in the night it would come on and stay on for 3 min and flood the room and woke the others up. It needs to have an off switch for night time.

The room was perfect. The hotel has direct access to a quiet and beautiful area of the beach, with golf cart rides to the beach front. The hotel guests have complimentary access to the local bus to the centre of Clearwater, which is very helpful.

The swimming pool is a bit disappointing, quite small and therefore feels really busy. The bar at the swimming pool closed earlier than advertised.

Location, location, location. Most beautiful beach on the west coast. Loved the golf cart rides from pool area to shoreline. Great shelling. Spectacular views and sunsets.

My room was obviously discounted because, as a "low floor no view" room, it had a balcony that overlooked the garbage and maintenance area. This particular room was also last on the floor next to a storage room that had a lot of coming and going/door slamming. I really really love Sand Key, so I tolerated it, but It should have been discounted further than just a little bit in my opinion. Also, the pool bar closes at 5pm. Why? That's even before sunset. That part was very inconvenient and frustrating.
